BodySlide and Outfit Studio - out now!

This thing is amazing!

The only problem I'm having is converting CBBE armors that were made using a custom CBBE shape instead of a standard CBBE.

I'm able to convert them to CBBE Advanced just fine but they retain their original non-standard CBBE shape so when I apply any slider set to them the slider values are calculated based on this non-standard shape.

I'll keep an eye to the tutorials to see if I'm doing something wrong when converting old CBBE armors to bodyslide.

Umm  from what i understand  you have to delete the old  body..  Not  the reference  body  (CBBE Avanced  in your case) but you delete  it  from the  Outfit  potion  .. not  the one  with the  armor  but the underlying  body.. for  example  : if it  said  Skin  as one  part of the outfit  and  another as  a cuirass.. delete  the skin  one so you only have to worry about the  cuirass potion  fitting over  your new ref body.

I just  did  that myself  converting  the lustmord armor  and it  worked...

But  i  do have  a question to all of you out there.... My nifs  said  no image...   while i  was  editing  it   is  that  supposed  to be  right  while yer editing  the body  from the nifs?

I probably did not explain myself very well. When I say they retain the original shape, I'm talking about the armor itself.

For example, I tried converting the Taki - Huntress of darkness armor which is supposed to be CBBE. however it seems like it was converted directly from Soul Calibur without re-shaping it to CBEE. So when I convert the armor to CBBE Advanced and try to apply a slider set, the armor is previewed correctly and has no clipping but still retains it's original shape from Soul Calibur as a base.

When I talk about "shape", I'm not talking about any specific mesh but the overall armor shape.

This armor in particular clips so badly on a standard CBBE body it isn't even worth it to use the brushes. So I thought simply converting it do CBBE Advanced would work fine and it does but then again I'm unable to use my slider sets as they are on it since all values are calculated and scaled based on it's original shape, making it look completely different than any other armor using the same slider set.

Having strange problem with Ashara Princess of the Woods. Full weight version seems to work just fine, but the low weight one has leg and arm somehow confused which looks really freaky.

I followed this tutorial here. First time I thought I had just screwed up something, but I made sure I carefully followed each step and it came out same on each try.

I've attached the files here.

To fiddle around, I now also installed the Caliantes Vanilla Outfits for CBBE with the CB++ patch on top of it. It works just fine, but the number of Outfits that are in Bodyslide 2 is quite big. When I want to do a batch build for a select number of them, everything is selected by default and there is no way to deselect them as far as I know. This means that I have to deselect every Outfit I don't want to build by hand, one by one.

So not a huge issue, but more of a minor annoyance. Although I guess this can be a really big pain when you need to batch build quite often for whatever reason.

I am also still having no luck with fixing my issue as I described in http://www.loverslab.com/topic/24246-bodyslide-20-and-outfit-studio-out-now/?p=609313

Not trying to be demanding to you cell. You've been really patience with all of the questions that are thrown towards you and I don't want to imagine how it's like on the nexus site. Handling all of these questions while trying to fix bugs and make tutorials and whatever else you guys are doing must be tiring. I'll admit I don't envy you.

So I congratulate you guys on a job well done and hope that your minds' don't explode.

About the offset, try using the "Move Vertices" feature in Outfit Studio.

About the batch build selection, before you open it, click the search icon of the group filter and select the groups you want to build.

Batch building does seem like it's a lot clunkier than in Bodyslide '1'. Just putting in all categories and letting you enable/disable them all at once in there like you can in Bodyslide 1 but also allowing you to expand/collapse individual categories for additional changes if you so wish like you can now seems like it'd be the best of both worlds. Having to go to the group filter so much doesn't feel 'right'. But that's just me.

I honestly prefer the general layout of CB ++ in many ways, but I realize that a lot of that is just me having to get used to it.

I also dislike the group filter in general but I think that will get better once I actually learn the names of stuff I use a lot.

No to the problem/newbiness(dunno which it is yet) part. I'm trying to convert  my "armor" to BS with pregnancy compatibility. I conformulate all, and armor scales nicely with all the sliders in studio. Then when i start copying bone weighs, it works for some shapes from that "armor" mesh. Experted .nif opens nicely by nifscope, and i can see that new bones are added to those shapes. But after i copy weighs to other shapes, nifscope starts to throw:

About the offset, try using the "Move Vertices" feature in Outfit Studio.

About the batch build selection, before you open it, click the search icon of the group filter and select the groups you want to build.

