So is SODRL now known as SOI (Sexout Intimacy?)

Sorry, been away a few days, out of the loop.

@ Bruce

Loving the new NPCs mate!

@ T

T, you had an AWOP compatibility patch in the previous version? Am I okay to use the old one or is there a new one available?

The project actually began as intimacy.   I'll put up an aka at some point.  Both names fit imo.

No all of the old files are scrapped.  This one should work fine with AWOP NPCs, but you have to add them yourself.  Just turn on the manager and the [sOI Settings] should show up in their regular dialog (might need smaller talk to get to it on some).  On that note I should mention that you can enable the manager BEFORE you start the mod.  This allows you to run around and add all your NPCs before the mod processes a single NPC.

Yes; thanks; and no, you don't need that anymore. :P

Okay, cool, thanks!

Also, I noticed when playing I had both SOI and SODRL controls available in items. Not sure if this is because I had the SORDLR-Awop patch running or not, but besides that, I had no other SODRL files other than the SOI ones in the OP.

Hello, T, I've been playing around with your mod for some time and it's been pretty fun, great, actually :) Unfortunately, I don't have time for through investigations right now, and you release new versions way faster than I can check them out, so any of my bug reports will be pretty outdated anyway. But there was one major bug a couple of days ago which may be fixed already by now, but just to be safe: I've been playing around with NPCs from Bruce's addon and had some of them in activity states ([Hang Out], [Walk] and [Party], maybe [Eat]). Then at some point I moved between houses and used a bed (i.e. slept) and the NPCs got stuck in their activity states (returning [Activity Dialog] on each interaction). Using [Cancel] resulted in different reactions but didn't end activities.

And if you're open to suggestions: how about special handling for the followers? Since there are variables for Trust, Respect, etc., they could probably be altered by the PC's interaction with them as a companion, for example, whether he tends to join or skip fights, to treat their injuries, to share ammo, maybe to have a sort of a 'debriefing' after, and so on.

My knowledge of GECK/NVSE scripting is sketchy at best, so just an idea, I'm not sure if these things are easily scriptable or scriptable at all.

Also, what does the "PCDisposition" variable mean? It always tends to go to large negative values (like -2000+) for some reason )

Posted

@nkAlex  Those are good ideas for companions; however, companions are all created differently, so I think that it would be difficult to implement.  Some have magical ammo that always replenishes.  Some auto-stim.  Some are magically back to 100% after fights.

Posted

nyaalich, well, they can still be grateful for extra ammo and Stimpacks anyway :D

That was more an example than an actual request, I just think it makes sense that the followers' relationships with the player should be largely defined by their shared everyday Wasteland activities :)

T, has the relationship between assigning the hotkey and any delay changed?  It seems I'm having to hold the hotkey longer or it's delayed.  It gives the NPC too much time to walk (or in my case get pushed) out of range.

Also, I can no longer 'Encourage' when they are 'Flirtatious'.  It's always a negative response that that's not good! LOL

EDIT:  T, the seek privacy is really weird now.  I have walked god knows how far away from the group and went behind the large equipment in the Quarry in Sloan and all I get from him is Seek Privacy.  Also the walks they take now are half way across the Mojave but they don't end with anything not even 'small talk'.  I'm also getting way less 'Activity Complete' than I used to so when I click on an NPC, it's still in the activity even though I 'Cancelled' it.

The hotkey probably runs 100 times over if you just tap it.  Holding it longer doesn't make anything happen any faster (it only registers on press, not on hold).  In fact, every time you touch it, there will be a 3 second delay where it will not work again until those 3 seconds are up.  So repeatedly pushing it does nothing.  I've increased the response time in the new copy.

It's probably fixed now, but this demonstrates the reason you should not rush in this mod.  If you do, it WILL NOT perform correctly.  Case in point, if you're rifling through dialog at several clicks per second, you won't get ANY of the adjustments that the dialog is handing out.

There are no negative response infos in Encourage.  Only a neutral.  This can, but doesn't necessarily mean that they are being smothered (have had enough attention for one day and/or are bored with your constant advances).

Tested seek privacy.  Working as expected.

- Easy Pete says Seek privacy

- We go to the saloon john.

- I hotkey him again.

- Easy Pete returns 'Seek Privacy'

- Wait 1 second.

- Hotkey him again.

- Easy Pete returns 'Grope'

If this doesn't work for you, perhaps you're not as alone as you think you are.  I've added some debug to the scanner so you can see the current population count.

Still looking into activities.

With regard to activities I've run into a couple of activities which never end.  It's happened both with Trudy and Francine Garrett.  We will be in an activity, they will say "continue activity?", I say yes, and then Trudy leaves the Prospector and goes home to bed, Francine goes upstairs to bed.  I go to bed too and the next day talk to them and we are still in an activity.  This will continue all day, and they never end it.  I can even go off for a few days killing Radscorpions and come back and we are still in an activity (I thought walking out on them would end an activity but in these cases it doesn't).  The Vanilla go home and go to bed package seems to be so compelling that it prevents them from processing the quit activity command.  Maybe there could be some kind of timeout command for activites if they go on for more than say 48 hours without some endpoint being reached?

