mmm, so...I installed 4.04fixed (full install) over 4.02r... MCM menu is blank.. no more option for CD submenu..

it's only my problem?.. I did something wrong?

BUG: The MCM options are still invisible for me on v4.04.

​EDIT:

​To get my MCM menu back I did the following which works but not sure about any consequences yet:

• Installed 4.04 Full
​• Installed 4.02 MCM Update OVER 4.04

​MCM options with the CD menu now show up.
 

 

​What is going on with this MCM, obviously we shouldn't have to install a 4.02 fix over a 4.04 fix?

OK so I've try the 4.04 during several hour and I have several question /remarks :

- Is it normal to have no indication at all for the assist a VIP customer ? I went thru all the quest without any quest indicator (everything go smoothly so it's not really an issue as long as I follow all instruction). Also after finishng the sesson and getting back my stuff, master consider that I still have a job and every reset doesn't change anything

-  The belt isn't equip during the free trial, I get all the stuff but that (already have the issue with two previous version and different cleave save / PC)

- When enslave by spouse, I dd'nt get anybelt (depsite buying it). Also the boudn session never end (I have to use MCM, which work fine).

 

Despite those minor issues the mod is great, I reaaly enjoy taking care of Elisif and the Spouse slave idea.

You reverted the localized MCM to the unlocalized.

And it's usually not safe to use older scripts with newer mod versions or vice versa.

Yes, I am reinstalling as I write to see if I have missed an instruction or something. I will post back with the result.

You answered the question yourself and showed that you simply skipped the message in the installer that contains informations regarding this.

iv been playing for a while now and the quests in the thalmor embassy works great except for the zaz furnitures, the player and one npc get in all of those except for the wooden pole in that room incorrectly and by that i mean they are placed slightly sideways or to far into the furniture..oh and the x cross in the next cell (where you can save) have the same thing.. might be something on my side but ill say it anyway just in case :)

Nope I didn't, I used the .esp in the BASE folder and did not install the .esp in the Unlocalised folder

 

 

Another Bug (mining slave related):

 

​When you return to the CD mine after being asked to go collect some ebony ingots from some Orc... if you don't do it and come back without the ingots... upon entering the mine the Overseer asks you why you didn't get the ingots the dialogue then offers 2 options of "..." 1 causes the dialogue to loop over and over again, the other terminates the force greet and then there is no way to end the mission and continue the mining slave quest.

I read the warning, used a save cleaner and didn't find any CDxMCM script to remove. The menu is still not showing up. In any case, I updated from v4.00, not v4.04.

And for everyone who tries to clean save, of which there are some misconceptions for Skyrim, here the only partitially verified method:

save game cleaner

 

in case you use the one i linked to:

  1. load your save game
  2. click on "mod editor"
  3. find the mod you want to remove and mark the ckeckbox left from it
  4. click on "Delete selected mods forms" and on "Delete selected mods scripts" then close this window
  5. then click on "Del. broken activities" and "Advanced" -> "Remove scripts attached to nonexisting forms" then close this window
  6. click on save and quit the cleaner
  7. disable the mod, if you haven't already
  8. fire up your game
  9. load your cleaned save
  10. if loading the cleaned save fails, open the concole in the main menu and enter "coc qasmoke", let everything finish and load your save from there
  11. wait a minute and save your game again then quit the game
  12. fire up the save game cleaner again and repeat steps 5 & 6 but enhance step 6 by clicking on "Remove scripts having invalid variables" too and save
  13. Fire up the game and load your save, wait 1 minute and save again. in case of Skyrim, that's the actual clean save - this very last step.

Just disabling a mod, loading the game, wait and save will not rid the save game of a mod as it did for previous Beth games.

 

And last but not least: it's best to be in an interior before uninstalling/updating a mod. Best one with no NPCs and best even w/o any followers.
This lowers the risc of being unable to load the save after disabling/updating a mod.

It works fine when starting a new game, but I'd prefer not to have to start a new game just to get one mod's MCM menu to work again. There must be an easier way.

i just noticed that the message contains a misinformations.

You need to remove CDxMCMMenu, because ... well ... it's the MCM menu script.

I should probably also mention I went through the process of this upgrade to fix the "Hold on a moment" dialogue bug with the Master shop which as of this savegame doesn't seem to have been fixed :C

You can still clean your save entirely from CDS, keeping the rest of your save game intact.

Because we can't gurantee that your save game doesn't suffer from old scripts that might have been changed in the mean time.

Hello,

 

first I want to say "thank you Veladarius" for the nice mod.

I have a little problem, maybe someone can help me? Currently i play the mod with my char as property slave. My current task is to find Rayani. To make it short, i can't find her. I tried to speak with the Innkeeper, but she said only that she hasn't seen the courier (the one who was together with rayani i gues) in a while. Also i have no active quest or quest marker. Any hint for me?

 

There are only a few places where a giant's camp and a small dwemer ruin with no bandits are located and only a few cities near those.

