One of three things.

1. You have installed a 3rd party male body incorrectly.

2. You have installed then uninstalled a 3rd party male body incorrectly.

3. You did not turn on archive invalidation in FOMM.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to say this; please redirect me if appropriate.

I would like to see an option in the MCM to allow the user to preset the FOV when

in flying camera mode during sex animations. The default Fallout FOV is 75, which

is a good all around setting for navigating through the game world. For close up viewing,

however, it causes ugly 'barrel' distortion. I suppose if people are used to watching low

budget porn where they use wide angle lenses all the time it isn't so noticeable, but the

characters and animations look so much better with a FOV of 40 to 50. I use FOV 40

about 90% of the time, unless I'm in a really tight space, in which case I use FOV 50.

So I'm lazy, and hate to keep setting the FOV in the console, but I think other users

would appreciate the difference an FOV adjustment would make if they saw it; certainly

from the typical screenshots I see most users don't have a clue about the visual effects

one can get from 'changing the camera lens' with the FOV.

Oh note that I cannot GET the current fov, so you're going to have to enter two values in MCM -- the standard FOV, and the sex FOV. I'll default standard to 75 but people who play with something else will have to adjust it in MCM or it'll go to 75 (and not what they had set it to) when the sex act is over.

 Cool!

I took a really hard look at some different FOV settings a few minutes ago.

My suggestion - limit the adjustment range from 40 to 75; anything much below

40 is really cumbersome (too touchy), going above 75 looks like a drug trip gone

bad. 50 is a good all-around setting for indoors and outdoors, 40 is probably best

for outdoors or larger interior spaces.

Well I'm not going to change the defaults from the game defaults.. that always causes more headaches than it solves. As for the ranges, I'd let them go from 0 to 359 if I didn't think people would actually do it and then complain. I might let them do it anyway but show a "You're about to be really unhappy.." type message. I'm not a big fan of limiting other people to just the options that I think are good/nice/cool. If they work and don't crash, I think they should be open. :)

No, I wasn't suggesting changing the FOV for The Whole Game :P

As far as the settings ranges go, I think the image of a coil of rope

and the phrase "Have fun..." would suffice.

Anyway, this should be a treat for all those budding Larry Flynt's of the Wasteland :D

Pardon me for not remembering, but if you're not a modder yourself, an FOV adjustment mod is just about the perfect thing to get started with if you'd like to give it a try. A simple script with hotkeys to increase/decrease FOV would be pretty simple to write, and help those directors/producers even more.. ;)

I'm having the same issue.

I have never downloaded a male body besides the one that came with this mod and I have archive invalidation turned on.

I am however using the NMM instead of FOMM. Does that matter?

I figured it out. Really stupid of me to forget to download the data file...

I just wanted to point out that the link to the NVSE Extender 11+ seems to be broken or needs to be updated as all you get is the Sorry, we couldn't find that! when you click the link.

I only use NMM for skyrim, but it works fine there, so I don't *think* that's the issue, but it might be. If you've never used FOMM for FONV you'll have to uninstall all your mods and reinstall them with FOMM.

Give me the link to the thread/file. I had the old one I knew of deleted yesterday, dunno why people kept clicking it. The correct link should have v11 and v12, and you should pick v12 unless you have a very good reason not to.

Both of them are FOMODs as well; the previous ones were zip/7z files, so you'll know if you're in the wrong place if the download link isn't a fomod.

If have never done any scripting... so I'll be doing a bit of research first.

I don't think NMM should be an issue. I switched over fully to NMM just before installing Sexout and the only issues I've had are from load order oddities.

@Ginganinja: did you TOGGLE Archive Invalidation? I've found with NMM, when I install any texture-replacing mods I need to switch AI off and back on or else weirdness happens.

Also, double-check to see if there's actually a texture in the relevant folder. 'Cause when  something's invisible it generally means that the texture has decided to go walkabout. The mesh is okay since your guy isn't a giant floating red exclamation mark drilling the girl - although that's probably someone's fetish.

....
On The Download Page:

For v12+: nstall the latest ALPHA of NVSE. As of now, that is NVSE V4 beta 1, available here.

Extender BETA Version: 12b2

Prideslayer, you might want to update the NX download page to reflect that NVSE 4 is no longer Alpha and perhaps stop calling your v12 a beta (or adding what you said above about choosing it)- because I suspect it sounds scary to casual users so they pick the old one

Posted

Good. I want them to be scared. Terrified in fact. ;)

Kidding but.. hell NVSE itself is still 'beta' and probably always will be. FOMM hasn't even had a 1.0 release, ever.

I'll get it taken care of.. :)

Hhaha no.

SCR is SCR. It provides resources to mods that don't "belong" in sexout itself. Many of them require it.

For a short time there was an alternative I made, smaller, called SSR. It came with sexout. It is removed and discontinued.

In my sig there are some links. One is to a tutorial on how to create a resource folder with the needed files to use SCR. You need to download the correct SCR. (Stable or Beta) and then created the resource folder. If there are files that you mess up or can't get that is ok. Currently only problem you will have is floating heads or red triangles with exclamation marks in them.

SCR doesn't do much by itself it references those files you added for it.

My advise is to find a few mods that don't require SCR and do some playthough first with just Sexout. Then when you are satisfied that Sexout is working properly then add SCR/ SCR resources and the mods that you desire that require SCR. Test a little more on the game make sure it is working correctly then start a fresh game and enjoy. It takes a but of time to set up properly and test but once it has been ironed out it is the best option for sex mods in FNV.

Prior to creating the scr archive I need to install SCR stable or beta, right?
