Trollirious Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Oh, and here is another sneak peek: Khajiit and Lykaios Overlays. The base textures are the same for khajiit and Lykaios now, a dull grey which means you can get any look you like using Racemenu Overlays. Below are Cheetah and Calico cat. You can pick any colour, I just chose a natural ginger. im too speechless to fully tell how i feel so this will do

The only thing that really bugs me about making body overlays is that in racemenu there is no tail slot, so the tail textures don't get picked up. :/ I tried to see if expired could either add in a tail category or tell me how to edit the racemenu mod to do it myself, but I didnt get any very clear answers other than it is possible, but requires a re-make of racemenu and editing the nioverride.dll. *sad face*.... Still the textures look pretty awesome eve with no tails. Going to have: Cheetah, Leopard, Lynx, Calico, Lion, Tiger, Dalmation, Merle, African wild dog, Fox points, Border Collie and a heap of tribal paints.
Trollirious Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 i wish you luck then i hope you find the way to the small problem ^-^
darcw0lf Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 That's pretty awesome, though I want to see moar wolves!

Guest guilmonn Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Whoa. Wonder if there's a way to distribute these to NPCs... Maybe based on current facial markings? From what I've read here, there is no way to make overlays work on NPC's.

From what I've read here, there is no way to make overlays work on NPC's. the good thing is I can make these into normal skin textures, which you can then apply to individual NPCs in CK. They are for all races, so I'm making them for Lykaios mainly but just checking that they look ok on everyone.
Deadly Kitten Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 krittakitty, I just want to say that every time I see that this thread has been replied to, it brings a smile to my face. This is one of the most awesome mods I have seen yet, and the one I look forwards to the most. No hurry, just want to see the awesomeness perfected. Whenever it's ready, it will be the most glorious thing to grace LL. You guys are awesome.
Lynx3n Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 This looks amazing! I'm literally just going to play Oblivion, and Oblivion only, until this is released. Then, I'll finally go back to the world of CTD's that is Skyrim
Gluumba Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 This looks amazing! I'm literally just going to play Oblivion, and Oblivion only, until this is released. Then, I'll finally go back to the world of CTD's that is Skyrim Haha, yeah Bethesda's infamous CTDs in fallout, fallout new Vegas and Skyrim. If you want any help with that let me know, it took me hours for each one, but i've managed to get them stable enough that only me being an idiot while installing a mod (like not reading the description properly and seeing an incompatibility) can crash it. All the games i mentioned seem to come half broken, at least they did for me, and the mods just make it worse if you don't 100% know what you're doing.
Kyora473 Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 I can't wait for SOS Male support to be complete. I managed to convert the textures for Khajiits and they look lovely on them (no-one has yet to create high-rez textures for sos khajiits). But since the penis texture is not yet released, my little project is incomplete. I can't wait for the next update! Same here. I tried using EternalBlack's Immersive Bodies, but that causes males to have this weird mane thing going down their backs, and I couldn't figure out how to hide it. Really hate Khajiit having the same penis as all the other races, bugs me to no end. I don't like how IB's khajiit tails look like the butt feathers of a duck. : S That said I've been eagerly awaiting this and every time I check it looks more and more amazing. Keep up the good work you two (Kitty and Porsche) : 3

Just when I thought this couldn't get any better, you mention the African Wild Dog pattern! I hate to be "that guy", but would there be any chance of and option for the larger, rounded ears that AWD's have in real life?

I was thinking they would work well on THIS race, since it is already quite close (but not quite since it is based on a Hyena not a wild dog). But yeah, I could probably make an optional head which has the super huge rounded ears. I'm thinking on floppy beagle/puppy ears too, but that will be long after I finish this mod.
Trollirious Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 ^ first time ever seeing and hearing of this Kygarrra race....so cute

