medic975 Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 If you delete the body before conversion you would still have to paste your to body back into it and it might be smaller then the to body and might need some tweaking. You can delete the body in nifskope with the right click outfit - block - remove branch then save as. (Make sure to make a backup of the original nif first) Might be better if you deleted the body out and then paste a body that is the same back into it then redo the lattice with the new from body and see if that works. Gotcha. I'll give it a shot. I attempted to delete the body with 3ds and then ran the conversion using the empty armor and the sizes were right just shifted off body quite a bit. I'll try your method though and see if I have better results. I appreciate it.
myuhinny Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 @vince8595 I think something might be wrong with the body in the armor if you look at the body in nifskope it is very blocky instead of being smooth loading it up pops up lots of improper rotation matrix errors when trying to make the lattice I also noticed in your post that you have gender set to *gender : Both* I only use both when I'm converting a male armor to a female version any other time I have it set to female only for female armors.
saddad Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Hmm, from the errors it looks like the nif isn't even getting loaded. Pyffi is just throwing tons of exceptions when it attempts to load that nif. Basically, pyffi isn't even able to hand off the nif. post the nif and I'll take a look at it. Hi gerra6, while you are at it, mind as well take a look at this nif? Can't convert it because of some indexerror. Body.nif

It could be the body in the armor, because trust me I tried female only first, I only tried both when I had a problem converting female boots...
happy_polla Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Anyone can share lattice file? conver from CBBE to UNPB bodies.
ratrace Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Wouldn't that be a nice addition to the tool? A menu where you can choose pre-made conversion presets to choose from for your conversions between the body styles? That way each user wouldn't have to make his own lattices that may or may not work.
gerra6 Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 I'm a bit in a coding burn-out phase right now, so things have slowed down considerably. However, I intend to add a CBBE <-> UNP UV converter to the next revision of the tool, once I convince my brain to start coding this stuff again. (right now I'm in the stare blankly at the code for 10 minutes before wandering off to do something else phase) The basic idea will be to start with an option in the UV search feature to select any conversions that currently exist in a new UV map library. Once that's complete, I'll start looking for ways to automate the detection of UV map type (I'm not entirely sure if this will be feasible). Once that's working the way I want it, I plan on coding a separate tool that can automatically remap a mesh from one known standard to another. But first, I need to start coding again. On the plus side I've got an update to Mesh Rigger that I'm just about ready to release. My apologies to everyone who has sent me a mesh in the last couple of weeks to look at. I'll get to them, but between life and coding burn-out, I haven't really done much related to this tool lately.
medic975 Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 No worries, your tool is nothing short of amazing and for me at least it's 95% towards perfect. Besides that small portion of each body it's brought over even the most intricate details wonderfully. Quite an Impressive feat. Rest that brain.
Dee383 Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 I Can Make A Lattice For T3BB - T6BB But It Wont Make A Lattice For T6BB - T3BB ? Any Ideas As To Why That Is ?
ratrace Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Recover. Overworking is neither fun nor good for the results of your work. Know that just too well.
gerra6 Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 None at all. What goes wrong when you attempt to make the t6 to t3 lattice?
Dee383 Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 When I Try To Create A T6BB - T3BB Lattice It Runs Thought The Process And Then I Get An Error And It Then Closes.....
Nepro Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 (edited) Using Convert Clothing 3. Click File-> Target Mesh Options-> Select Target Folder to convert an entire folder. I fail on this step. I generated the lattice from femaleupperbody C-cup to femaleupperbody DMRA. I put in target folder cuirass.nif of the Female Iron Armor Replacer from Assorted Protective Female Armors (http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/44678/?) mem4ob4 you're great! May internets always work in your favor. Now time for some converting. Edited May 10, 2014 by Nepro
mem4ob4 Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 NeproI am using version 85aHGEC C upperbody (from setbodyreloaded bombshell directory)toDMRA upperbody (from Nephs seamless)Lattice settings:targets: 10, distance: 25, normalweight: 0.57skin, UV, and vertexindex all selected.Converter settings:dont cross x axis and recalculate normals selected.targets: 1, Distance: 10, SearchWeight: 0Gender: both. The cuirass.nif and two others in the target folder.cuirass.nif Mem
Nepro Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Whoohoo! Finally I can get the conservative DMRA armors. Thank you so much gerra6 & mem4ob4 for giving dummies easy way to use conversion tool and instructions.
gerra6 Posted May 10, 2014 Author Posted May 10, 2014 When I Try To Create A T6BB - T3BB Lattice It Runs Thought The Process And Then I Get An Error And It Then Closes..... Thanks. Which version of the tool are you using? The referenced line of code looks like something from 0.72. Try 0.85, a page or two back in the thread.
Dee383 Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 I Updated To 0.85 And It Cured The Problem ... Thank You ,
ger4 Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Would it be possible using future versions of the tools to convert a skyrim body .nif to use Oblibion compatible UV maps, re-position the body to the Oblivion T-pose and change the neck, feet and hand seams to Oblivon standard (i.e. HGEC/TGND/DMRA...)?
gerra6 Posted May 11, 2014 Author Posted May 11, 2014 Maybe. That's something that I'm working on, but it's likely to be a long way off. The pose conversion is already available in the Pose converter tool, available in the tool package a couple of pages back in this thread.
Nepro Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 (edited) I want to convert Leicher Dark Steel Cuirass to DMRA. I am concern because I don't know what meshes should I use to make the lattice. I am also concerned because I found file skeleton_nodes in the folder location of the armor set. Leicher Dark Steel Cuirass comes from StarX Vanilla Vampires Revisited mod. Here are couple pictures of the actual armor in game: http://imgur.com/a/Kyi0u I forgot to mention the armor consist of two pieces. It covers simultaneously lower and upper body. skeleton_nodes.nif DarkSteelOutfitM.nif Edited May 11, 2014 by Nepro
gerra6 Posted May 11, 2014 Author Posted May 11, 2014 The number of parts doesn't affect anything. All that you really need to do is find a body that fits the armor as it is now and use that as your 'From' nif when generating the lattice. For best results, ensure that your From nif and To nif use the same texture standard. If I were to guess, skeleton nodes just looks like a nif with the geometry blocks removed. Assuming this armor is a mash up, then that's just the base file that the modder used to paste the different geometry blocks into. I wouldn't worry about it...it's the modding equivalent of leftovers. For finding a matching body type, just try pasting bodies into the outfit in Nifskope and find one that looks about right and doesn't clip.
mem4ob4 Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Nepro- since it looks like original is male armor I might suggest HGEC A or AA for the from nif for the lattice. Going HGEC to DMRA is pretty smooth without worry. Since it is full body suit I would include HGEC lower of a normal instead of wide. But as Gerra says, do some testing to see what is closest for it. Mem
Nightwynd Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 actually it would be a lot easier to just use the DMRA Steel Plate and change the texture paths., and just add the lowerbody bits with nifskope.
mem4ob4 Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I suppose it would depend on what DMRA Steel Plate you were referring to Nightwynd (from what plugin). As long as the mesh and uv map match up. Mem
