RitualClarity Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 your challenge could include reloading the entire game because you can't trace where the problem occurred. Keep in mind you have been warned. Very few individuals get the installation of all the mods and resources correct the first time when loading all the mods at once.

Prior to creating the scr archive I need to install SCR stable or beta, right? http://www.loverslab.com/topic/13789-sexout-common-resources-stable-version-scr/
ChancellorKremlin Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 You need to read Ritual Clarity's Installation Guide very clearly which explains exactly what you need to do. But prior to that, I'd even give SexoutSexLite a spin (which doesn't require SCR) because you'll know right from the bat if you've installed NVSE and Prideslayer's NVSE Extender correctly. The only reason I'm saying this is because quite a lot of people manage to get it wrong, so its nice to eliminate possible problems right off the bat. Like RC said, if your going all out, you have been warned!

RitualClarity Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 So far as I know SCR is SCR. Stable is something that has been refined version. SCR beta is stuff he is working on now. In a few weeks SCR beta becomes SCR stable. and SCR stable gets tossed... lol. You only really want SCR beta when a mod requires it such as Breeder or you have an issue with the Stable and Halstrom instructs you to use SCR Beta because the fix is in that. All the guides are used for both Versions SCR Stable and SCR beta. The resources and installation is the same. that should help clarify the differences and give you the needed info on what you want to install. Pay particular attention to the requirements and conflicts. There are few conflicts in Sexout mods but when they are there be very careful using them especially if you aren't familiar with modding in general and Sexout particularly.
Halstrom Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Yeah SCR stable should work fine for anything other than Breeder, SCR beta is due to become stable very soon as it's a bit too far ahead, it does have a few big changes from Stable, but shouldn't require a clean save/ I'm just waiting to confirm latest stuff and changes haven't introduced any new issues.

Fated_Sin Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 gotta say sexout went into my game without a hitch which makes me a happy guy. I remember my first times putting lovers in oblivion and sexlab in skyrim were nightmares.
RitualClarity Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Pride works hard on setting it up so that it does all the hard work installing. That is the reason for the advise to use FOMM because that is what is tested and used during development. Anything else can open up issues with the installation.
Kaito13 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 I have NVSE Extender v12 and I get a warning on startup that I need v11. Do I actually need to downgrade? Or will it still work?
RitualClarity Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 as far as I know it should still work. (backwards compatible) and more and more mods are moving to use the resources of v12. I would keep it as it. It is likely just a over-site with the mod check process in Sexout. Things like this have happened before.
prideslayer Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 The only warning that says v11 will usually also say that you currently have v0 - meaning you somehow installed v12 wrong. What exactly is the error you see that says you need v11?
z4m0lx3s Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 I'm still not running sexout AT ALL, however I did upgrade NVSE from 2b12 to 4.2b2 and Extender from 11 to 12. I seem to be getting significantly more CTDs now, but I don't know if it's because of the upgrade or because I'm playing through Honest Hearts. Sorry for posting here, just want to see if anyone noticed a similar behavior.
kalhohan Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Hi, I got an encounter with some ghoul near the nucklear test site, but during the scene the 2 character had there position inverted. Is there a fnis like in skyrim to launch? To correct the position so they face each other? Thanks

Sorry for posting here, just want to see if anyone noticed a similar behavior. Nobody that I've heard from. After doing some more digging, it would seem that either my savegame got buggered up again, OR Honest Hearts has some specific buggy area I must avoid. Shortly after posting the previous message I managed to play about 1h without a CTD by sleeping 72h in game and avoiding the area that was crashing me out.
prideslayer Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Updated OP to make it clear that the NX version required is v11 or newer. The past few days I've received half a dozen PMs asking where to get v11 (where did all of you come from at once?!). Like most (but not all) software, the required version of NVSE and NX for Sexout is the minimum required version. Higher versions are always OK.
BruceWayne Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 I take part of the blame, since I didn't update the guide until now... With that being said, the link to the extender in this thread points to a non-existing thread.
ChancellorKremlin Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 While we're on it, the "incompatibility" part of the Installation Instructions really needs to be updated to reflect this workaround.
prideslayer Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Points to nonexisting thread.. again. argh. Fixing. Goddamn this editing the download updates the support topic OP does not update the download... situation.
prideslayer Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Ok fixed the link. CK, that bug is/was documented already with instructions elsewhere. I'll look, maybe they got lost. It's not just/always knockdown idles that needs edited -- it's *any* vanilla idle that was edited that way, if the only difference in fnvedit is the "related animations" entry in the right hand panel.
ChancellorKremlin Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 I know its been documented elsewhere, I think Astymma also made a guide? In any case, that entry should be "updated" for Redundancy, because we get that question a lot, and the more places we say "Actually, it can work, if you do x" the better. Especially as this is probably the most important post, being the main Sexout OP.
prideslayer Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Updated OP to reflect the dance/pose issue with an explanation and a link.
BruceWayne Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Updated OP to reflect the dance/pose issue with an explanation and a link. I've added a note to reflect that there might be mods out there with which this solution doesn't work. But I'm fairly certain that out of the top mods that only add poses, there is none that actually have more changes to the default animations than KnockedDownIdles.
prideslayer Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 I believe the one I tested a week or so changed a different one, but now I can't remember. It was that PC only idles thing, if you want to check it out. Replaces the 'standing around' idles for the player to make them more NPC like, alternating between arms folded, hands on hips, etc.