I've disabled the pop count debug again, since it's way too verbose and drowning out every other debug. Would it be possible to have it only print out a number if lastPopCount != currentPopCount?

Just turn off scan debug in mod settings?

T, looks like you only tested this indoors.  Before this latest version, I was able to seek privacy away from the group and it worked fine outside.  I'm just saying Seek Privacy out in the open (yet away from the group behind something) that used to work for me is no longer working.  I don't play indoors that much.  I move from the DC wasteland to the Mojave wasteland.  If you need me to do any commands for you or something when this happens again, let me know what you need but there is something amiss with Seek Privacy outside.  I can go back to your original mod and play that one and Seek Privacy even works outside for that mod.  Something has changed it from working.

*I see you have a new version up.  I'll do a clean install and check out the seek privacy specifically.  I'll let you know if there are any changes.*

Please understand, I know how to 'play' your mod.  I don't even click on replies, I'll just let them roll but because I do play it so much, (you have no idea how many hours a day I put in testing it- Wayyy too many!) if I notice something amiss, I'll let  you know.  I haven't said too much lately because you've been doing a fantastic job but I'm all over your mod, believe me.  Now I'm going to go play your newest version and see what I can see.

OK I've reverted the increase in hotkey response.  It wasn't working properly the other way.  So just tap it and wait 1 second.  It will respond faster when there are no other NPCs processing.  If there are other NPCs processing when you hotkey, it may take half a second to return.

I've added a bunch of stuff to activities.  Fixed some dialogs (cancel).  You should now get warning messages when you leave an activity.  Ignoring these messages will result in the abandonment of the activity.  We'll see how this goes.

@Lady: Turn on scan debug when you're at your private spot.  If the population count is higher than 1, someone else either sees you, or is detecting you.  If it reads 1 and you still can't get privacy, then let me know.

OK I'll do that!  When I did the clean install I had to restart your mod so it will be awhile before any of them are at that level again.  btw, it's always Scrambler.  He is the best one to use for testing because he advances to lover so quickly.  I can't play without him!  I'll go ahead and clean install with this newest version since I'm not very far along.  Good thing I checked back when I did!

Question:  I tried the new update 20150717.05b (upgraded in place, didn't do a clean save).   I partied with Cass, she asked :Continue? and we ate.  She then gave me the activity complete dialog.  I went to bed and in the morning I got : you have 30 seconds to continue activity with Cass.  When I let the timer run out it "ends" the already ended activity.  Will we get a negative reaction from our friend if the timer ends an activity which was already ended? Or will we only get a negative reaction if we end an activity which is actually in progress?

I had the same thing happen to me after an [activity completed]. (I love that we have notifications though)

Try the new one.  Should work properly now.

EDIT:  Added an activity complete message to the abandon timer in 07.

I'm not sure if it is necessary for your game.  But just a note.  I have yet to clean save (not even once), and have had zero problems related to saves.

lol lightening strike killed my last post.  Let's try this again.

New one up.  I've added some debug to the scanner.  Now you should be able to see the NPCs who are detecting the PC, along with the population count when scan debug is turned on.

This is just a test though, because I don't know how much load this will put on the scanner.  It may get choppy.  We'll see how it goes.

EDIT: Fixed dates in .10 hopefully.

T, I am using this version:  SexoutIntimacy-v20150717.05B and the pop count is working.  I do keep the debug on so I noticed it right away.  I'll update now. :)

Well let's hope that's it for a minute.  Went through 11 copies today.  I'll probably move on to gifting this weekend, barring any other problems.

Added a reminder to the conterm.  You can thank Bruce for suggesting it.  Right now it only reminds you of dates.  Later it may do other things.

New copy up.  Gifting is now framed.  It's incomplete, but it should work.  This includes a gift registry.  If no modders register gifts, the system falls back on a list.  Currently, that list is full of junk items just as a test.  So don't be surprised when an NPC wants 'surgical tweezers' as a gift.

Gifts will be a WIP, and it may take some time to sort out what should, and should not, be in the list.

There is still some kind of never ending activity bug in the actual version. I got a massage, activity completed, but still have the activity dialog. Maybe it has something to do with SOIQueue delay ?

An other bug that is maybe related to your mod - I had a invisible NPC glitch after a sex scene. That happend so far only once, and occured when the activity complete message came during the make out.

There are probably still some timing issues to work out.  ie. Starting a sex/make out follow near the end of an activity.

I've removed the activity complete message for the next copy because it is misleading.  The activity does not technically end until you get the end activity dialog.  Until the end dialog happens, you will still get activity dialog.  The complete message only refers to the end of the 'abandon' timer, not the activity.

Until I post the next copy, please ignore the activity complete message.  It does NOT signify the end of the activity.

EDIT: Changed message to more appropriately read 'activity nearly over'.

I think it was good way to know when the activity is supposed to end. Speaking to the NPC after the message always gave me the [Activity completed] or [Continue Activities] topics. Maybe just change what it says, instead of removing the message altogether? "NPC X had enough, talk to complete activities" or something to that effect. (maybe something more immersive)

Edit: lol, I should refresh pages every once in a while.
