Has this mod been officially abandoned? What's the policy on taking over a mod, or releasing a variant of it? I've been toying with the idea of re-doing this dialogue for a more lore-consistent experience, with better grammar/spelling.

After this long of a wait, I would say its probably been abandoned, but it's always a good idea to try and email the original author and ask for permission.  I am in the current processes of planning then making a mod myself and if I left it alone for a long time like this (and forgot to put some info for if I abandoned it) that the least I would hope someone would do for my mod.

thank you hydragorgon for this mod! also thanks for making it easily customizable.  it has become one of my favorite mods for eye candy and my hobby recently has been to modify the slaves to suit my personal tastes ?

for all again who had also troubles:

How-To patch your own Mod:
If you want to create a patch for your mod (Botox your mod's heads), you can do the following in Creation Kit:

1.Temporarily Uninstall/Disable Head texture mods during these steps. (You will get the red forehead bug if you don't do this)
2. Add "Botox.bsa," and "ballowmultiplemasterfiles=1, ballowmultiplemasterloads=1" to the SkyrimEditor.ini (Important: leave the ',' comma after Botox.bsa)

[General]
ballowmultiplemasterfiles=1
ballowmultiplemasterloads=1

[Archive]
SResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Update.bsa, DawnGuard.bsa, HearthFires.bsa, Dragonborn.bsa,
 Botox.bsa,

3. Load your mod.esp (make yourmod 'active' plugin, so your npcs will have a '*' in the object window and are easier to spot) + Botox_CharGen.esp + Botox.esp in CreationKit (Cancel all error messages)
4. Select your NPCs you want to convert and press CTRL + F4
  (This will generate new head .nif's (and tints) from the Botox Assets in the FacegenData/FaceGeom folder.)
5. Reenable/reinstall your texture mods. Done. That's it.

I just removed Botox_CharGen.esp from the installation and that sloved the issue with face/body missmatch (at least on 98% of all Hydagon slaves)

but now I have the invisibility bug again on some of botox modified NPCs (like travelers of skyrim)

hope your solution works better

I installed this years ago, and am the sort to stop that infernal patching ASAP.

This mod adds a lot of personality to the game and it's fun to see just where these poor slaves end up. While I can't share anything to help those with current patches to get this compatible or running, I can endorse this as a fun addition, and is worth some trouble to get it into your game.

yes this was my first solution too xD.. but how you sayed it caused bugs.^^ - so far the other solution that i posted looks like it works. but if you export the faces your CK will look like as it will crash.. just dont click in tothe ck while its 'crashing' .. after an hour or one and a half the ck managed to export all the faces - there really many of them... xD

I followed the instructions given by the author of Botox, and I did export new faces for all the hydragorgon npcs successfully (very pretty), but they still have a miss-match of body-face color - "neckseam".

You also weren't lying, it did take exactly an hour for the Creation Kit to finish. I am not good with the CK, so I instinctively clicked on Data>Save before exiting the program and re-enabling other head texture mods. No red forehead bug :) but any advice on the neckseam issue?

o.o it worked for me and it still does ? some npc's have a meshseam between head and body so you can look throu them - this are the npc's what ive just and easy delete via console ... click on that npc,

Disable

markfordelete

and the problem is solved. xD did you mean that or truely a color-missmatch? because that tutorial above worked for me o.o - loadorder is then hydragons mod load after botox

i saved the mod too, so thats not the problem..^^

edit:// is it on all npc's from that mod or only a few? if only a few, you maybe not exported all faces? did you choose in ck the row "Actors" and type in filter "hyd"  and export really all?

I did not yet encounter any slavegirls with a see-through neck, but simply color miss-match between head and body.

I noticed that the Botox author also uploaded a set of CBBE textures, which funnily enough did not solve the issue, but rather caused EVERY female, the player and vanilla NPCs included to have neckseam, so I deinstalled that again.

I also adjusted my load order so that hydra's slavegirls load after Botox, but that didn't solve the problem either.

Here's a screenshot of a random slave in front of Whiterun (I think she was supposed to be bald, so the hair is not the issue! It's just the neck)

mhr looks exactly like my issue before ive used the tutorial from the Botox author o.o i whould try to delete the facegen-meshes and textures (only from Botox(!)) from your meshes and texture folder and Export them again... and you are shure that you followed the Tutorial exactly? with all ini-changes and load both botox files as Master? - and are you sure, that you do not miss a few npc's from that mod?

do you use the latest version of both mods?

