Charon invited me to lunch and then gave me an imitation strange meat pie.  I'm not sure what this says about either of us.

 

While testing out my plugin, I've exhausted all the custom NPCs to the point where they started to get aggravated.

 

Went to have drinks with Easy Pete until they calm down again.

 

He gave me a bottle of breast milk and forced me to drink it.

 

Then he casted [Grope:Firm] and wanted to make out.

@LadyM: It's awesome that you can do that. I'm going to check what's different between them, see what I can do and maybe you can take the others as well. Lloyd sleeps at the gas station at night and wanders near the fireplace, where Sunny teaches you about healing powder, during the day. In the evenings he'll be back at the saloon. I think he hangs out outside for a while before he goes in.

Just a peek at who I'll be playing today while testing your profiles [bruce], and the newest (of many :D) sexintimacy versions!  I keep trying to get the GECK to play nice with MO but had to give up on that for awhile.  I feel it's more important to run through these updates and keep testing the mod but there will come a day I can set up Lt Hayes and Scrambler exactly the way I want them- Hopeless and Horny.

EDIT:  We're on the move now.  I just wanted to mention that in testing Bruce's profiles I am not using JIP.  I'm controlling this group with the Remote Control Companions.

Any additional shots of this group I take I'll put in the screenshot thread.  I can't wait to see these guys in combat!  I've already seen them in action. :P

 

Big EDIT:  On both T and Bruce's profile I'm getting a slew of rumors and I love some of them but all I can do is apologize.  I need to be able to confirm some of them or deny them, not apologize.  Just an observation.  ;)  When I apologize it kills the moment and I ALWAYS get a negative response.  Biggest example was with Lt Hayes (he's set on the Hopeless Romantic profile) and his rumor was:  submissive in bed, my reply should be confirm because I'm using the sexout perk of submissive, masochistic, insatiable and nympho.  So any rumors pertaining to those subjects it would be nice to confirm instead of apologize.  :)

Is Hayes also flashing?  Hayes is not shown in the images.  From the debug, he shouldn't be flashing.  NPCs will only flash when their cycle is below 1.  So I would guess something cleared out their cycles.

 

I would have to see the debug for the NPCs depicted, which doesn't seem to be present in your ss.

Yes, Hayes went flashing also after I posted those pics.  I closed out of the game for now and will restart and see if they are still doing it.  I was eating lunch with him when it started.  When the activity was complete, he started to flash.

Just a note:  The profiler does absolutely nothing except add the NPC unless you edit it.

Ok T, I'll disregard it.  In a couple hours, I'll be starting a different save from a different game and see if it happens with that.

Yeah I don't know what happened.  The debug wasn't helping much because the dialog registry debug kept getting in the way.  I've disabled it in this new one to clear up the console better.

 

If their cycles are above 0 in debug, I don't see how it could possibly be this mod making them red.  ie. if (1 > iCycles) doesn't leave much room.

 

From the debug I saw Harrys cycles were 16 or so.  So yep,  not a clue.

I was in the Old Mormon Fort and I could swear I saw Beatrix groping Julie Farkas!  Maybe it was just an accident of an idle animation happening when they were too close to each other, but I prefer to think that it explains why Julie isn't really warming up to me (it's hard to compete with a Dom Cowboy Ghoul Girl).

T, I'm still with you, always using the newest updates  you post.  Yesterday I did play the old mod to get a feel of the difference and I'd like to ask you, how far along in your overhaul of the old mod are you?  If you're still in the early stages, I'll withhold my observations for a little longer to see what changes with each new update.  Honestly I don't care how long this will take, I'm with you through this overhaul.

 

One thing I am testing is the compatibility with Sexout Hookups.  I think there might be a conflict with the Hookup mod overriding your mod.  If you can check that out, that would be awesome!  I even turned it off yesterday while replaying your SODRTL mod.  It might be just a coincidence or interference, I'm not sure but today I have it turned off to really test out your newest updates.

It's early, but we're getting closer.  As soon as I get all the dialog in place so there are no zoom faces I'll be ready to start a changelog and start play testing.

 

The banned cells and not now settings are in now, so if another mod sets them this mod will disable itself.  Not sure about hookups because I don't know the problem you're having.  Eventually I'll put the sex hooks from the alpha back in.

 I don't know how mod organizer relates to the geck.  I've never used mod organizer, ever.

Open Geck, click yellow folder button upper left, scroll to the profiler esp, highlight it, click active, click OK, it should open the profiler.