I was trying that feature earlier (after making my previous post), but it didn't seem to work. Since you said that was what I needed to do, I tried it again and... it worked!

So yea... not sure what went wrong last time. I don't think I did something different with this attempt compared with the previous one, but apparently I must have. Either way, it's working now. Thanks a lot.

The group selection, I didn't even know was there. I see how that works now. Although it does seem a bit counter intuitive, but that might be just me being too used to the old way.

Yes, easy. In the "Load Reference" dialog, just choose the *.nif file with the TBBP weights instead of an *.xml file (yes, you can select .nif files there).

Just a simple question. When i make a conversion, should i ask permission to the original creator?  I think that's depend if it's a personal use or a release. However, a topic on conversion with Outifit Otudio could be interresting to officialise work of everybody. it's just an idea...

NEW TUTORIAL for copying (T)BBP or similar weights available now.

If you want to release it, you'll have to ask. Personal use is fine (but I think even uploading images of the "personal use conversion" isn't allowed without permission then, that's in the Nexus rules exactly like that).

Are you using the latest version (2.0.0.10)?

Yes. Latest one. Never had 09b installed.

Same happens using "CBBE advanced" template. So it's not that preg-scaling body's fault. (Btw, is it actually needed? CBBE advanced has this preg slider too?)

Send Caliente a PM with the .nifs you're trying to convert and a description of what you're doing. Yes, that mod is needed for in-game belly scaling.

I don't know if this would be possible or if this is the best place to post suggestions but I guess I can leave this here.
Would it be possible to implement sliders to the "move vertices" and "offset shape" functions so that you can visualize where things are actually moving? Some armors have a lot of pieces you need to move individually and it sometimes becomes really confusing.

im confused it supports unpb conversions but where am i soposed to get the file for step

"9.) Use "Load Reference" again and manually select the "BodySlide/ConversionSets/7BConvert.xml" file. Then, select the "7B High->Low" slider set in the list below.
Note: This is the official 7B_1.nif body shape including correct texture alignment."

when i use nif form unbp installer or b3lisario's UNPB BBP Pregnant Body it gives me no sliders :(

*.nif files don't have sliders, only *.xml slidersets. You have to select the UNPB sliderset that's included instead. The body can be switched out with your .nif later before exporting the .nif.

I tried to follow the tutorial "anything to anything" to get vanilla to cbbe but it ends up being a complete mess every time. Is there a different tutorial for that or am I just doing something very wrong?

Oh wait never mind I had outfit selected when clicking set base shape instead of the body. I think this was the cause.

Why are you opening it nifskope?

And do you get the same issue with these attached meshes? I would imagine there is a problem due to the skull nipple rings not correctly attaching to anything... for me anyway.

Alright. I'm not really getting anywhere here.

I tried my luck on converting one of the "Edhildils Skimpy Clothing and Armor" outfits.

Fiddled around with it on my own. Things looked good and seemed well, but when actually in the game I get weird looking textured and large neck seams.

Now I saw that "CBBE to CBBE BodySlide" tutorial, so I wanted to give that a try but here I'm already halted at step 4. Delete the Body Shape.

I simply can't. I highlight the body shape and select delete shape and nothing happens. At least I can't see anything happen. it certainly doesn't seem like anything is getting deleted here.

Been trying to convert vanilla to cbbe for last 30 minutes just no idea what to do. I made the high weight one, or well the end result just looked exactly like vanilla so I don't know if I even did anything. Now I try to convert this to the low weight one but I don't know what to do. When I open the CBBE high -> low what next?

Alright. I'm not really getting anywhere here.

I tried my luck on converting one of the "Edhildils Skimpy Clothing and Armor" outfits.

Fiddled around with it on my own. Things looked good and seemed well, but when actually in the game I get weird looking textured and large neck seams.

As written in the tutorial, you have to highlight the body shape that came with the outfit.nif file, NOT the reference shape that's all the way at the top. When you load a reference and an outfit, there will be two body shapes inside of the project. You only need one, hence the deletion process. :)

After loading the CBBE High -> Low reference and the high weight version of your converted outfit, do "Slider -> Conform All", set the slider to 100% and do "Slider -> Set Base Shape". (clipping here is totally normal!)

The last step is to load in the "CBBE Low -> High" reference again using "File -> Load Reference" and to export it using "File -> Export .Nif". :)

You might also copy the weights again.
