As you can see - using Clydie_Animations didn't work, while Clydie_Anims did.

 

I chose an old save which requires some 'maintenance' to match currently played saves.

Yes, Clydie uses an odd file name compared to others. 99% of the time, just type in whatever the clip file is called... usually kw_creator's name_animations. Look at the clip file and that's the name to type in... 99% of the time.

Hello, I absolutely love your mod! The only problem is I keep getting bad script errors in my files every time I get on the game. Example KWLog_export then a bunch of random numbers. I also keep getting a ton of desktop script errors in my folder. I'm not sure if the Desktop Script error files have anything to do with the mod though. If someone could tell me why they keep popping up that would be great! Thank you.

No clue - everybody gets them. The files are small in size, but the amount will continue to grow if one doesn't purge them occasionally.

 

I generally have to clean MANY KWlogs, and then a few from EA itself (game crash). Not sure if there is a setting/command to turn off logging, but as mentioned, they are small and unimportant to the function of the game.

For me, animations are the "salt in the soup" and in case of SIM 3 the more the better.

I have 26 animations packs running meanwhile without error messages from KW in the log file and no limit therefore in sight so far.

Some of the animation does look a little odd, so what....

Would like to provide my list herewith to all Sims 3 fans. The names in bold are correct names to register in KW. But be sure you have the corresponding OKW file to the animations.

AND some of the below animations KW registers automatically. I.e.Oniki's  "kinkystages" which come with KW.

Some of this animation packs are pre KW and had AW files only. But if you look into the Passion threat, second post I think, there you can find the OKW files what JimSinFan have written for us to be easy usable with KW.

I hesitate to load up my OKW files here since I modified meanwhile most of them in the way to have them more realistic in my sense (correct partner selection).

Mean I did remove most of this strap on thing. Because if you disable strap on in KW, the animation look stupid in my eyes in case of the female roles trying to

penetrate without anything ? Further it's not realistic to me having a vaginal animation where a Girl uses Strap on and the man get's.......

The creator of KW doesn't seem to come around here anymore. As for script errors, just delete them as you start your game. Its what I do. I don't know what they mean.

No errors? None? Ever? Don't know how that's possible. I can run a virgin KW program and have a dozen script errors on loading! They don't seem to do anything.

Yup... NOPE! Not my thing either... I even removed the parts package when I installed KW.

 

I'm going to have to see if I can find some of your animations list. )

You can download both and keep them on file, but only one can be installed into your game. 399 is the newest public version. It has a few more features than 375, but landess and I both feel 399 has too many issues and we both use the older 375 version.

 

The animation packages are basically the same. Check Clydies list for ideas. Check landess's post for installation. Check the link landess provided for Kinky TV videos that work. All in in posts in this thread fewer than 5 pages back.

One zip file.  Choose one.  That's fairly standard for almost any mod.  Guessing you're very new to either TS3 or modding in general.  With that assumption, here's a huge suggestion:  Download this and run it every time you install a mod. http://modthesims.info/d/387006/testers-wanter-sims-3-dashboard-tool-updated-20th-june-2011-v1-2-4167-38743.html 
1. run sims3dashboard

2. filter | duplicates (or just the duplicate button at the bottom)

3. if any are shown, make note and go fix, if not, continue

4. filter | clear filter

5. filter | conflicts (or just the conflict button)

6.(repeat #3 & #4

7. filter | corrupted (or just the corrupt button)

8. repeat #3 & #4

9. filter | sims 2 package (or just the sims 3 package button)

10. repeat #3 & #4

11. if you make it here without anything found, exit sims3dashboard

12. go play ts3

 

If you find any issues, you'll need to fix those.

 

Duplicates mean you have 2 or more identical packages, delete all but one.

Conflicts mean you have 2 or more packages that cannot coexist.  Pick which one you want more than the others and remove the others.

Corrupted means your packages are not "valid" (as per the verifications used by that tool).  You probably do not want any of those.  Remove, redownload, and recheck.  If they're still showing as corrupt, remove and find a different mod to do the same thing.

Sims 2 packages cannot be used (safely) in TS3, remove them all.  This happens every now and then when you forget to check that you're on a site for the right version of The Sims and downloading something.

 

I'm sure this has been discussed a few times in this thread's 585 pages, but finding things sometimes can be frustrating.  Just try to not let it get to you too much.

Sorry do not want to confuse you or anybody else. What I meant was, that I get no error messages in terms of the XML of the OKW files for the listed animations.

KW creates during start and end three Log files. Therein sometimes are hints to errors in the XML of the OKW animation files. My OKW files are working and show no errors there, what mean all animations are loaded correctly.

Of course I face error files too. Sometimes more than five after one game session. The more features you use (brothel, school a.s.o.) the more error files appear.

 

Besides that, KW saves a localization file too. Therein untranslated keys (language strings) will be listed. Since two years I translate for myself the localization file of KW into my mother language (German). Those localization files I catch up since and implement those into the German localization file. Meanwhile close to 500 strings. So I only very rarely I get such a localization file out of KW and I can enjoy a duly KW in my language. There are only relatively rare -generic- strings what this KW localization file does not catch up.

