Kimy Posted April 9, 2015 Author Posted April 9, 2015 if you played the damsel quest you would know that it spams you with a pop up to break free which is a pain if you want to look at the character from other angels with the pop up showing every so often Adjusting the camera should be much easier now that the animation is playing for several seconds between each phase. I wish there was a way to adjust this window to allow a better view on the character, but there is no way to (that i'd know of). Skyrim is a console game after all, and these inevitably have a crappy UI. if you do end up using the pervertred burgler idea can you make it so the player has to rapidly press a and d to break free so the pop up spam doesnt show up thats 1 thig that i dont like for the distress quest the constant pop ups to break free I hate quick time events with a passion. This is one thing that -really- will never happen! I think what he means is a system like the Arachnophobia mod. When they cocoon you, you have to press ae to wriggle free (it's not a QTE event, it's just literally spam ae as fast as you can untill you break free or run out of stamina or magicka and try again) Having to mash buttons fast to determine the outcome of a (more of less frozen) scene is the exact definition of a QTE. And I hate those. I am the person who asked the author of Defeat for the toggle to disable the struggle-free scene. I really, REALLY can't stand them. So I am afraid this is a feature that I can rule out to ever be in Cursed Loot.

I don't like quick time events, but I do like interactive events - I'd almost rather you had to, well, struggle to trigger a success/fail (no time limit!) than hit tab and pick an option from a dialog box, but that could just be me.

It's hard to play the DB DLC when none of the common containers and plants have any chance of finding keys.... if you don't own the dragonborn DLC and need it to add support, DM me your steam ID and I'll buy it for you. That will happen. I really think we have reached a point in Skyrim's life cycle when you can reasonably expect everyone still playing it to have all expansion packs. One of the future major Cursed Loot version will very likely make having the expansion packs a requirement and then be able to trigger cursed traps from XP assets as well. I really think you should add CL compatibility as an optional add-on so you're not excluding those people who may still not have all the DLCs. I know most people who buy the game now get the full version, but others who bought it earlier really haven't seen a DLC pack at good prices. (I've looked... in fact I wouldn't have DB yet myself if a friend hadn't gifted it to me.) I don't want to have to maintain two or even three different versions of Cursed Loot indefinitely. When the expansion pack support comes, it will be a hard requirement for the mod. There are many mods moving in this direction lately, the latest big one I am aware of is Live another Life (is there anyone NOT using this mod?). In the end, people still playing Skyrim are probably all hardcore fans and I don't know why someone who loves a game so much to still play it four years after its release wouldn't have its expansion packs by now (particularly considering that Steam regularly puts them on sale). What I -will- do is keeping the last stable Cursed Loot version not needing the expansion packs up for as long as it makes sense (e.g. it getting completely broken by other mods upgrading). That should make the transition easier. That's also why I am mentioning the upcoming change so early - it's still a couple months off at best (will probably come with the 5.0 major version).

When my character is in a yoke and a sex attack is triggered, the NPCs would gather around her, but no sex attack would happen and they'd just walk away. Under any other circumstances - being unarmed, naked or highly aroused, the scenes would play out. But when the character is in a yoke, no sex scene would happen. 2. There might be a bug with the NPC comment. I set the chance of NPC adding more restraints when you talk to them to just 10%. However, when my character was in the yoke that requires a Restraint key and an NPC willing to help to unlock, every NPC would lock something on her when I talked to them. At first I thought it was just a string of bad luck, even though it's set to 10% chance. However, every NPC that I talked to would lock something on her, one after another, until she was in every possible device. Each time a device was added on her, the key was lost. I had no choice but to use the debug to free her as I believe the chance of NPC adding a restraint on her is broken. It should not happen 100% of the time. 3. Once, my character was put in a rubber suit and lost all her keys after opening a chest. The next chest locked her in the Slave Collar. She was zapped for wearing the rubber suit with no way of removing it. Edit: it turned out that it was my invisible head gear that caused the zaps, not the rubber suit.
jwind Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Hi Kimy, I am enjoying every new version of your mod more and more. One request I have in the interest of a little logical immersion relates to the feature of finding sharp objects. It really just kind of kills the immersion factor when you are in need of a sharp object, and you happen to find bladed weapon(s) or dinner knives, BUT they don't count as a sharp object in ways that might help remove a devious item. I can understand not being able to access things in your own inventory because that would be too easy, but finding an actual skyrim object that could be classified as "sharp" should count. Maybe only have a configurable chance at successfully using the object to free yourself. I for one found the sharp object portion of the damsel in distress quest kind of confusing. Especially if the random number generator is being unkind. It makes you really start to wonder if you should go on hoping for the "invisible" sharp objects to kick in eventually, or to try to find a dagger in a logical location. Anyway, you probably understand what I mean. Thanks so much for all your hard work.

