afa Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Well....it then requires pretty much an entire set of unique dialog that should match the scenario being present, all monster/human/quantity/consensual/non-consensual combination and will ever play only once and the rest will never get seen. Plus it also lead to assuming that everyone is a virgin at the start of the game???
Fredfish Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I think SL 1.57 assigns random experience to all NPCs at the start of a new game (from virgin to "been there, done that, got the strap on, tattoo and bondage gear - just don't ask about the soapy frogs")
Guest Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Im sure I didn't download the no description mod but I dont see any messages in game. :7 I'm using the latest LB is that even supposed to work with the mod? Or there is an other issue here that's causing the messages not to appear? 1. Look for a folder called "Apropos" under data. If that is there and its full of nested folders containing text files, then that is not the issue. 2. Enable papyrus logging and go into MCM for Apropos enable both debug and trace level messages. 3. Run some sex tests. And post both the Papyrus0.log and Apropos0.Log. More info on the OP. What is LB ? guess LL would have been better, lovers laB alright gona try what u said
chajapa Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 If virginity is tied to SexLab stats and you wanted to see the virginity stuff play out, maybe you just reset stats in SexLab and start the character's sexual experience over. Then you could have the music of Foreigner playing in the background for the first sex act...Feels like the first time Feels like the very first time....

RFLillian Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 This is great! Thanks! I modified mine so much to make it as random as can be that if you open up the synonyms you'd see a huge list, and if you opened one of the description sets all you'd see is a crazy array of braces and a few words here and there lol. It'd be awesome if you could implement something like this in older games like Oblivion or even Morrowind! (Or maybe especially Morrowind, since it's mostly text-based?) I do have one gripe though, probably my fault but let's see if someone can help? For some reason, some of the words in the synonym file (even though I checked, recheck, and retyped them) are either capitalized or in all caps... it's kind of annoy to suddenly see: "So-and-so whines in QUIVERING need as... blah blah." I mean, I know it's probably a pretty intense situation, but come on! That or having randomly capitalized words is immersion breaking... Any thoughts?
psikochik Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 What about this scenario...You're an innocent explorer checking out Blood Castle for the first time and find ahhh! Vampires! Run away! Run away! You manage to escape unscathed but find you've been *sob* turned. That pale skin, noir makeup, no more tanning by the boiling springs, and you're still a virgin. And every evening after, you wake up a virgin. Unless you don't take your prescribed dirt nap. - it could happen. Oh and the CAPITOL thing, if you update the synonym file you have to do a refresh in the MCM for it to use your latest. I've also run across a description where the tag was in caps but without brackets so it took it as text. If you know the general pairing that that took place you can go to the folder and check. ~ Gosser thanks again for your great mod!
Marcus01 Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 I can't wait for your updates. I'm using it on SL 1.57 and it works but it looks like it is missing (not describing) many animations or perhaps animations from other mods like ZAP, DD and SD+, compatibility for those would be amazing. And yes I know it mentions using SL 1.39b I just really love this mod but other mods are requiring SL 1.50+ now.
circ Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Yeah, it works something like 20-25% of the time and when it does it skims by so fast I have no idea what it said. I don't know why this can't just use the default Skyrim notify format in the upper left corner, that seems to be both timely and sustains for a bit.

I always refresh it whenever I make a change, but it doesn't help. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by tags and pairing. The word in braces (the tag I guess?) is different from the word in all caps that it is under. A few other words just have the first letter capitalized, even though the "bracketed" word is in all caps, so I'm not sure how that works?
gooser Posted May 29, 2014 Author Posted May 29, 2014 Update: I've been working on the main mod features as well as the new SkyUI widget for displaying messages separately from the top-left hand corner. The latter is a little slower in progress, but I have (with the help from the author of SkyUI) made some decent progress. The next update of Apropos probably will not include the Widget, but just main mod features and continue to use the default notification area in the top-left and will consist of: - Support for new animations and tags (including creature tags) - A complete rewrite of W&T including effects - Stage change notifications - Arousal tags Missing: - F/F support - M/M support (sorry)

You unfortunately have hit an internal Skyrim limitation with the way strings are handled. Certain words, like "load", "member" etc are already included by Skyrim internally through either the maingame, DLC's, or other thirdparty mods that have utilized these strings. Once they are capitalized there's no way to get Skyrim to treat the string in Apropos as something different so it hangs on to it permanently. Its a real bummer. There use to be API calls in Papyrus/SKSE that would allow a mod developer to uppercase/lowercase words, and even those have been deprecated/removed because they never worked properly. It's so bad, I've removed words from the standard distributed database files and synonym lists ("load" and "member" are notable removals)
RFLillian Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Oh man, it took me an entire day to completely randomize the "situations" lol. My synonym list is absolutely enormous and I've added several additional descriptions to each race... you're just making it difficult on me now! XD It's certainly entertaining to tweak though. Can't wait for the update! That sucks about the internal strings. Is there no way to bypass that with a script? Like tell it to ignore tags and only use the ones under "synonyms"?

Well, if you edited the description files, you should be fine. The only file that is getting radically changed is the WearAndTearDescriptors.txt. I will provide two downloadable installers - one that installs the database files, and one that does not, for people who have made their own edits.
RFLillian Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 So the update will cover different positions you say? Like, for example, giant "harassment" or things added from other mods like the pillory from prison overhaul? That be neat.

Well on that one specifically, maybe not, since there is no "harrassment" tag. There is a "holding" tag that I could use.
RFLillian Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 What about different stages? You currently have beginning and ending stage, but the ones in between are left alone. Is it possible to add (if you want empty but open) description sets for the other stages? Sorry, I like to write lol.

Not sure how the progress is going but definitely worth waiting for. This has added a lot to the game for me. 'Course I don't really actually play through much anymore. I mostly get into mischief.
nutluck Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Looking forward to testing the next update, this is mostly just a encouragement post.
gooser Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 Hello folks, during my testing today something happened. Hope you might know the answer: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/32327-notification-area-visible-only-when-console-open/
gooser Posted June 7, 2014 Author Posted June 7, 2014 Yep that was Immersive FP. Fixed. Status update: Checked in code and db changes for Arousal, structured WT descriptors, stage descriptions, etc. See git for change details. No release yet.
