denver25 Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014  was looking back on this post and remembered about the body work you are working with,I.e, BBP,TBBP and so on, I found something that may come in handy for you so i thought i would put it on here for you to have a look at, well if you are still working on this anyway  http://www.loverslab.com/topic/24797-mesh-rigger-skyrim-fallout-oblivion-beta46-3-23-2014/?do=findComment&comment=623250  Interesting little tool. I'll play around with it when I get the chance. If it works like I think it does, it could save a lot of time. Thanks for the heads up.   No Worries, Thought it may come in handy for you
Deadly Kitten Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 so how is development coming along?   so how is the development of this mod going? its been silent here for some time  Been pretty busy for the past few weeks, but we've still been working on it. Unfortunately, Phoenix has run into a considerable setback and has lost a good deal (almost all of it) of the progress he's made in regards to rewriting the framework. In spite of losing a lot of work, this is actually a good chance to clean up the code a bit. The original framework was rather messy and inefficient in some places, or so I was told by both Phoenix and Frost.   A little update though: For the most part, the framework is done in the sense that we know what we want it to do. Given that the files themselves were accidentally deleted (don't ask how it happened), it would be truly done right now. The next step would be to start tying in the part which interacts with RaceMenu for the tattoos. I've been tasked with this, while Phoenix begins work on the new spells and nudity-aware dynamics of the CotW. Once the framework has been rewritten, this is how the new game plan will look. Â
visby Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Sounds very cool. I look forward to trying it out someday. Good luck with the development.
Deadly Kitten Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014  so how is development coming along?   so how is the development of this mod going? its been silent here for some time  -snip-   Yikes, just realized the last status update was in regards to the same dude. thomas00126, are you friends of the devs or something?
rangedphoenix Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Not that I'm aware of... Regardless, I made a small section about cotw in my update blog post if anyone's interested in how things are going. Â Honestly though, its more that he's just the one that asks. Afterall, can't answer a question that hasn't been asked.
thomas00126 Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 so how is it going its been quiet for some time any news here?
Deep Red Posted November 11, 2014 Author Posted November 11, 2014 I've got a bit of bad news actually.. Okay, I lied, this is really bad news. Â After about a week's worth of debate and thought, Phoenix and I have decided to shelf CotW indefinitely. The main reason behind this is the lack of time on my end. Call of the Wild is an incredibly ambitious idea for a mod, perhaps a little too ambitious for it's own good. With the loss of Frostbrand, CotW has really been bouncing around on three legs all this time. Truth is the project is far too large in scope for a 2-man team to tackle and expect to complete in any reasonable amount of time. We've been working on this for nearly 4 months now, and we are only just reaching an alpha phase of development. Realistically, this just isn't going to happen. Phoenix and I both work on CotW on our spare time (which continues to shorten with each month) and can really only throw in roughly three to four hours per week of quality time into our little project. In the way of other responsibilities such as work and college, I personally can't find the time to continue development, much less the motivation to do so. The very little leisure time I do have I'd rather spend gaming and enjoying it, rather than trying to bring additional people aboard the band wagon. Â This is just the tip of the iceberg, however. There's a plethora of reasons why Phoenix and I ultimately agreed to shelf CotW, but I will go in greater depth on another blog update. With any luck, it should be somewhere this week. There I will discuss where Phoenix and I will head from here and what our plans for the future are. As much as it pains us to see Call of the Wild on the top shelf, we feel it's the honest thing to do. There's no sense in peddling an empty box with a shiny wrapping. The one thing I can say for now is that we aren't going to scrap the project entirely. More than likely what will happen is we will scale down the scope of the project significantly. Depending on the results and interest generated, we'll escalate development again, but it's unlikely that it will reach the initial level of sophistication.
Kaos Wulf Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Sad to see it go. I had a druid/dryad type character planned to use with this. Will you, at the very least, release your jewelry that was to be included with CotW?

I'll release what has been done so far once I can get around to polishing the rough edges a bit more and work it into a presentable state.
WaxenFigure Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Â It is wise to recognize that you have a vision larger than you can accomplish. Reducing the vision to something you can make work and adding to it incrementally is one way of ensuring that the vision isn't lost entirely.
ajblue90 Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 that suuuucccksss ive been waiting for this mod for fucking ever :''''( thats a super sad face
Forsworn00 Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Damn that's unfortunate, was really looking forward to this. But you're right, definitely too much for 2 modders.
denver25 Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Had a feeling this would happen from when frost first had to leave the project, Its a pitty as this was one of the mods that alot of people were looking for but as you said its far too big for just 2 modders to even try to complete, as iv siad its a pitty but as its your mod its your choose as to wether to stop dev on it, iv been waiting for this anouncement for the last couple of months but at least you have given it a lot of thought as to were to take it or wether to shelve it
Lused Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 im still comeing back every couple of months, just to see if you have resumed works, i hope one day to play this on skyrim ^.^, i know there must be many things causing this hault, but even though its on the back burner paused i still egerly wait, this is one project i read and fell in love with, and ive seen the executions of most things that have come to be to date as haveing a grate quality of work put into them i half feel i should pay for this lol
BringtheNoise Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Any update on the meshes and textures? Â I would like to tinker with them after looking at the different shots in the original thread...
Mondo80 Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 You focused on the presentation instead of seeing if it would work or not. Slavetats and Untamed could've served as the base of the mod, then you could have built out from there.  Engineering expression: get it to work, then make it work better   P.s. I am not an engineer but should have been.

I tried to implement things like this in AFS, but I failed. So, I pass my turn.

I tried to implement things like this in AFS, but I failed. So, I pass my turn.   Well this came back to bite my ass.   I have zero modding skills in Skyrim, I've read a bunch of tutorials and seen a bunch video but couldn't get anything to work.  I did read read all the posts from the mod author and saw that they were biting off more than what they could handle in terms of desired features. Lots of nice art but they didn't even make it to an alpha when one of them quit. This probably happens to a alot of modders.    As to the Slavetats and untamed thing, that was a suggestion. The OP is still active on this site, the mod could be made.
Azurefrost Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Well, at the end of the day, I got to busy to work on something, and frankly, I found Skyrim a pain in the butt to work with. I don't have a doubt I'd be able to make this mod if I put in the required effort, but it's hard to justify working on a porn mod when I can be working on my own game or projects that can make me money. When I initially formulated the idea and began working with everyone, I didn't expect to have to jump through so many hoops with the editor for even basic functionality. The CK is pretty powerful, but its usability has a lot to be desired. Â Besides, Skyrim is already starting to drift to the wayside as everyone looks at Fallout 4 as the next modding scene. These sorts of games don't have a long enough lifespan to justify going all out.
darkevilhum Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Was there any mesh/ source release for this mod? Particularly the jewelry (anklet/armbands/rings) displayed in the screenshots.
WaxenFigure Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Why is this mod dead? Author decided so, it's as simple as that. If you want more than that look back in the thread for the answer like you should have done in the first place.
Forsworn00 Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 I get so excited when I see this thread bumped, thinking it may be being worked on again. ;_;
thomas00126 Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 are there still plans for this mod returning?