Hey vel,

 

first of all great mod of course, i mean look at the commotion it has caused over the past few months :)

ive run into a problem though, im not sure if it has been mentioned in the overload of comments in the last few days, but youll have to forgive me for not skimming through all that.

So the first few days after initial release it worked like a charm, then without changing anything in load order or adding/removing any mods it now CTD's on nearing the shop area (about the range of halfmoonmill in a 360 radius). I had hoped the new release would fix it but sadly it hasnt.

 

Anyone knows what might cause this?

Are you using any mods that change the area around the shop? If so it is likely a conflict between the navmeshes. I have set mine to overwrite the ones from Skyrim and use the same ID so if another mod adds something such as a door or something to the affected navmeshes it will likely crash. The only other change has been the change in the location area considered to be the shop, it was increased so you didn't have to be as close to it for it to detect it. It does not overlap with the one from the mill or any of the others around it as the radius is still within the shop area.

The defective installer left helpful notes about the textures ("your modder didn't include something") and choosing the vanilla textures (with descriptions)

worked.

I figure maybe you knew that, and after reading I think I'll stick with the original 4.04.

And now my question:

If a person chooses the lowest textures available, is that a better choice than the highest ones?

I never ever understood that option in any installer, but I would *think* that it makes the game less crash-prone.

My video-card is a model from 2012 and only has 2GB of Vram.

i have no clue what you mean with "original 4.04" because there is only one version 4.04.

it's only the installer that was fixed so the texture option for 2k optimzed textures works as intended.

 

2GB VRAM is enough to have everything plastered with 1k textures if those are optimized. Unoptimized not so much.

why the fu..freaking *installer* choice? I don't care if they've been optimized, the choice should maybe state that x is good for everyone,

x-high is good up to this amount of vram

x-ultra is for crossfire-SLI and (eg) 4gb RAM.

if they *have* been optimized, the point gets moot because they'll work regardless.

 

 

Texture resolution and what size to use really depends on your hardware and running out will either slow things down, cause odd things to happen (dropped/missing textures) or crash it. I use several different resolutions depending on what they are for. Landscape and most things I use 1k textures, bodies I use 1k - 2k textures. LOD I use 512k since my enb's lod slightly blurs them anyway.

 

Optimizing textures helps as it keeps them more uniform and easier for the video card and game to handle. It can help when you are getting towards the limit of your card.

 

If you want an indicator as to how far you can push your graphics resolution use something like the Skyrim Performance Monitor so you can see the VRAM usage, generally I target 80%.

 

As for why include the info, there are people who are really picky about the textures and how they are set up (4k resolution ore chunks anyone?).

Downloaded the 4.04 fix version. It installed correctly on the newest NMM, but wouldn't install on the old 0.59.xx version. Guess I have to upgrade on that computer...

Anyway: I have the same problem with the property slave quest as before (4.00 to 4.03): when playing a rebellious slave, I progress down to level 3 (chained to the post attracting customers). After that, I get transferred back to the mine and at that point the quest bugs out. Herran/Raccan (?) leaves through the gate, which closes after him. My PC tries to follow but can't of course. I never get controls back. Neither does Herran return in the morning. Resetting idles / enabling controls does nothing. Macius doesn't want to talk to me or put me in the cage.

Is there a fix for this?

 

Sounds like the end of day didn't process correctly and run the scene, I though I had this taken care of. I will look into it tonight.

 

Edit: was missing command for function to put you away for the night, it was still using an older command which doesn't do much anymore.

I have a weird, but repeatable, CTD whenever I tell the Master that I don't want to take Erani into my house -- The character doesn't need more responsibility, damnit. :P

 

I've tracked the CTD down to the script that runs when CDxExpQuest04 enters stage 400, specifically the call to 'eranimanor.SetEraniReference()'.

However, if I insert a call to utility.wait(2.0) immediately before this line, the quest completes successfully, so it looks there's possibly a race condition between starting the quest and setting up the vars.

 

Oddly, and I'm not sure if this is correct, Erani then leaves the guest house and starts wandering over the bridge and heads in the direction of Falkreath or RIverwood.

 

 

ETA

And now it's CTDing again.  But two seconds later.  I'll do some more digging.

 

This command: 'eranimanor.SetEraniReference()' should set up Erani to work in the manor as the other maids do. She shouldn't be wandering off anywhere as her AI markers are set to the Manor house (or at least should be). It may be that they are not being set to their positions first and she is trying to get to their location in a cell that is not connected to the world (my npc holding cell).

 

I will add this to what I am looking into tonight.

It doesn't use quest markers but it should end once you are paid, I will look into this and see if it is being skipped somehow.

 

The belt issue is likely with the equip script functions, I will be rebuilding them soon.

 

The devices for the Chaste Spouse are not given directly but are accessed through the dialogue. If you are the slave they will decide when to use it and if you have multiple finishes which to use. The bound session has a base time of 4 hours in game + 1 hour per demerit. Demerits also determine what items your spouse will make you wear, the higher it is the more items you get.
