and writing the new text for the main page.

thats always the most annoying part for me. im just getting bored really quickly from designing a forum post thats both informational and pleasant to look at especially when i need to make new graphics or screenshots for it... and write the changelog :(

 

 

The change log is easy, everything has changed in some way as far as quests go. V4 is nearly a complete rewrite on the quests.

well my personal problem is that i make my mods for personal use primarily so i always change stuff on the fly during gameplay and when i changed a lot or a bug needs to be fixed i release a new version online and have to compare the forum post with the code to remember what i changed. but im only modding c# games like terraria and stardew valley so nothing major ^^ sry for the off topic conversation xD

 

edit: btw u know that dd integration got an update right? thats not gonna influence the development right?

The update to DDi was primarily to correct animation issues, the beta that was released a little while back had some engine changes but they have not shown any issues during testing with it.

Really looking forward to the solitude quest. Was a *little* disappointed with how that went when I first did it... Kind of expected to see Elasif @ CD begging Master for the key. Will be interested to see what you have in store.

Will 4.0 "support" more than one follower or is it designed like 3.4 with only one follower in mind?

 

Right now it isn't really designed for any followers currently, I can't get a reliable enough way to detect them and to keep them from wandering off.

I am fairly sure that Embassy is also a "new content", Vel remade that part :D

The embassy quest line will be optional as far as I know, meaning you can almost instantly jump into the new stuff.

The embassy quest line will be optional as far as I know, meaning you can almost instantly jump into the new stuff.

 

I do hope so. It was an interesting quest the 1st time, but considering it was causing a LOT of CTD at the time (to be fair, mainly because of a bad setup on my part) it really wasn't enjoyable at the 3rd time.

Few things in response to some of the questions:

- The expansion has been reconfigured, none of the quests that had to be done are connected to it now, they are independent of it.

- The expansion can be left to start on its own and the buildings be built bit by bit or you can complete it immediately via the MCM menu

- None of the quests are required to be done, most all are disabled by default except the delivery quests. You will have to enable the quests you want to use.

- The quests from the original expansion have changed as follows:

---- Falkreath - completely rewritten

---- Embassy - start, ending and some dialogue rewritten. A small repeatable quest has been added. This quest is primarily used as a punishment now (if activated)

---- Solitude - completely rewritten

---- Windhelm - mostly rewritten

---- All still have the same themes to them

 

 

As for releasing this weekend, we will see. Some fixes have been made today, I have tested a few but others have not.

So just out of curiosity, would it be possible to link an eventual defeat of the player by the thalmor to the new deviant dungeon of the embassy? A defeat that could eventually lead to the captured dreams dungeons. I mean, they have all that equipment not being used by the player, it feels like a waste.

 

Or on a side snack, once the Embassy quest by CD is completed the played isn't targeted by thalmor for assassination but for capture. You know, because the ambassador may want to enjoy the player a bit more than she had. Which leads the player back in the embassy for a day or so of bondage play, then sent back to the Master with a little note "You may have lost your toy, because I found it in my house. Please be more considerate of your belongings.".

Slightly off topic buttt..... can I ask how you got into modding this? It's obviously a huge project and very complex and every time I look at Skyrim modding, even the wiki, it's a little overwhelming.

Also very hyped for the next version but it will come when it comes.

Start with a Youtube tutorial.

 

Search for Skyrim Creationkit Tutorial.

 

Most of the tutorials out there teach you how to install someone else's mod. No fun at all.

 

The Skyrim Wiki is another good place to start. It will step you through all aspects of modding.

 

Start simple - take baby steps. Captured Dreams is NOT a baby step.

I started out with the shop itself but all you could do was buy and sell DD items or look at the slaves on display. At that point I knew nothing about scripting so even getting the store to work was hard (it is one of the easiest things to actually do). After that I have added on bit by bit by setting out to do something small then taking another step from there. CreationKit.Com is the resource I use the most, I still use it now.

Think thats how most big mods start. Have something small like a shop then you go, hmmmm be cool if i added this aswell, repeat and it just keeps growing.
