DarkZephyr Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 I was just wondering if it was possible to make a compatibility patch for SOS to work with the lastest version of Better Vampires? I think SOS may interfere with its scripts or something, because when I have SOS installed at the same time as BV I am unable to get all of the spells. Thanks in advance! I've been using BV and SOS together without any issues for quite a long time. I see the SOS spells and all BV spells available depending on your vampire level. You didn't specify which spells were missing: the SOS erection spells (which aren't needed anyway when using with SexLab) or the vampire spells provided by BV. Remember also that the some of the BV spells don't appear until after your first bite (Vampire Natus - very first level) and other vamp spells only appear when obtaining the other BV vampire levels. I don't get absolutely ANY of the BV spells when I have SOS activated. One of the first spells you get is Vampire DraIn. That never shows up, and neither do any of the others. Other aspects of the mod work, I can drink blood, extract blood potions from my victims if I have the settings for that selected, I can even achieve the first vampire level. I just CAN'T get the spells, which for me is the best part of the mod, especially the ability to make other vampires. I wish I could get my install to work with SOS and BV together as you seem to. Oddly I CAN get them to work together IF I become a vampire BEFORE I have SOS activated. Then I can activate SOS and everything works as it should, its weird. But if I want to start a fresh new game I have to disable SOS first, start my new game, become a vampire and then reenable it. I wish I didn't have to go through that to make them work together.

iBot27 Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 I was wondering if it was possible to make the flaccid penis, smaller. I'd like to add more variety but seeing that lowest value is still pretty lengthy I was just wondering if it's possible to have a smaller flaccid penis. I have tried the S.O.S. Racemenu plugin in but it seems to work only for a specific position in the flaccid to erect growth stage. I tried using the plugin and changing the size for each stage but it always goes to back normal size for some reason. Thanks in advance.
HiColonic Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 EDIT: Regarding my invisible body issue, I fixed it by reinstalling Skyrim using the S.T.E.P Legendary install instructions. My Skyrim install was from launch, so needed to be done, no doubt, and I've been wanting to switch from NMM to Mod Organizer anyway. Very professionally done mod -- thank you for sharing!

Setekh Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Your unofficial patches don't seem to be in the right place, should be underneath each esm. What are you using to manage the load order? Do you have LOOT?
Herrmannesque Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 I'm having a strange problem with the latest version of NMM and installing SoS. NMM keeps crashing on me before the SoS installer starts. It's very bizarre. It worked before, and also older versions of SoS but not now. The installer also worked with MO. Any suggestions for a workaround?
criswolf09 Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 I always advice to use LOOT to sort the load order of your mods, and it is very important to swap NMM for Mod Organizer. Those two steps will make you skyrim experience way more stable. It worked for me at last.

It's very bizarre. It worked before, and also older versions of SoS but not now. The installer also worked with MO. Any suggestions for a workaround? If that's the only mod it's crashing on, try redownloading SOS. I just installed latest SOS with latest NMM and had no issues at all. If you are having problems installing other mods, then maybe NMM needs a reinstall, or time to switch to MO if you want. ...and it is very important to swap NMM for Mod Organizer... If the SOS download was bad, then switching to MO is useless (the problem will still occur with it). Telling people to switch to MO without knowing the actual cause of the problem is useless, and since I installed SOS using NMM with no problem, it is not an NMM general issue. I do suggest people use MO if they feel more comfortable with it, but it is not necessary to make mods work in Skyrim.

criswolf09 Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 You can get LOOT here: https://github.com/loot/loot/releases/tag/v0.6.0 and you can get Mod Organiser here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1334/? but it's not mandatory as pointed before. If you want more technical details or guides to get smother gameplays, you should check these links, they're useful and helped me improve my games' stability: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31499/? / http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53790/? / http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57230/?. Now in another topic, I'd like to kno if somebody has or have seen a retexture of the horsecock addon in brown? I can't find it.

I got the game working with some mod downloads and load order re-order lol, though now I want to sort out all the SOS stuff and it looks completely complicated, as MO doesn't have any info on how the SOS components should be ordered. Any advice on what I need and what install order I should put them in?
criswolf09 Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Look for the sort button in the plugins tab of MO, it will auto sort your mods.
sqweloookle Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Dammit, I was in the middle of filling the chalice for the vampire quest and the game crashed. Any thoughts? Oh by the way SOS devs, the Dark Elf race is not included in the SOS race models... Could you look into it?
Jezzerat Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 NMM is not nearly the monster everyone tries to make it out to be, as long as you pay attention to your overwrites. And even if you do screw up your overwrite, it's easily undone, because uninstalling a mod restores the files it overwrites, so you can try again.

Setekh Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 You don't have the SMPC compatibilty patch for USKP. (Also, stop using SMPC, it's a terrible and badly made mod that makes questionable changes and pretty much undoes a lot of the fixes that USKP makes.) If you insist on keeping it though then you need the overwrite patch. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D19&pUp=1

He just told you. Either uninstall it or use the patch. Preferably uninstall it, because SMPC only exists as a "Fuck You" to the USKP, because its author and Arthmoor got into a pissing match.

I'd stop spreading FUD on a random thread. The SMPC overwrite patch is unneeded. I'd disable Bethesda's High Res .esp though, I've had nothing but issues with them.

SMPC is poorly thought out and will wreck your game. That's not FUD, it's observed fact. Even TES General dropped SMPC from their list of mod recommendations.
sqweloookle Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Okay. I've taken out SMPC. Oh and the HighRes packs. I'm using only MO now. 2 questions, it seems MO doesn't recognize that my ZIP file for SOS has all it needs in it and so won't install it? Help. Second question how come SOS main mod is not on Nexus?
criswolf09 Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 SOS was removed from Nexus when B3lisario took care of the mod and hosted here in LL I guess.