I do use the latest version of both mods. Hydragorgon hasn't updated this one in a long time, and I downloaded Botox yesterday.

Since all actors names added by this mod conveniently start with "hyd" I am certain that I did not miss any of the NPC in the Creation Kit, and I paid close attention to the ini-changes I needed to make. That is to add

[General]
ballowmultiplemasterfiles=1
ballowmultiplemasterloads=1

[Archive]
SResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Update.bsa, DawnGuard.bsa, HearthFires.bsa, Dragonborn.bsa,
 Botox.bsa,

I did dump the Creation Kit exports (facegen meshes and textures) into the slavegirls mod. Should they have gone into the Botox directory?

no there placed right - you dumped them by yourself? did the ck not export by itself to the right directory?

did you install some other mods they works simlear to botox? maybe is there the change and not from botox?

I am using Mod Organizer, so the Creation Kit exports ended up in a directory called "Overwrite", which you can then merge into a mod or create a new one out of it.

Botox currently sits comfortably at the very end of my load order (Botox.esp, then Botox_CharGen.esp). I am very certain that I do not have any mod doing something similar to Botox, and since Botox and hydra's slavegirls currently occupy the very end of my load list I believe they'd overwrite any such mod.

I think I will reinstall both Botox and Hydra's slavegirls and export the meshes and textures again, only this time into the Botox directory. Taking a look at the file structure inside it looks more like where the files should belong. Although that's another hour of exporting. Ugh..

Mhr i never used MO - and last time i played fallout 4 i read more then once that MO cause more troubles as it heps. I personally use since two playthrou's NMM and had never troubles with it before that i installed manually - thats im pretty sure the safest way to install mods right - but NMM makes the uninstalling easier xD And the autor himself tested his mod only with NMM. Maybe is MO really the problem.

After reinstalling both Botox and Hydra's slavegirls from scratch, and running the game once with and without Botox, I made the boggling realization that the neck seam persists even without interference from Botox. Mind boggling is really the only way I could describe that I have evidently had this neck seam all along without noticing. I almost can't believe my own eyes.

At least this simplifies my issue, by excluding Botox, if you or any other user reading this can still bear with me.

I am using the simple, CBBE body textures. Is there a thing such as a CBBE textures patch for Hydra's Slavegirls? If not, am I just inevitable to suffer from neck-seam?

i dont know if i understand you right: you have this problem without botox?

Have female vanilla NPC's the same problem or only the one's from hydra?

so far i know Hydras mod comes not with own body/Face-textures and should use your installed ones.

what i think is that your installed textures are not fitting between face and body - so you could try to install a complete texture for cbbe .. like fairskin complexion or something simlear whats coming with body and face-textures.

(exporting faces is then still a must-have for use hydra with botox)

No! I finally figured it out. After you wrote that Hydra's mod doesn't come with its own body/face-textures, I booted up the game and inspected several other NPC from Hydra's slavegirls. I knew that this couldn't be true, because of all the goofy body colors some slave girls have. (bright purple, red, etc.)

This lead me to inspect the textures of this mod more closely, and I noticed that there is indeed facegendata in the mod that botox mustn't be allowed to override. Way back when I installed Hydra's slavegirls in late 2016 I merged the textures and main part of the mod into one because I didn't consider that I would ever install something such as Botox at that time.

The solution to the issue was to place hydra slavegirls827 textures below Botox etc. To be entirely fair this is exactly what the Botox author points out in the description of his mod: Keep in mind to load other face textures after botox so that they are not overwritten. I had simply forgotten that Hydra's slavegirls even had these textures in the first place. They're even a separate download. Now I'll spend another hour exporting the faces. I am confident that this will solve my issues once and for all.

Thank you a lot for sticking with me, despite my cluelessness. Helpful people are a great boon to any community. This includes you.

I got the same issue with Botox as you. How did you fix it ? Can you go in more detail ?

Navigate to the download section of Hydra's Slavegirls.
See the two separate main and textures downloads? You can export the faces per the method described by the Botox author, but Hydra's Slavegirls textures need to be BELOW Botox in your load order. Otherwise Botox will overwrite the funky body colors used in this mod, and you will get normal colored Dunmer heads on bright purple colored slut bodies.