Really it is a very nice and a different KW game experience..... Oniki takes not much care about the wording in the game, to bad ?

 

By the way, those log, error and localization files I delete always before I start the game.

AND, you need to go to the city view in the game (not city edit) click on the icon of your desired building and register it as brothel in KW. Make sure this building is owned by your family. I mean just buy it !

If this building is owned by your family, then you can open it as brothel via phone or computer. Once done that, you can hire a Sim by using the option

manage brothel (or similar) offer enough money to this Sim and if the sim agree, you have your first employee. But be aware, you must assign this sim to your brothel

and establish in the menu which appear the work schedule a.s.o. May be this will help. Tip : Hire NOT a Family member at first. (it did not work for me, at least)

Oh yes, as far as I know the brothel must be a public building, which one does not matter. Start with Local Bar or so, then you need only to set up the schedule for your employee for the opening hours and some more options..... Just try out.

If files are 'lost' to the internet and no possible links are available AND it isn't a matter of the author removing them with some explicit instruction, then for archiving purposes, most file uploads should be acceptable. Otherwise a link to the original, and a private message to you wanting the 'upgraded' versions should be fine if I get the Rules correctly.

 

If you want to maintain a file location where anyone can download like a Megashare/Cloud option. then you can create a link here as well.

 

For example: OnikiKay maintains a Patreon site, with links to it, as well as uploads here. I've 'found' a site with free downloads of many mods including the latest KW patreon version. Would I 'share' this info here? NO

 

Will I share it in a private message? NO

 

Why? If one asks this they don't 'get it' and I'd rather not deal with those whom don't get it.

As you are aware, the Sims 3 has issues to begin with. Many have 'created' in an effort to make the experience much more enjoyable. As time has gone by, those with the means (better system), desire (got to have the NEW), or other have moved on to the Sims 4. This leaves less people here to help with issues. It's easy to see you're a 'tech-guy'. Me? Just a guy whom knows how to 'flip an egg'.

ver .375 shows prostitute icons both on the map and ingame (see them through walls) which is distracting /agree.

 

I haven't tried to play games on the Sims 3 computers in years, and even use a mod to stop autonomous computer gaming on them. It's possible that KW does interfere with this mechanic, but someone else will need to confirm it.

Both Brothels I've run have been the PC's home. Setting the hours makes it public during these times (even bypassing the security gate from Nightlife). Those already there need to be asked to leave after closing. One can make parts of the home private by locking doors - Hello Mr. President, didn't know anyone was in the tub.....

You are German, OnikiKay is French (I believe)

 

Without the implications of past wars in Europe, I'd say it's just the usual suspects of the language barrier, and modern technology. If I can figure out what someone means, that's good enough for me. The Tower of Babel will never truly go away.

Clydie, I did exactly what you said. I create a brothel, register on the wall of the bulding and, at my home, from my phone or computer, There is not create or open brothel. I don't know what to do. Maybe it comes from the setting. I don't know ! ?

@carine florida What version of KW are you running?

 

I ask because I can tell you really want help, and seem willing to do what it takes. If it's the newest version, then I just can't, since I use .375 and this bothers me.

 

So many issues, so many problems with the newest build. So many players using it...

 

It's like watching some kid you know fail at something over and over again, but there's nothing you can do.

 

.375 is the shallow end of the pool, it's safe there, and people can help you.

Awww thanks.  I lurked, leached, and learned long enough (like 14 months)... or, well, since most of the last 4 was about 16 hours a day, 7 days a week, just running TS3. ? life? I have a simlife, that's good enough! lol

 

And, well, as for system... um... i7-8700k @ 3.7GHz overclocked to um... something around 4.5GHz with 64GB of (waaaaahhhhhh EA please do a patch for TS3 to let me use it) memory and a GeForce GTX 1060 w/ 6GB memory. ... Yet, with all that gaming power, what do I choose to run?  TS3.  Because the reviews for TS4 had me not even wanting to download it, and the (what I've read) crap dealing with Origin has me not wanting it even if it is free at the moment (or so I saw someone mention recently).  Maybe it's because my idea of games was started in the CGA days, and anything too good loses the "game" feel and starts feeling like a movie. (shrugs)

Oh, hey, an actual KW question:


At some point KW introduced the ability to "drug" drinks, but I've never had the ability to do that if ordering drinks in a bar (either for another sim or a 'round' of drinks).  The only time I've ever seen that option available is if a sim makes drinks on their own, in a non-bartender type situation.  Is that the normal behaviour, or did I bollocks something up along the way?

I've never pursued the drink/drug thing.

 

Speculation on it: It's not tied to Nightlife, so the professional bars are exempt. When a 'serving dish' has normal drinks on it, I believe you can spike a drink as an option to drink/bring to another/? if you have the drug in inventory. This is about as far as I understand.

 

It seems a lot of ideas were started, but the more they are integrated, the more problems arise. We see this all the time in the Sims. When an EP is introduced, then other mechanics have to accept and play nice with the 'new'. Not always the case, followed by patches....

 

Just remembered, the KW drinks - Beer/Wine/Whiskey/Absinth - these may also be used, but not sure. I tend to avoid these as they definitely add spice to the game, with some results that last well beyond the boundaries of 'reality'.
