Um, yes, I have no other incentive except that I am angry at the Nexus Forums for blocking so many good people from using their site. So Yes, to get back at the nexus forums by making their closed-minded hypocrisy open and free for everyone, is a really good reason.

You want to know why *I* was previously banned from the Nexus? Here's why: In Chat, when I was HELPING another chat user by telling the directory of Skyrim, the moderator ASSUMED that I stole Skyrim and immediately BANNED me permanently. I made another account from another computer and asked them why I was banned. They said "no piracy, banned forever." I said, you want proof I bought the game? (guess what, I had actually bought the game, but i still use the RELOADED crack because thing is I don't want to be forced to log into Steam just to start the game of Skyrim). Well guess what, I even scanned my receipt and emailed it to them. And I gave them access to my Steam account for solid proof I bought the game. They said "too bad, banned forever, you could have bought after-the-fact". I said, did you see the date on the receipt? But even more, SO WHAT if someone DID buy the game "after-the-fact". they still BOUGHT the game! The mods at the Nexus forums are a bunch of self-righteous pricks who get pleasure just from banning.

 

But even more, who are they to judge people for whether the pirated the game or bought it?! Not everyone is the world has $60 to throw away on a video game! So because they are poor, then they can't enjoy benefits of life that are readily available? That is not only unfair, it is mindless self-righteous justification. Do you think these Bethesda people who make billions of dollars per year need the extra $60 from a poor person who makes less than $20,000, living in legal poverty? NO!

 

Anyway, Google "the dante ban nexus" without quotes and you'll quickly see the slews of other users who were also banned for little or no reason. This would be OK -- if "banning" didn't mean NO LONGER CAN USE THE MODS FOR SKYRIM. because the Nexus has a monopoly. So, since I got re-access to full access to the site when I changed my internet provider, i was quick to create all these mods updates for all the other people who can't or don't want to log into the Nexus forums.

They got the culprit in the end.. And it didn't end well for him. It was boy from Germany. He is now either behind barres or no longer on the internet. And he didn't only ddos but also hack the site forcing everyone to change there password.

 

I wished only they revealed his identity completely. people like that don't deserve privacy.

I tolerate LL's position on this because Ashal tolerates mine' date=' and that was handled well. SexyKelly was being immature about it.

 

I'm not one to follow laws which conflict with my ethics, however, I don't presume that others share my morals, nor if they did would they be willing to risk standing against a legal system as I often do. So, again, that's fine.

Evil begets evil. It's blowback and some might call it justice in a community that otherwise is too lacking in character to do anything themselves. When everyone else does nothing or even goes so far as to support Nexus, then expect to reap what you sow in some form or another, even if just for a day. I would be delighted though to see more balance and more attacks so long as the community itself continues to demonstrate its lack of character and support of Nexus.

I'm a long time member in one of the Linux forums and it is very well moderated. It has a worldwide audience of all ages. Very friendly atmosphere. I've only been involved with the nexus for a month and I hate it. I only found this place, not for the mods but because of my quick dislike of the nexus forums. I'm sry to say it. I found tes adventures but it was not user friendly and too annoying. I'm a member in good standing with 6 other chat forums. Two of which I continue daily visits, the others only monthly visits. I happen to be infatuated with this lalaland because I can relate sexually and it is a resource for my oblivion addiction. So far the people are friendly and the moderators helpful so we will see where this affair goes. As far as tes, i can only hope that something else can replace them or at least make a competitive challenge to what is shaping up to be a monopoly in mainstream english tes mods. But then again i am brand new and don't really know anything

indeed epic statement there friend , good community are like loverslab , gamerotica and planetelderofscrolls but comparing to nexus sure they got shit load of mods , still huge file base on website doesn't make it's superior.

Funny; i took a study course when I went into college b4 university and it made such a big difference that i always made sure to take one course each semester that would improve my ability to learn/study. One of those courses was a beginners course in speed reading. Real basic stuff, the beginning of pattern recognition in print, how to view the written page in snapshot like formats, seeing not reading sort of thing. Ignoring certain bridge words like "the and I a as". I also ignored certain posts altogether that were going elsewhere and many posts were basically repeats of previous posts anyway so i skipped those too. Still it took an hour of my time in 2 sittings to complete.

 

If you are wondering why i read it; after all this time (years) devoted into my oblivion characters to find a place like this... well it is emotional for me. It's hard to put to words but it is like a ray of light brightening my room. So ya, i want to learn quickly whats going on here and there. This is one of the threads that explains a part of the community history. It provides me a background so i can move forward with a sort of mental map iykwim. It is always nice to find people that have had similar experiences and shared feelings. i like reading stuff like that.

Funny thing is that i just found tes alliance this evening. It allows me to upload pics but its interface is so distracting with visuals it is a bit of a turn off but I signed up and uploaded a pic. We will see if that can replace nexus. It really is all about relationships so we'll see what happens.

I've spewed my fair share of vitriol towards the Nexus - some of it unwarranted (tight-assed Nexus fanboys kind of ganged up on me a little bit when I was a new member. It wasn't actually the mods who were coming down on me. I didn't realize that at the time, though. Stupid of me to use the same nickname everywhere I go...)

 

My question is this: How is the Nexus legally able to sell premium memberships? The vast majority of the content on that site is either owned by Bethesda, or is owned by other companies or persons. In my game, I have hairstyles taken from The Sims. I have clothes and armours directly ripped from Resident Evil, DOA, and Street Fighter. I have companions that look identical to Angelina Jolie, Megan Fox, and many others. The chick from Harry Potter is my favourite, though. If she only knew what was virtually happening to her... (Hey, she's legal now. Back off...)

 

I'm also sure that Mrs. Pitt would love the fact that she's constantly being fucked by animals - and sold as a whore - in a videogame owned by ME. I will also guarantee you (or not) that the photographer who originally took the pics that Angelina's FaceGen files are based on is cool with his Oscar winning subject being used as a sex tool by a 50 year old man not named Brad Pitt. Shit, the copyright holder probably fantasizes about his legendary subject getting mouth fucked by a doberman every night before he falls asleep and is THANKFUL that his picture of Angelina is being used as a FaceGen file at The Nexus. C'mon! We all know that ALL professional photographers work under a GPL license. Go nuts! Upload and modify their pics. All their work is free to use without obligation! Nexus mods - I know SOMEONE from that site browses this forum. Can you possibly make public the release forms and licensing agreements that Urrl has on file before he uploaded the likenesses of real, living people to your site?

that's excactly what i've to try to talk about with a mod from nexus via pm. useless...you can copy (without using the original stuff) a copyright protected design by your own 1to1 and its okay...., BUT without TERA and and .... but Blizzard Designs are accepted. where's the border.... i can't see it?
