xarathos Posted May 2, 2015 Author Posted May 2, 2015 Oof, I had that problem with the gloves the first time, too. I might have to rework the mesh or something to get them animating properly — I'll see what I can do in the next update or so.
VaunWolfe Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Forgive me for asking but is there any plan in the future to continue the rest of the vanilla armor conversions?
xarathos Posted May 4, 2015 Author Posted May 4, 2015 There is a plan to continue them, yes. It's all a bit haphazard, I know; I'm basically doing them in the order my interest level latches onto things, or when I run into something that looks particularly out of place in my own game.
xarathos Posted May 4, 2015 Author Posted May 4, 2015 Okay so good news/bad news I guess The good news is I think I fixed the weird 'finger breakage' issue with poses/etc on the gloves, as well as the scaling problem. And a few extra shots: Turns out the problem was with weight painting, again (my mortal enemy...). Weight assignments from neighboring fingers were bleeding into each other, hence pieces of finger being pulled in weird directions. So I went in in 3DS Max and manually erased the extra weights from anywhere they didn't belong, and boom, no more weird distortions. At least not those ones. The bad news is I think in the process of doing so I introduced a few new minor clipping issues, so I'm gonna have to iron those out as well. EDIT: resolved aforementioned clipping issues, and managed to fix another minor problem - neck gap. Swapped out the body mesh 3DS exported for the latest one generated by UUNP/bodyslide and everything worked fine. I'm debating whether to upload the current fixes as is or wait until I've added the goggles back to the mask.
xarathos Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 dont rush perfection sir lol ^ This right here is 100% of my philosophy xD Speaking of which: I think I miiiight just about have attained it. You have to look closely but the visor does have a very subtle transparency - if you zoom in close enough you can see your character blinking~ I should be ready to upload before the end of the day. I wanna do a version with the visor up too, the way Catwoman frequently wears hers in cutscenes and the like. EDIT: Raised visor finished. Check these out: Added it as a separate item for now, craftable using the same set of ingredients as the lowered/default one... which should work fine at least until I figure out how I'm gonna balance them all in the game. They're leather at the moment but I'm currently thinking of making them require membership in the Thieves Guild and possibly moving them up a material tier or so. With the changes I've made to the ESP they should show up in the faction section of the crafting menu... and now I'm gonna start packing 'em up to upload.
wonderwhatsnext Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 You have some really good conversions, and really nice looking characters
xarathos Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 Why thank you~My goal at the outset is to make the best version possible of whatever I'm doing. Whether I actually manage that, well, I leave that to the users. As for Kate and Anna, well, like everything else they're a labor of love. I'm glad you like them. ^^
xarathos Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 Operation quality control continues~ Revisiting my sole I Love Cleavage convert to bring it in line with the new standard. And uhh... I ... uhhh ... what was I talking about? Oh right. Yeah. So there's a couple of issues with the weight painting I still wanna tweak to iron out oddities, and I need to do the boots and gloves properly also. But meanwhile, enjoy the tease, and ohgodthoseenvironmentslooksomuchbetterhotdamn
xarathos Posted May 8, 2015 Author Posted May 8, 2015 Finished the gloves. Boots seem to work fine as is, so didn't make any changes to those yet. If I notice anything weird I'll replace 'em later. Uploading... And uploaded. BTW just as a reminder, this replaces the Bandit 3 armor which should show up as ... I think "sleeveless fur"? Yeah.
iggypop1 Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Hi thank you for your mods enjoy very much. I am using Bombshell but the armors works well...only thing i have is with the catsuit the version before you upgraded. I have some clipping with the breasts using the "sexy idle" there is some clipping when hands touching breasts.....?! Thanks again very nice
xarathos Posted May 8, 2015 Author Posted May 8, 2015 The 'best' solution to clipping with the sexy idles is using HDT collision of some kind, but you're still going to get at least some clipping with that no matter what we do (at least until somebody finds a way to make soft body collision universal in the skyrim engine)… so there's not much I can do there, I'm afraid. Not yet, anyway. I'm glad you're otherwise liking the armors, though
xarathos Posted May 8, 2015 Author Posted May 8, 2015 Threw this mashup together over the course of an hour or so this morning from pieces laying around - an old 7B cleavage 'barbarian' armor + the ILC fur/leather vest from yesterday for a top. Haven't tested it in the game yet not sure how I'd package or release or ... idk. I might end up using it as a barbarian replacer in my immersive armors build, maybe after remaking the skirt again from the vanilla iron mesh. We'll see.
xarathos Posted May 8, 2015 Author Posted May 8, 2015 Taking a break from redoing old stuff to do something new:
xarathos Posted May 9, 2015 Author Posted May 9, 2015 OOOOOOOOOOOOOOKkay, SO. Nyotengu Catsuit Converted from the original upload here. Added weightslider support, split the suits into catsuit and boots as separate items, rather than 'catsuit with boots' and 'catsuit without boots', and packed everything into a BSA. Upload complete!

dadadacool Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Thank you soooooo much Xarathos for your awesome work ! TESV.exe_DX9_20150509_095608 by Thani Derstal, sur FlickrTESV.exe_DX9_20150509_100138 by Thani Derstal, sur FlickrTESV.exe_DX9_20150509_102259 by Thani Derstal, sur Flickr
siframe Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Quality screenies there Dadadacool! First post too, I applaud you. Love the attention to detail in adding wings hahaha, pure class. As for you Xarathos, that looks like another awesome job, thank you again. You're an internet hero. ...Oh now I look again I see you put some wings in too Xarathos, nice job to you on that too! I see also your screenshots have a lovely shiny new look to them too now you put the new gpu beast in your rig, bet you're a happy bunny. I still can't believe you worked all this magic for us on such an old card up til now to be honest, fair play to you sir.
xarathos Posted May 10, 2015 Author Posted May 10, 2015 Unf, love those wings. Mental note to track those down and get them into my load order as I rebuild... Are those the animated ones? Either way, Dadadacool, thank you for the screens! And oof, that face. Very nice, love the warpaint. And the expression. Yeah, the wings in my shot are actually part of the set — I didn't make any changes to those meshes but I figured I oughta show them at least once. And yesssssss the new card is so much better… it's got me wanting to actually PLAY skyrim again, which is a freakin miracle, so as I've been doing converts and stuff I've been slowly assembling my load order, fine tuning and testing lighting and enb settings, all that stuff. I'm gonna play with PerMa but I want to see how much further I can push a few things now, like, hopefully I can actually use more of the LL type mods this time around without murdering my framerate even further. And meanwhile, conversions to make and old projects to update and all that. Very pleased.
imacarl Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 I'm actually quite thankful I didn't go through converting the nyotengu suit. on the back of my head, i was going to hope someone was going to do it.
