Vault_Girl Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 This looks interesting, cant wait for the full version!
modhunger Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 awesome work! I never dreamed of this mod coming true! thank you guys' hard work however, I thought everyone want the humanoid captor scene on top of the worklist
bleeb Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 just curious, but will you be doing the whole Draugr wrapping thing too? or are you going in a completely different direction with this one? At this point I'm still sort of working out the intersection of what the creation kit will let you do versus what I can make it do (it took a couple of days for me to add a static model of my own making, without it floating away whenever you got near it, for example), so I can't really commit to everything mentioned so far. But, in general, Draugr in the future: yes. Being wrapped up and trapped in a sarcophagus: not averse to this, but think it would need new animations to be worthwhile. Becoming a Draugr: probably beyond me at the moment. ahh ok, I was just curious. no rush at all, it was one of the things I was interested in seeing. no worries on becoming a Draugr either, that part never interested me at least, so yeah.. I'm just in that bit for the wrapping part.

I know there is a set of draugr rags you can wear on Nexus, but you couldn't really call them restricting...
psikochik Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Ok, I'm in a big square cave with a spider wand and a trap door that won't open. I can't find a hidden chest anywhere. I'm not sure it triggered. and does this conflict w/ Apropos?

I'm not sure it triggered. and does this conflict w/ Apropos? Look around the rock on the floor where the dripping noise is loudest Under the part of the roof where there's a hole It doesn't conflict per se with Apropos, but they try and talk over each other. In the as-yet-unreleased version I temporarily suspend Apropos.
psikochik Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 It doesn't conflict per se with Apropos, but they try and talk over each other. In the as-yet-unreleased version I temporarily suspend Apropos. Thanks for the hint, I made it out.. the dripping sounds weren't audible, but I remembered the other marker. Suspending apropos makes sense, because it does throw up it's text, sometimes to the point that your text doesn't show up. A couple of bugs perhaps, that maybe spoilers too so... - When you are in the bindings you can open your inventory and just drop them to take them off. - This may have been mentioned before, but both SL Arousal and Aroused Creatures can bypass the pheromones, so you don't have to take them. Of course the spider doesn't suffer their effects either...and if it happens to die by other means there is no loot,.. ...which I don't know if there are plans to make it into a personal accessory vs a staff for use in getting out of other areas? - If you are out of the bindings you also have access to magic, so you could just take the spider out spoiling all Hjioriik's careful plans. I think Prison Overhaul uses a collar that will stop that.. So far it's very nicely put together, and I'm looking forward to further misadventures.
Quisling Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Yeah, the SL Aroused/Aroused Creatures issue has been mentioned. I switch off arousal for the Spider(s) in the next version. I may have forgotten to set the bindings as unremovable in the extant version, but they should be so in the next. You can probably break Hjiorik's plans in a few ways, but in a sense, I would like to build in more along the idea that you're... well, not willing, but acquiescing to the things you're doing in getting deeper into trouble. I did toy with the idea of letting you have an out at certain stages, but doing so would not let you back in to find out what the entire plot is. But it's not really a hard choice, and in any case, Hjiorik needs the Dragonborn to get all the way through this probably more than he'll admit - so he'd let them back in anyway
Quisling Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Bleh, I was going to try and get something out this weekend, but CK started failing to compile scripts. Trying to solve that problem now... Fixed, but a few days wasted.

I know there is a set of draugr rags you can wear on Nexus, but you couldn't really call them restricting... true. I think the original idea was to re-texture the spider webbing cocoon with the bandage or linen wrap texture, to make it look like you're being/have been wrapped, that was posted ages ago though.
Quisling Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 OK, version alpha 0.2 is now here http://www.loverslab.com/topic/36252-wip-heroine-in-distress-alpha/
Jayleia Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 So...I know there's little chance of gaggedgirl working on this idea, but here's a vicious one that would basically eff Skyrim up for anyone who's interested in continuing the campaign...and it involves Elenwen... player is captured (either a combat or non-combat capture) and ends up in a prison run by our friendly neighborhood Elvish interrogator...she offers you a choice between killing a follower/spouse/major NPC (who gets captured off-screen if not with you when you're captured), or letting her...enjoy her work on that person. Now, at the beginning, there's options ranging between "No." and "Goddamn motherfucking hell no" And you get introduced to your accommodations, which have a convenient and very obvious escape method, forced labor with metalwork...can make all the lockpicks you need (but only a few per day, and lots of locks, all of which are master quality with major debuffs caused by some creative restraints)...of course after a few days of that, Elenwen finds all the picks you've made and confiscates them, resetting any locks you've broken and the material you made them with. She left them there to get your hopes up. (of course, I need another LESS obvious way to escape, so there's still a small chance at escape, I am, however, at a loss for how that would occur) Each day you get another conversation with Elenwen (about Elenwen, elves/human relations and yourself) and a conversation with your friend...and every day the dialogue changes...at first subtle hints, becoming more overt as time goes on that you are being influenced by some form of slowly advancing mind control, and every day your friend gets weaker and weaker...until they finally beg for you to kill them...you can keep refusing a bit more, but unless you've gotten the alternate escape almost ready, its basically game over by now. The last dialogue is a no-option linear dialogue with Elenwen "Yes, I'll do it" "Do what?" "I'll kill my friend" "Better...not quite" "I'll kill my friend for you" "Almost..." "I'll kill my friend for you, Mistress Elenwen" (scene of you killing friend) "Clean the blood off and come to my chambers quickly...slave Dovahkiin, I have some other...duties for you" "Yes, Mistress Elenwen" (this would effectively blow up the main questline in all the ways conceivable end any allegiances with any group and make all factions everywhere hate you forever, game over, start a new character or load from pre-capture, or...if you're really badass, you get to go around Skyrim with basically no friends at all except the Thalmor...the only safe bed in all of Tamriel for the Thalmor's Dovahkiin slave would be the cage in Elenwen's private chambers) What, you didn't think that obedience meant you'd be treated nicely, did you? But they will let you run around Skyrim...maybe with a Thalmor escort and possibly some restraints...but those restraints are only for Mistress Elenwen's entertainment, and you like to keep Mistress entertained, don't you?
Jayleia Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 And another idea, probably far less expansive, but maybe less doable...its something of a variation on the doppelganger. Except they steal your identity by literally stealing your face, leaving you an almost androgynous faceless creature, somewhat similar to the the japanese Noppera-bō (also applying crippling debuffs to skills and abilities, including Fast Travel since you don't even know where you're at and common use/speech options). A few NPCs in the town are set to react to you, some approach and offer to help, others seem frightened...but some who seem to want to help might not be the ones to try to get help from...while some who seem most frightened at first might be most willing to help. Bad ends would be being experimented on by "helpers" or convincing someone to help you get your face back...who gets killed in combat for you, or a sideshow monster. Hardcore mode would effectively trap you in that form forever (or until mod disabled) normal mode would, if your helper got killed, have someone else rescue the information to save you a few days after that.
gaggedgirl123 Posted October 5, 2014 Author Posted October 5, 2014 Ok, I might not be working on this anymore, but the good news is that I finally have an awesome computer, AND some time, even if I wished I had more. This means I'll probably end up working on a few smaller mods. HID was a bit of a big project, and while I'm glad to see it had generated so much passion and curiosity, I feel like I wouldn't have been able to give these ideas the care and dedication they require. Now that this has been taken over, I can focus on learning things right, and since I'm studying 3d modelling and animation, I might just be able to make some custom animations as part of practicing for my future career. TLDR: I'm not working on HID, but I'll be doing models and animations while learning 3D as part of my online classes
