Guest Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Here's some logs, trace file is on. This is after a reinstall of Apropos, dogs seems to be working better now, but still some issues. Horse start messages seemed more inconsistent this time, even when switching animations. When the messages don't appear, they don't appear at all, it's not the 'quick flash then gone' thing that used to happen. Is there perhaps a load order fix? Anyone had any luck with sticking Apropos in a specific place? I imagine Apropos is possibly just lagging behind other mods, since BOSS has no idea where to put it. Apropos.0.7z
chajapa Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Try using LOOT instead of BOSS. It's a successor to BOSS and doesn't use a master list. I don't get the "unrecognized" mods any more and of 96 mods it has Apropos placed about in the middle at 47. LOOT
harlequin1229 Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I also switched to LOOT. Did use BOSS with BUM to place unrecognized plugins. Haven't noticed any placement problems with it yet.
gooser Posted May 18, 2014 Author Posted May 18, 2014 LOOT huh? I guess I'm waiting for Gopher to endorse it ...
gooser Posted May 18, 2014 Author Posted May 18, 2014 He already did. Really? Did I miss the video? Guess I did...
JahReit Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I use loot occasionally, but it will put character extension out of place in my list, so I revert to boss to get it where it belongs.
circ Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 My wear and tear options are completely blank, although it's enabled. Using LOOT for load order management, maybe I need to do some manual editing. One question too, is there any way to make the messages not fade so quickly? EDIT: I'm guessing my WT settings aren't showing because my SL stats probably had me banging someone before installing this, and I should probably just reset the stats.

Did you download the file marked no descriptions? From the Downloadds page Apropos_Beta_2014_04_24-no-descriptions.7z Apropos_Beta_2014_04_24.7z You want to use the Apropos_Beta_2014_04_24.7z file
circ Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Nope, using the other one. What does the no description one do? EDIT: oh, it just has no included database files. Nah I've got those. Read the FAQ a little closer and I guess you can't affect the duration.
Fredfish Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 SL stats shouldn't have anything to do with how Apropos works. If I remember right only M/F acts have been implimented so far, maybe thats your problem?
circ Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I don't know. I tried Apropos with another save that didn't have SL in the save yet, and I got an option to switch between WT states. The other previous save WT options were completely blank and I couldn't change them. Thought it might have something to do with SL stats but I guess it's just me screwing up somewhere.
gooser Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 Nothing to do with SL stats. Those are completely separate.
Guest Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Im sure I didn't download the no description mod but I dont see any messages in game. :7 I'm using the latest LB is that even supposed to work with the mod? Or there is an other issue here that's causing the messages not to appear?

If that is there and its full of nested folders containing text files, then that is not the issue. 2. Enable papyrus logging and go into MCM for Apropos enable both debug and trace level messages. 3. Run some sex tests. And post both the Papyrus0.log and Apropos0.Log. More info on the OP. What is LB ?
Guest Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Just noticed that Zaz' pillory animations already work, as normal vaginal messages. Dunno if that means it would be easy to do something with them.
Deedlit Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 its just me or wear and tear system was stop the msg with newest sexlab?
gooser Posted May 22, 2014 Author Posted May 22, 2014 its just me or wear and tear system was stop the msg with newest sexlab? I'm not sure. I don't run Apropos currently under 1.57 because I am rewriting it. The W&T module is being replaced with something more reliable.

RDKateran Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Would that rewrite take NPC sex stats into account? I just kinda find it weird that the initial stats on my NPC Cerwiden would say that she's done it with 13 guys when I start the game, but the moment a sex scene happens, if NPC W&T is active it treats her like a virgin.
gooser Posted May 22, 2014 Author Posted May 22, 2014 Virginity is going to be separated but related to W&T. I am using SexLab's stats to determine virginity; beyond that I am tracking W&T separately. Also, not everyone will get W&T tracked - only unique (named) NPC's. "Bandit Marauder" will not get tracked, but "Ysolda" would.
afa Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 How are you going to treat virginity? Is it really going to be a one and done unique thing? That might create a lot of content that will be loss to the player and work that might never get seen.
RDKateran Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 That's pretty much the reality of losing one's virginity, in-game and out.
