LadyM Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 If it was one of mine, there is a good chance that it'll be missing (or rather have the wrong responses). Just noticed that a couple of topics are broken, because the topics are based on an earlier version of SOI and I didn't notice that the responses for a bunch of topics have changed (for example, atm you can't agree to do any activities with them, if they approach you). Will be fixed asap. Nope, not yours, Bruce. So far your guys have been doing fine except that whole loss of Goodsprings I experienced a few posts back. Right now I'm concentrating on keeping both my guys as lovers. One is the sex starved pervert the other is the hopeless romantic and doing some quests in Freeside before I head over to D.C. I'll make sure to swing back by Goodsprings and see if I can still interact with them before I do leave the Mojave. Come to think of it, I haven't even done Joe Cobb yet and I've already killed Benny. LOL
BruceWayne Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Lol, you are quick, I edited my post. Here it is again: If the topics are [Opinions], you don't need to confess, because they already have that opinion of you. You can only confess if they approach you with a [Rumor].

MRM18870 Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Some NPC seem to never "finish cooking", processing ends with fnSOIQueue:RunSneakAbort! no matter if i am alone with that npc or not. Next time i see the very same npc again it ends processing ends with the same line. However some others have the same line and continue processing.

Next time i see the very same npc again it ends processing ends with the same line. However some others have the same line and continue processing. It means the PC is either running or sneaking and therefore aborts processing. This may need some tweaking though as I've had things like armors with stealth capabilities and stealthboy effects that get stuck and take longer than they should to dispel. I've also seen the same problem with combat sometimes. ie. You're fresh out of combat, no enemies are around, and yet the game still returns that you are in combat and thereby aborts processing. Do you have a sprint mod installed maybe? I don't use one but I've heard it can do this too. ie. Return running positive even though you're walking.
MRM18870 Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 No, I don't have a sprint mod and two of those affected NPCs are Sunny Smiles and Meyers, both not very activ most of the time when I see them. But I have "new vegas - reanimated" and " for a few poses more NV edition" - do you think they could make problems?

But I have "new vegas - reanimated" and " for a few poses more NV edition" - do you think they could make problems? What you're describing isn't NPC related. It's based entirely on the PC. Which means, when the PC is running/sneaking, ALL NPCs will be affected. So if you have NPCs that pass through and other NPCs that get the run abort, there must be something in your game that has switched from running to not running or sneaking to not sneaking in between the interaction with those NPCs. I don't use any poses, but I have seen the occasional glitch when armors or clothing have their own pose animations associated with them. Not in this mod, but others. So I'm not sure. I may try out 'reanimated' though, just because it sounds interesting.
MRM18870 Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 I switched of both, but no change. If it is a problem with the PC I have no idea, I even tried to stand or sit in front of them for a while without doing anything and it did not help. Besides, other NPCs in the same room ( if there are any ) seem to process further.

Well gang members won't care if you're running (because they'll run after you), and if they detect you, they won't care if you're sneaking either. So they may pass through fine. Other than that it's pretty straightforward. The game (not this mod) has decided that the PC is either running or sneaking. We just have to figure out why. EDIT: OK try the new one. It should tell you in debug if you're running or sneaking. At least we can narrow it down to one or the other. Edited August 1, 2015 by t3589

Means that you have to press shift (or whatever button you mapped "walk" to) in order to walk?! If you stand and autorun is enabled, the system still thinks you are running. That threw me off in the alpha, until I enabled debug. I now switched to always walk and pressing shift in order to run.

When I'm playing the vanilla game, I autorun. When I'm ready for interaction I do what you said.
BruceWayne Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Well, I'm used to it this way now. I play with PN and harsh sneak settings, so I have to walk while sneaking most of the time anyway.

See I'm out of touch. What's PN? I may already know but have become unfamiliar with the term due to forgetfulness. Also harsh sneak sounds neat I'm going to try that. I can't keep up.

t3589 Posted August 2, 2015 Author Posted August 2, 2015 New copy up. Tweaked respect/trust gains/losses. Also added territorial infractions (untested). The pay off fine is currently set to 100 caps. Or the PC can sex them up and work the territory on a temporary pass. The settings for an NCR license are in, but there is no license to be gotten just yet, fyi.
Sagebrush61 Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Does the mod account for dead lovers? The reason I ask is that I noticed new people I meet have a Negative Trust value and one person approached the Courier and said [Rumor: unfaithful]. Her only lover was long dead, having partied one to many times and then getting into a gunfight with the people of Goodsprings. It's kind of hard to break up with someone who is already dead, seems like shooting them should amount to a [breakup: positive] status.

As such, they often have no basis in fact. In other news I found a big bug. The current copy will have broken approaches for some NPCs until I can get this new copy out. Stay tuned.
t3589 Posted August 2, 2015 Author Posted August 2, 2015 (edited) Alright new copy up. Fixed the approach bug, but it may have broken other things. Also, this copy won't work with the latest SexoutNG beta (broken scanner). Working on that now. EDIT: Rolled my own scanner. Now works with the latest NG beta. Edited August 2, 2015 by t3589
KRSG Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 What is "Seek Location" upon after playing the Makeout Mini-Game?
t3589 Posted August 3, 2015 Author Posted August 3, 2015 What is "Seek Location" upon after playing the Makeout Mini-Game? Means you're either making out in public or they're not in a position to initiate sex. ie. Sitting.
KRSG Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Okay. Thanks. What are the main differences between "Hopeless Romantic" and "Sex Starved Pervert"? Are there certain actions that are more rewarding than the other? And what function is [say Something] supposed to have? If you've answered all thus before, I apologize for being blind.

If you're using the template for those profiles, know that the template does nothing and is long broken. When I stop making changes I'll fix it up. [say Something] sounds like it may be an SOIR dialog choice. The reason there is no documentation is because I'm in the middle of re-building it from the ground up. We're slowly getting there, but this mod is not 'officially' ready for play testing yet. When that happens (we're pretty close), I'll update all the documentation.
