gaggedgirl123 Posted January 16, 2014 Author Posted January 16, 2014 I know, but most people who are irritated by Skyrim's economy usually run mods to rebalance it. Hell, the one I ran sold an iron sword for about... I think it was around 400 gold. That's near double the vanilla steel sword.
xboronx Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Whilst I have got to agree with the "make hard choices" to get back on your feet again idea there is one thing in Skyrim that makes all "Hard Choices" irrelavent in that scenario Chopping wood Just one hour of chopping wood will net you enough to set you up with a decentish armor and weapons loadout. I have used a few prostitution mods and gave up on the because of this massive unbalance. I know you can just not chop wood for septims and in the same way you can not go back for your gear and just think of it as destroyed but then this hardly feels like peril when you are making a choice to make it worse. Hm there i am strong enough to follow my houserule to never use this or alchemy to gain money. But if possible it's always better if a mod doesn't lead you into temptation and mercilessly enforces the hard choices imho. The prostitution mods i managed to set up in a way that it is not profitable enough, a shift of prostitution will earn me about 300-400 septims, but i have to pay 100-200 for a night in the inn and at least 50 for food/drink.
Pfactor Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Maybe this is the right place to put this.. being a thread about capture & slavery.. But I just randomly found this http://skygaggedrim.deviantart.com/art/Taken-part-2-424902346?q=gallery%3Askygaggedrim%2F42460163&qo=7 I hope these are animations and not frozen poses.

It was a case of find the flaw quest the reward was a cash cow. I think I will just have to be tough on myself once this awesome mod arrives ( not rushing you, just waiting anxiously) and follow a set of rules that would round out the peril and recovery. Maybe a mod that blunts all the axes would be handy

You picked my curiosity in there. I might just have to find which animation this is, and try to use them. I'll probably only know once I scripted the whole thing, since I don't know any mod that actually use it I know, but most people who are irritated by Skyrim's economy usually run mods to rebalance it. Maybe a mod that blunts all the axes would be handy Yeah well, Skyrim is such a huge game, it's a really tough game to balance. I honestly mostly do exploring and quests, and I usually find myself having money problems until I'm around level 30, so in my case, these economy mods really make things tough. But for some other people, it's just about, as you said, finding a flawed quest and milking it And don't hold your breath, the encounter is far from finished. I think I might have something ready by the end of february, but even then I'm not sure. I definitely don't have a lot of time to work on it. If it arrives sooner, then all the better, but I doubt that's gonna happen
Justoutthere Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Appreciate the update and tbh would rather see later and polished than rushed and borked

Those look great, but my guess would be those are just poses . I think you should post this screenshot in the "what mod is this" thread though, maybe we are lucky and those are animations from some japanese modders.
Pinute Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 But if possible it's always better if a mod doesn't lead you into temptation and mercilessly enforces the hard choices imho. There's a mod for that! Less Pay for Firewood changes the global JobWoodValue. You can even set it to 1g per.

I all seriousness tho 10 g for a night in tavern (equivalent to low cost motel/bed & breakfast level) real world eqivalent around £20 (sorry I am a Brit ) gives a cost of £2 for a piece of wood. If you could set that as 1g per bundle of wood that would be reasonable but still way too high.

bleeb Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Actually I thought about putting it in an egg sack near the place where you'll be wrapped up. No matter what it is you wear. I'll have to break immersion on that one a little, as some people are using unique/rare stuff and I don't want to destroy it the egg sack sounds like a great solution, also gives you something to look at in fear lol

Realistic Room Rentals? It is pretty great, and combined with Frostfall and RND, as well as Trade and Barter, I do not find myself flush with cash for quite some time. Plus, if I lose a battle and end up stripped, it means I am in dire straits and probably will need to resort to theft and/or prostitution to re-equip. Which of course will make decisions like 'should I risk going in to get my stuff back?' all the more poignant.
gaggedgirl123 Posted January 17, 2014 Author Posted January 17, 2014 As a challenge, play this with "beeing female" and "Sexlab STDs". It makes even prostitution a risky deal

It makes even prostitution a risky deal am waiting for "Beeing Female to update more, so no name can make females pregnant, As for Sexlab STDs am still on the wall for that, after all it doesn't work with Beeing female yet, as a client can be wearing a Condom and still get my PC pregnant type of thing, also there is no vanilla pregnant armor, and of course being able to wear Heavy armor while pregnant should be a No, after all Metal is pre-shaped, but for Cloth, Hide and leather armor should be ok to wear while pregnant

Now of course, that's if you don't mind CBBE's level of skimpiness

gaggedgirl123 Posted January 17, 2014 Author Posted January 17, 2014 Just as a side note, you think doing escort mission are annoying to do? try CODING one! Anyways, back in my cave. Haven't seen the light of day today, tried to code this goddamn quest all day and the game still won't recognise a quest stage change!
gaggedgirl123 Posted January 18, 2014 Author Posted January 18, 2014 [PROGRESS UPDATE] FINALLY! That bitch of an introduction quest is FINISHED! That means I only have 2 almost-instant triggers to work, then I'm moving on the the actual meat of the encounter! On another hand, I'm starting to understand why companies make 5 hour games in a full year! That intro quest is only as long as getting from point A to point B, and it took me a whole day + a few evenings lol

This makes it even more admireable when sometimes hobby modders produce alone or with a small team outstanding mods which are almost like a full game.

Yeah, stuff like Nehrim for Oblivion is quite a miracle lol. Actually, I realized it's not that complicated. My problem was that upon entering a certain place, the quest didn't switch from stage 10 to 20, despire my scripts telling it to. This prevented any further dialogue and quest advancement. Instead, I just made the dialogue contidionnal, and added the objective in the quest to talk to him once you're there. A bit more combersome on the player, but sometimes the game hates you lol. It's just about finding workarounds (I was actually making a goddamn novel with my scripts trying to fix it, an it never worked lol) DONT GIVE UP! IT'S SO SATISFYING WHEN IT FINALLY WORKS! Oh, BTW, I'm sorry for the harsh language today. It's the CK that got me this way haha
Justoutthere Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Dont know if you ever resolved your Spider hybrid but http://www.loverslab.com/topic/19572-monster-girl-coc-14-plaguepatch-27112013/ has some interesting stuff including if I am reading it correctly two versions of a Spider Hybrid and a future Male Spider Hybrid. Appologies if this is the mod referred to earlier in this thread Mt bad thats Oblivion not Skyrim, but still may give some ideas says me desperately
anolbee Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Stormcloaks, lowlifes and beggars, housecarls, jarls, Silver Hands, miners, orc villagers, wandering rapists, wolves, bears, mudcrabs, sabre cats, horkers, rieklings, horse stable owners, dragons, volkihar vampires and hammerfell warriors.... well, too many?