All the mods making the so-called 'hard' requirements tend to be doing so for the wrong reasons, and in the wrong way. for a mod that's heavily script-based, you shouldn't really need to do so. You can check for DLCs via papyrus, retrieve formids the same way, and get information from them, all w/o having to add the DLC as a master file. The only real reason a mod should have them as master files is if it modifies forms in them...

For #2, do you mean under Event Parameters -> Yoke Parameters? There I have Add Restraints Weight set to 5, Helpfulness set to 25%, Rape set to 50, Walk away set to 50. But the NPCs disproportionately ( as in every single time ) went for Add Restraints when I talked to them while in a yoke. For #3, I'm using the latest, v4.6, but I found out how I was getting zapped when I went back to a relevant save. Turned out the cursed chest did not remove my invisible head gear, and that's the one causing the zaps. I'll amend my post to reflect this.

Being able to configure sex attacks would be great but as you said there isn't much space. For example having a slider for the gender of the attackers (0= 100% females, 50= 50% males and females, 100= 100% males), weight of being unarmed, of being naked, etc. Also something I always wanted to see was less "intrusive" DD like plugs that don't need a belt. Where CL fit in would be with randomly cursed jewelry. Imagine you put on a golden necklace only to find out later that it's cursed with arousing dreams ! Or a ring that makes you want to undress in front of people, etc.

I have all the keys I need and then some. In the "unlock" menu there is simply an option for "none". It then states that the last key fits in the locks and the restraint slides off, only, it never does.I'm probably going to have to uninstall, save, and reinstall, unless someone knows a better way. Edit: Oh god my breasts are gone.EditEdit: Upgrading to the most recent version of devious assets, expansion, and integration fixed the problem. Shame on me for assuming I had the most recent version.

The one request I had to turn down was about basically duplicating each and every weight slider for devices, so that drop chances from sex attacks could be different from solicitation or cursed traps. THAT one I find would result in too much complexity for too little gain, so Cursed Loot will stick to one set of chance sliders. Giving the gender selection a weight will not work all that well. Mind you that the scenes don't use premade characters anymore, they use whatever NPCs are currently near the player. If your weight slider is 30% females, but there are 100% males in the area - what is the selector supposed to do? I'd think it's pretty rare that the selector could really pick the exact ratio in the slider. More often than not, it's got to work with what's available. The gender toggle's main utility is less about composition, but rather to allow people to rule out scenes they don't want to see appearing at all. Same as with the "Disallow Guard" or "Allow Humanoid Creatures" toggles. On the plus side: Beltless plugs are in the making, and so are cursed items with effects like the ones you describe here.

Morferous Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 I have a small question. Do all collars count for prostitution, if solicitation is restricted from MCM? Or, does it have to be a specific collar - like slave collar - from the mod? Before anyone sparks out and tells me to test that myself: there are plenty of collars in this game right now and my game is not currently in playing condition. I am working to fix it right now.

Some odd things I've noticed while trying to test out some DD meshes for 7B hdt body were. 1) Corsets need "free me option" two times to totally come off. 1st time removes the belt, 2nd time removes the corset. 2) Rubber boots would appear when "tie me up" was used. 2a) The boots do not come off when "free me" is used. Sex Attacks, issue's I've noticed. 1) doesn't play well with Defeat, a) attack could happen in a defeat scene. Device Comments, Does not appear to be compatible with the hilarious Naked Comments Mod. Removing said mod still required a new game start to get comments working. Swapping catsuit with Neo Corset, I believe to get that to work it'll need some esp work some of the texture is assigned in CK, not your issue but I brought that up a ways back. Some Thoughts, I thought DCL events could occur in Dragonborn DLC, not sure why a hard dependency is required, you must have something planned. Been enjoying the update thank you Kimy.

Corsets are implemented a tad differently than regular DD items. The method I am using to remove items is a tad wonky for them. I will refactor that code and make it more reliable. I have never used the Hilarious Comments mod. Isn't that one using idle comments? If yes, I can't see why the two mods wouldn't work together. What exactly is going wrong there? And yes, -some- events would trigger in the DLCs, but there are lots of assets defined in the DLCs not included in my lists, so it's hit and miss what works and what doesn't. Also I can't use DLC destinations for quests like Cursed Collar or Courier in Chains as long as there is no hard link to them.
Slorm Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Might be worth a look at the keydrop event routine, though it's probably the RNG playing up again. I've been playing at my usual 5% flat rate chance (arousal at 1) for cursed events but for a few days now I've had the keydrop event chance to 20% to get the equivalent number (roughly) of events both for cursed items and keys I did some further experimenting by putting the keydrop rate up to 50% and I started getting a lot of keys as you would expect, but when I dropped it back to 5% I kept getting keys until they were coming out my ears. I had to reload to stop the damned things. No doubt the RNG again but I thought I'd report it in case there's an issue with the key event routine as by rights (subject to the usual odd clusters and variances) one would expect to see some degree of parity between both events if set to the same percentage chance, rather than 5% and 20%