 

Find and click on 'quests' in the left column, type 'soi' into the filter search box upper left, you should then see the profiler quest.  Double click it, when it opens click on the script button '...', should open the script, then read the notes.

 

Replace DocMitchellREF with the ref of your NPC, read the notes, uncomment and set what you want, click the save button upper left, and you're done.  Might want to rename the esp file so you know which NPC it is (just navigate to the file in explorer and rename it).

 

Then just load it up in game.  If you're using the dialog method, find your NPC and select one of the profiles you've set up through normal dialog 'NOT hotkey dialog'.  If you're using the explicit method the NPC should already be set and ready to begin.

 

EDIT: New one up.  Did some tuning on the hotkey.  Let me know if you still get double talkies?

 

Also @Bruce: I'm not sure about the distance thing.  I put a distance check in that will report with a message to move closer if you're too far away.  But, what's strange is I couldn't get it to go off even when I tried.  In other words, the distance at which I lost my reticle for regular dialog, is still within the distance needed to initiate a hotkey conversation.  So I'm stumped ftm.  Or I've just misunderstood.

 

EDIT EDIT: Fixed the follow I broke.  Tweaked the behavior script.  Added dom/sub/party/patron settings to the profiler.  Re-upped.

 

 

Well ok, I am attempting to bite the bullet and setup a custom profile. I have installed GECK and actually managed to get it to work (GO ME!).

I made a copy of the profile esp and started editing following the above description. But... GECK won't save the edited profile? I am currently not using MO for my install, so I am not using GECK through that. Do I have to somehow make GECK start with NVSE as well? if so, How do I do that?

 

Other question: when you say "uncomment", do you mean removing the semicolon from before the NPC Ref? And if so, do I remove ALL the semicolons for the REFs in the profiler quest?

As you can probably tell, I am a complete novice to using GECK. The notes you made in the quest were helpful, but, alas, for me not clear enough to know if I was doing the right thing or not. Perhaps, if/when you have time, you could make the notes completely idiot proof for people like me?

 

I know you are still reworking the mod, but I am too curious to see what it does now to wait until you are finished :)

The profiler quest script is basically just a collection of the things you can do in your own scripts. It isn't really meant to be copy/pasted in its entirety and things will magically work.

 

If you want to see how to set up NPCs with dialogue, you can check out my plugin from a few pages back. The setup happens in dialog result scripts. All you need in your quest script is the reserved line. (i.e. delete everything but the if loop and the line where it sets your NPC to be reserved).

 

The quest is SOIRInitDialog. Since I've been only reserving custom NPCs, I handled them a little differently, but the principle is the same.

 

Edit: I'm a bit pressed for time right now, but I can post a little more detailed instructions later on.

Curious:  Is arguing working?  Ceding only gets me a negative reaction.  I've had arguments about dates, but then I also got an angry argument out of what seemed like nowhere (that said, I may have loaded into a save mid-activity).  Don't know if [info] would have given any info on why, but all I've gotten from talking have been positive responses.  Using the romantic profile (from yours), and the only thing I can think of is talking, although keeping it to small talk with other people.  Maybe it was an arbitrary thing, like he stubbed his toe and therefore, fuck the world.

 

Just curious as to what might be going on (or not going on) mechanically.  Seems like the variables go to crazy negative numbers after I install a new version sometimes.  Maybe it's connected, maybe not.  I don't have a log for you, and I haven't been watching the variables religiously.

 

I did start an activity outside, but then Nevada Skies started a radiation storm, so I went inside Mick and Ralph's.  The activity continued.  Maybe he considered that a walking away still?

With [Rape] I tested with a character with STRENGTH and AGILITY at 1 yet I continue to overpower/dodge the rapist with [Too Strong] or [Too Fast] responses when [Resisting].

Just a reminder.  This version is not playable yet.  Almost none of the dialog does anything at all, because there is no math behind it.  ie. Settings and stats are not being adjusted via dialog, or if they are, they do so incorrectly.

 

When I start a changelog, then you'll know it's ready to test.  Until then I can promise you that the mod will not work correctly (especially dialog).  It's a certainty.

 

EDIT: I have two dialog topics to fill in yet.  Once those are done I will begin going through dialog and setting things right.  So barring any side tracks, dialog should begin to take shape in the next few copies.

 

Also the template needs work and a new copy is on the way.  Everything to do with NPCs should be fine in there already.  But I think I've found an easier way to implement the 'no master' dialog tracker (set one setting instead of copy this and that).  More to come.

So perhaps what I was trying to do just isn't working either because I was just trying to copy and paste the profile sheet also.  I look forward to some more instruction on how to do this! :D
