You should make something similar to this clothing mod. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36518/? Adds body paint in the form of clothing, course then you wouldn't be considered naked unless you can set it up somehow to detect that you are naked. I could definately see my character using this mod wearing fur or forsworn gloves and boots and just body paint.

There's already going to be tattoos, actually. Body paint would just seem sort of redundant. The defining characteristic of CotW is that it forces the player to be completely nude in order to use primal magic. Adding "clothing" such as this defeats the purpose of the entire mod. :P

Ah ok, are the tattoos going to be item slot equipable or racemenu overlays? I use quite a few overlays in racemenu so my characters tend to be tattooed pretty well as it is.

It would be nice to just use the same mechanisms via mcm as the one used in slavetats... that's also configurable from racemenu after they're applied.

is there a projected release date for this? im kinda getting excited just reading the info.

Unfortunately, there's no estimated release date yet. Phoenix has been making a great deal of progress with the framework lately, however. We still might be able to have a playable version by the end of the year, but don't hold us to that. Lots of things can happen between now and December.

Oh well, please take your time. better to release a bug free mod then to have it CTD people all the time

Haha... Speaking of CTD's there was a small type casting bug I ran into at first that caused a crash. Of course, it was promptly fixed. At any rate, the framework is just about ready for a release, although its kind of useless on its own...

This sounds awesome indeed, and it's good that we will have quests based around the new "powers" and hopefully maybe add a chain quest for it with it's own story ? that would be quite cool, but by the looks of the features and whatnot, it's going to be quite the endeavor. Looking forward to the first release.

We're not sure at this point. With the framework pretty much done, we can start doing the spells and introductory quests now. Unfortunately, quests are where the bulk of the work is due to their buggy nature.

At best, I'd say we might have a playable alpha by the end of this year. But again, don't hold us to that because there's quite a bit to do on the art assets department as well. As far as the progress goes though, I think the team is pretty solid on the planning phase and we're ready to start putting what we have together now.

Is it supposed to be used in combination with other mods?

While the official answer is no, we're going to be accommodating Frostfall into CotW. It's not required, but it's a mod we use and would recommend others should use while playing with CotW. Again, it isn't necessary, but recommended.

Updated 6th of july :) I do read the blog.

Good to hear phoenix! Glad you joined this project, best of luck.

found this, thought it seemed similar to the If player == naked then (effect) system you guys have planned, figured it might help if you weren't already aware (and it probably can't hurt if you already were) - http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/1240-dibellan-defender-naked-heroines-of-skyrim/

in closing, I'm really looking forward to this mod being out, alpha or otherwise and would be beyond pleased to offer my ideas and even help with more technical bits (although coaching would be required in the beginning)

Just checking in to say I'm currently dealing with some RL problems of my own and am not actively contributing to the progress of CotW. However, I still do work on meshes and textures on my spare time (which is little to none at this point). Development on the framework itself is still on-going though.

My apologies for the lack of updates.

Back again!

I wanted to remind everyone interested in our little show here to follow us on our development blog, if you already haven't done so. You can check us out by clicking on the big green button on my sig. That's where I will be posting the smaller updates and will reserve the major updates/changes for this thread so those even those who aren't interested can see what the fuss is about. It'll keep things cleaner and clutter-free this way.

Always nice with updates!

If you want to make custom tribal designs for your tatoos i would highly recommend doing so in illustrator! They can be made fairly easily with the pen and variable width tool (requires Illustrator cs5), here's a tutorial explaining the process.

Hope this makes your life easier!

Hmm, interesting find. I'll definitely look into it, thanks a bunch!

i cant wait for this mod to release. im dying to make an amazon-like character. its the perfect mod for me :)

i would like to make a request though - could it be structured in a way that if someone wanted to change the body type they could do so (like the ningheim race)? after u install it, it has its own mesh and texture folders and u can change it to whatever u wish (i use the UN7B body for mine). granted the 7B bombshell body would be perfect for playing a muscular amazon type woman, but there are other bodies that would be good as well like the "touched by dibella" body. although im sure that would cause problems with body tattoos then but u could also do the same with those as well. that way people could use whatever body they wanted and have whatever tattoos and u wouldnt have to do conversions for all the other body types.

You mean an in-game menu of some sort? Kind of like the Body Changer mod? If so, I don't know if we will. The best answer I can provide is maybe, depending on how difficult it is to do. In my opinion, it's easier to simply choose a body type and stick with it. How I plan on approaching this situation is to provide mesh packages for the body mods we intend on supporting. This way, you could take your pick and overwrite the default mesh files. While the team is all for customization, I feel this might be stepping over the line a bit in terms of flexibility.

However, in terms of tattoos, this will be much easier to accomplish since the vast majority of body mods out there use either the UNP or CBBE UV map. This means only two versions of the tattoos are necessary. Outside of those two, it is unlikely we'll be offering support to another type of body (like Lady Body, for example).

I can't say I'm familiar with the Ningheim race. From what I'm seeing, it's apparently a popular custom race, but I hadn't heard of it until now.