I don't see any dialogue for solicitation at all, even in an Inn. I have checked the MCM settings and as far as I can see, it should be working. Also, when having sex with non aggro NPC's based on say, nudity, the NPC carries on saying things like "yes" and "what can I do for you?" throughout the sex scene. Sorry if this have been posted previously. Is there a known issues section here that I missed?

I was in Bloated Mans Grotto, had chest explode with flashbang and a close by Spriggan was summoned (only bears around otherwise). Again got a dialogue line from sex attack from the Spriggan. As a Spriggan doesn't perform any sex acts both flashbang and sex attack came to nothing. Although a creature I assume the Spriggan was called as it's a humanoid creature (like a Falmer) however as it was extremely close so it could be the flashbang summoned nothing but the Spriggan was close enough to react to sex attack in any case. Sorry, hope that all makes sense, but in short got a sex attack dialogue from Spriggan and Spriggan "may" have been summoned by flashbang. EDIT: Just noticed that you get dialogue from flashbang as well as sex attacks so the only real issue is having a dialogue triggered by a Spriggan when it shouldn't.
volfin Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 One annoyance I've notices is during the 'sex attacks' if my followers are wearing armbinders or yokes, when they get hogtied, they 'bounce' up and down every 3 seconds due to your mod and Devious Devices fighting about which idle should be playing. (Both are trying to refresh it). It's immersion breaking to say the least. I don't know enough about DD to know if they offer a way to 'pause' their refreshing while you do yours, but if they do you should take advantage of that. And if they don't... They should. I thought this was fixed in last update? Maybe not then. I actually came to report another slight problem with sex attacks. My character ended up dealing with 3 attackers in Bannered Mare. Each of them decided to use separate tool to bound her hands. She ended up with 1 pair of gloves (not bound) 1 pair of gloves (locked) and 1 pair of chains. It is alright that she get's bound well, but that was a bit silly. The actual problem was that I had to console the open pair of gloves out of the inventory, before locked ones could be opened. Money was removed each time, but nothing happened. I take it that there is no check between attacks to see if previous attacker had already marked the target to get tied up? It would not be a big problem, but it seems that DD can sometimes get slightly confused with this. My character had less than a minute to enjoy her freedom, because Adrianna apparently didn't like having my lass around her precious tools and decided to lock those gloves again. Grr... That woman... It's definitely still happening for me with 4.6

xboronx Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Idea: Ancient cursed loot artifacts This time you might earn many septims finding ancient cursed loot artifacts. If you find a famous chastity belt or slave collar a poor queen or famous heroine from the first, second or early third age was forced to wear (or did voluntarily like Elisif in the captured dreams quest) such a relict should be valuable. It might also have been crafted finely and with gold and gems, or enchanted with long forgotten enchantments. These items you can take like normal loot and can take them to specialists for evaluating, like priests or court mages. If you are lucky and they are no fakes or newer remakes you can become rich. And here comes the part where Kimy can be evil . Examples how to get into trouble situations: -Betrayous assessor, recognizing the item is valuable but telling you to go to another assessor because he isn't sure if is the artifact. When you travel to the other assessor instead a group of mercenaries approaches you, asking to hand over the item. (like the bandits in the captured dreams delivery job). If you accept they probably only take the item, if you fight them and lose you also get robbed and tied up. -There is a special dragonborn set, used in former eras by a dragon cult subgroup. It only activates when worn by a dragonborn. Now guess who has to be the test subject to prove it's the real set -A special set where the parts all have very beneficial enchantments and seemingly no negative effects. Once you find the last piece though and equip it suddenly the set turns out to be extraordinary nasty. So the set was a camouflaged trap, maybe even made by Sheogorath himself.
majordespair Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 just thought id let you know I fixed my script lag issue (was having to open close menus to make scene progress) after some experimenting , the two mods that needed to be removed were , More nasty critters , and More devious quests. With the later I think being the biggest script hog, which is what I suspected...but didn't want to remove it till I was sure..cus its a great mod.. just have to be careful in future what I mix it with but all working beautiful now thx for the advice and pointing me in right direction