Doggyknot Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 That would be awesome, thamks for even considering it! I bet the hyena ones would even work if they were enlarged and had the right textures.
Bad Dog Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Hey, @Commander John--it was an off-the-cuff remark, but I've gotta defend Bethesda here. This is an awesome technical achievement they've pulled off, to create a game as complex as Skyrim AND make it extensible. I'm a software engineer and unless you are, it's hard to appreciate the scope of what they've done. They could make things more stable by making the whole system completely closed, and they haven't done that. Hurrah for them, I say. KrittaKitty, I second the comments above... the cheetah is fabulous and I'm sure the tiger will be too. I spent a bunch of time working on a PC-only tiger, but I'm sure yours will blow mine out of the water.
Porsche_Dog Posted February 2, 2015 Author Posted February 2, 2015 UPDATE! And maybe a cry for HAAAALP! So this is where I'm at. For anyone familiar with Blender's shapekey/morphing functionality, PM me here STAT! I need to know if stages can be implemented to make this thing move freely rather than pivoting (refer to the prior Update's video to see what I mean). I'll go further into detail with those who PM me on the matter. For now, I'm slaving over this thing as not to screw up the vert's locations toooo much considering Kitty has already textured the thing... I'm beginning to think I've insisted on a back-ass-ward procedure but hey, it's a learning experience for me! So I lack animation skill and knowledge and a 2yr old could outdo in his sleep, big whoop; wanna fight about it?! Sorry for just one picture but I'm kinda 'in the zone' and didn't want to loose focus over some cruddy glamour shots of an unknown wolfguy's wingydingy! But... notice the foliage?! And dat skin roll! It may only get better from here folks! PS; The two left panels are orthographic view. Only the right panel is perspective view
Doggyknot Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Looking good! I think the knot is the perfect size, but I might be a bit biased.
Gluumba Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 It being smaller wouldn't look bad and if it were any bigger it would be too much, but i think it's fine as is atm. as far as i can see at least Keep it up, love the work
ThatDamnLemur Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Holy fuck, yes. <3 That knot is beautiful, as is the rest of it. Bouncing eagerly in my seat as iI wait for this to progress~!
Porsche_Dog Posted February 3, 2015 Author Posted February 3, 2015 Looking good! I think the knot is the perfect size, but I might be a bit biased. Perfect size but not perfect shape. My resources are VERY limited in what I could find but based on literature and photos (as well as a friend who has had the 'pleasure' (if you can call it that) of working at a wolf sanctuary and having dissected a few deceased wolves) I managed to dig out of the world wide webz, the bulbas size is actually proportionate to the size of the host especially given this race is... well, wolves. From what I've gathered, and am now fairly adamant with, wolves being the larger of the Canidae family have some larger features than your typical domesticated canine. Timber Wolves are the largest of the canis lupines with Eurasian Wolves (IIRC) right behind them. Kritta's race of Lykaios is based on Canus Lupus Arcticus whom aren't so small ither. The shape, however, is still abit off but let's write that off as the grey area that plagues all males. IoW, no one has the perfect wingydingy. There will always be something that makes you unique be it a slight curve in ither direction, small/large scrotum, one large and or low/high testicle, 'pyramid' shaft, warhead attached to pencil shaft, etc etc. Besides, the purpose of this recent update post wasn't to showoff the penis itself, that was established for being that it was fine some pages ago (your input being a big part of that if memory hasn't failed me yet). The focus of this post is to show the progress of making this thing morph and interact with the sheath. As I said, the left two panels are orthographic views while the right view is the only perspective view (probably from a not-so-great angle). The views may be exaggerating the crap out of sizes here since the body I used as a reference isn't present in this build anymore (which I may change in the future). So; the short reply to your post - If you're bias toward the large factor, you've got taste for 'factitious anatomical correct form' or 'FACF' as I like to call it
GlitchyComic Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 I wish I could help, but I potato at modding. As for the size of the knot, it looks a bit big to me, but without being attached to a body or seeing the whole shaft for reference, the point seems moot. Just my opinion.
Doggyknot Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Lol, I get what you're saying. Now that I've had a chance to look at on my PC, I see what you're talking about with the way that the sheath retracts and gets pushed back. I think that you got that down really well! I did mention before about how the knot and shaft doest just stick out of the end of the sheath, so if that helped I'm glad. That must have been an interesting conversation with your friend.
