darkevilhum Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Simple, UNP was designed to be as realistic to human anatomy as possible. CBBE is a body designed around a certain type of shape of woman. (Probably a preference of the authors). You can make UNP as curvy as CBBE if you want but it'll be in higher detail and more realistic. Now expanding on those bodies and with capabilities of BodySlide, I'd say UUNP still wins out because you can make any realistic shape out of it whereas CBBE would be limited in this department. Now the difference in detail and obvious difference in initial design are facts. However choosing one over the other is always going to be a matter of opinion. I've never seen a woman with a body shape like CBBE because it's unrealistic in certain areas like knees and stuff, you'd have to be both curvy/ voluptuous and incredibly muscular to achieve a shape like that.

I think is why one plays the CBBE character (or any body ....), as it is a fantasy world and you might as well have it your way if you can. Is it strictly realistic? Nope. Is it to the degree of realism that you want and still have the fantasy fulfilled? Up to you. I recently switched to the CBBE body as I was getting tired of the UNPB body (I had finally had enough of the plastic breasts - even with physics and tbbp, they still seemed 'plastic'). So far, the jury is out, but certainly the support for CBBE is fantastic. Every once in a while my eye catches some of the 'outlandish' shapes (breasts and butts) on some body here or on the nexxus and I wince... but can't deny that someone's fantasy world has gone way beyond mine. Now, if I could really understand the need for lingerie in Skyrim... seems odd to me. Looks really good, but how good is it at protecting you against dragons, etc.? Another question for another thread, I think.

Now, for some reason I have decided to try unp body by dimon99 and for some reason other than th fact I use it in other games like FO3 and FONV, it kind of has a "stick with you" kind of thing, or call it what you will. Now I have tried different bodies and CBBE, 7Dbodybase, and unp bodies are my three favorites.

CBBE is shaped out of fat. While UNP is shaped out of muscle. At last I ended up using UUNP. That's not a choice, is THE choice. I can make ANY type of body with it: curvy, fat, slender, athletic... UUNP has replaced all the bodies.

Antrox Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 My perspective of the different bodies: UNP - Skinny somewhat unnatural look UNPB - Thicker but more natural look of UNP UNP Skinny - Just No (Anorexia) UUNP - Basically 7b (With less seems) 7B - Thicker then UNPB but more of the amazonian look 7BO - 2x thicker then 7b (HAS SHIT TONS OF CLIPPING AND SEEMS) CBBE - Natural (Basically UNP with slightly thicker breast) (Very overused) CHSBHC - Thiq with a q... Abnormally large, and oversized. Lots of clipping. I prefer 7b over any because of how much armor support it has. Thorham Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Can someone explain why people like UNP and 7base over CBBE? For me it's because CBBE is a buggy. The overlapping vertices on the body (it's made of multiple parts) have vertex normals that point in different directions and this causes visible seams (import in 3ds max and you'll see it). For some reason this doesn't show up on some people's configurations, so the author of CBBE thinks it's people's hardware. A shame.
Thorham Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 IKR Here's proof using Blender, which also shows it. Left is UNP, right is CBBE. This is NOT a shading issue in Blender. Shows up in 3ds max as well. If you want to see it for yourself, export the CBBE body as OBJ using Nifskope and import it into Blender.
