Well, my question was answered before I even got to ask it...  Some days good things happen..   I am surprised though that other modders haven't really taken up the option to use your cage placement as part of their mod.   Ah well, one day we may hear a cacophony of clanging doors as people get caged for all sorts of reasons.

 

Not being a modder and lacking the knowledge, skill and patience required I can only assume creating a cage scene is quite complicated. A lot of work for a small benefit maybe.  I do still love the cages everywhere and use this mod even when SD is not in my mod list. It adds great atmosphere  around the world. Thank you.

Sorry to necro this but I'm in some kind of Dilemma

I only own both Skyrim LE WITHOUT DLCs and Skyrim AE(also SE) with all DLCs included.

Any way I can play this mod?

 

It sounds, to be quite frank, really immersive and enjoyable. I'd truly appreciate being able to try out this mod for myself.

Skyrim LE = Skyrim Legendary Edition which comes with all DLCs.

So, you probably meant Skyrim (Oldrim) which does not have any DLCs which this mod does not support.

 

This mod should work with Skyrim AE. However, if you have Forgotten Dungeons installed you'll need this AE patch,

SD Cages - Forgotten Dungeons SSE Patch.7z

instead of the one that comes with SDc.

I recently found out that I should keep my mods on SE, not AE. Does it also for for SE aka SSE?

I had really tough fight in Fort Neugrad. There was a whole army of bandits inside the main hall. Most of them were badasses from this mod. Are they supposed to be here? I've turned off all badasses in MCM, but for some reason they spawned in Fort Neugrad anyway.

I find it almost impossible to free them and dress them via conversation and am stuck with using EFF to make them follow you to an inn but still cannot dress them as immediately I open the EFF wheel the enslavement window takes over.  IMHO. it is pretty woeful to enslave a bandit captive anyway. To free them I simply initiate SLEN sex (without a rape and quick save before I try). I am currently taking one to an inn now to see if I can actually help her after previously leaving dozens still hanging. Several times the captive , once freed, said to me: "you are not supposed to be here" while nothing other than follower recruitment or enslavement makes them leave...? Stockholm syndrome( which IMHO is garbage as such an effect  is a multi millennia proven survival effect of submission on   human captives).

 

Once in the inn I tried to dismiss her but that "deleted" enslavement window took over and no matter what I tried, without console use, I could not clothe or dismiss her. So, I enslaved her, clothed her then freed her to the usual abuse, including "you should leave", then recruited her again as a follower and made the inn  her new home then dismissed her. Interesting point was that despite recruiting her and thus making her ally (SLEN 3) she remained at -ve SLEN. It is far easier just to let them rot which IMHO sucks totally.

 

Update...I rescued a "meat" from a vampire den and after the abuse my char received from her when I finally took her to an inn and freed her I won't bother anymore. This IMHO damages the mod's value severely in general gameplay: the captives should be salvageable or absent(yes, I know she was not a "captive" but the same rules applied)

For whatever reason, the lastest version of this mod doesn't get detected in MCM for me.  Rolling back to 3.128 fixes it.  Any ideas why?  On SE

Use the AE version + BEES.

Hello. Like this mod. Have only one trouble.

Cage on Windhelm bridge (nearest to city gates on right side as you are going to city) is conflicting with Pama Prison Bad End event.

And it is could not be disabled in game by console. Have to clear it inside esp on every update.

Could it be moved to neighbour place or have some hole not preventing prisoners to be thrown down from bridge?

Disable the cage door, that will disable the cage as well.

Hello. I liike this mod. 

 

 

When Cage scene, I can’t confine  player in jail at Hag Rock Redoubt.

master said there is not any cage. Why?

I am having problems with badass bandit tanks being un-killable even with console commands. I tried to set them as nonessential with console commands as well in case that was a thing somehow. At this point I am thinking the problem may be from another mod somehow but I have not had any badass NPC's as slaves or followers so I don't know how this has happened. I have downloaded the patch to remove them. It's too bad because they were fun until they became impervious. Great mod by the way, thank you!

Post your load order and/or mod list in a text file or behind a spoiler. I've been using this mod for years and not had this issue. It might be a completely incompatible mod, or something that can be tweaked between the two, or something else.
