You could also uninstall CDS and start a new game now.

So you can use that save when the update comes out.

 

All you need is a save that didn't have CDS previously installed.

Otherwise there is solution to start a new game and recover the biggest part of your progress. You have 2 useful console commands to level up your skills (incpcs and advpcs, use the ingame "help" function for the exact syntax for both. I find incpcs longer to use but easier to control). Use these commands to set them where you want. You character level will advance too alongisde perk points and monsters will auto-level after a few days. "Good" stuff will be available for looting, high level spells to buy and so on... You even have mods that allow to save and load your character face if you want exactly the same. Use an alternate start as the owner of a house if you want one.

 

Et voila, you have a nice bug-free new game+ set up in about 20-30 min.

The latest version works fine, they were able to fix the issues and updated it.

Hello, so, I like this mod, but lately I can't seem to get it to work.  Keeps stopping during scenes.  Tried the methods on the mod's page, i.e. resetting player idles, disabling controls, ensuring all mods that modify npc AI (that I know of) are disabled for the scenes, etc.  Still no dice though.  The scenes always stop once a character is about to get undressed - for example, for the Jarl quest, the scene stops after Siddgeir tells Nenya to strip, and in the "Assist a Customer" quest, it stops halfway through the PC stripping (stops without removing helmet, weapons, or jewelry).  Not sure how to fix it, so any help would be appreciated.

I'm having an odd issue with the Thalmor quest. I go through the introduction scene just fine, everything works fine until "Take her to the solar" dialogue. Fade to black only no scene transition, still in the lobby, player control enabled. It remains enabled until a ZaZ animation plays- IE- triggering sex with an NPC- then it immediately jumps to the next scene, but the animation indicated plays out, not the one that's supposed to. Any rough ideas of what might cause this hangup and how to get around it?

 

EDIT: It has to be an animation that affects my character, and it has to be Sexlab or Vampire feeding as far as I've discovered.

It is likely that the animation is causing the issue. I don't know why it has been playing them as I have the command to stop then from being used while the player's controls are disabled. All that I have been told about is that the command to keep it from happening has not changed but then again neither has mine and it worked just fine for quite a while. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about it as it is DDi that triggers is.

I think it was as well. Other than the holdup, the rest of the quest and the two quests thereafter worked fine, apart from a dragon deciding it was a nice to to fly overhead and aggro everyone upon my return to the shop from the embassy.

That seems to happen to people often but with Elenwen and Master there it does not usually live very long, both are rather powerful mages. The new version takes you directly into the shop.

Oh, it didn't stick around, that was the annoying part. It aggroed and ran away, and I had to wait for them all to de-aggro.

 

I'm guessing the new version is very new, since I jumped back into Skyrim about a month ago and redownloaded a bunch of mods, including this one.Loved the new quests, BTW.

Hey, sorry If I'm being completely foolish, but I'm looking for the ZAZ 6.2 version so that this excellent mod actually plays all the scenes without problems.

 

Oddly, I'm only seeing the v6.11 version posted - LL file/156-zaz-animation-pack-2016-03-31/

 

Could you provide a link to 6.2? Or is it just not released yet?

 

Also, I'm seeing references to v4 of Captured Dreams (hype!)

Between October to now I have 2700+ save files and the longest any have lasted is about 2 weeks before something changes enough that I have to start a new game. There is too much stuff that Skyrim saves. In the weeks that the full beta testing has been going I have made about 26 updates about 4 or 5 of which required a new game for the tester.

 

I am really curious, how do you deal with adjusting the MCM menu all over again? I have like 45+ of those atm and it takes me such a long time to adjust everything when I start a new game :)

V6.11 is fine, v6.10 was the version that was the problem.

Generally I keep a save made at the start of the game and use it but there are occasions that I have to do a completely new game and set all the MCM menu's again (I have about 50 of them). Usually the things that require a completely new game is changing of script property definitions, removing quests or changing AI packages (I usually just make new ones). Most of the new games have been from removing quests that were no longer being used and had been replaced with another one.

Thanks for the quick reply - looking back, I incorrectly installed the Zaz update so it was being overwritten by the old version.

 

I'm really looking forward to the next edition of CD!

Thanks for the reply Vel, so there is no simple way of starting the new game with tons of mcm menus xD

 

Recently I just recorded and made a video of the menus so when I start the new game I can just watch it and adjust it accordingly, which ofc will still take a long time :)

I hate doing it as well. The two big ones, SexLab and Cursed Loot, at least have save features in them. Most of the rest of the MCM menu's that I have to make changes to don't have many things that need changed its just that there are so many of them. I have done it enough that I remember all the settings for each one but it still takes about half an hour to make all the adjustments.

I was wondering if people had any recommendations for mods that go well with Captured Dreams. I'm really enjoying CD and the experience it offers and was wondering if anyone had any tips for mods that interact well with it? I mean I've got the obvious ones from LL like Cursed Loot but I was kinda wondering what mods people use with this. If that's not too off topic of course.

Deviously Helpless is made to work with CD, if you are caught by bandits triggered by it they will steal things like any deliveries you have on you.

I mean I've got the obvious ones from LL like Cursed Loot but I was kinda wondering what mods people use with this. If that's not too off topic of course. 

 

That can also depend on your play style.  For myself, with Cursed Loot I run things like FrostFall, Ineed (food/sleep requirements), and have dark nights (pretty much blind). which many don't due to its hard nature (freezing, having to camp overnight etc.). 

 

They don't tie in directly to CL, but they do make me camp, scrounge for food in barrels and such which all put me at risk in CL.  As I hate having to play stupidly in order to see a mods content (it's fairly easy to play CL safe), I like when it becomes part of the regular gameplay.  Which is why I loved CDs so unfair bandits catching you at the delivery point :P

 

 

So for Captured Dreams.  More direct tie ins.

 

Timing is Everything - very useful to stop vampires, dragonborn quest etc. threads from firing up and having a squad of vampire break your Cap D scene.

 

SlaveTats (+cane marks mod). Has cane and spanking marks if you want to add that after any punishment scene.

 

Alternate Start live another live (start from scratch in an pub, my fav choice).  Love barely having armor and trying to start the deliveries heh.

 

 

For more flavour type mods (spoilered for space). Personal taste.

 

 

First three are for hard gameplay and forced camping at night (so things like CL night ambushes can happen)

 

Frostfall (Campfire, Warmbodies)- Warmbodies helps with freezing to death during outdoor sex heh.  Can be finicky (sometimes have to disable due to freezing).

 

Ineeds -food water rest. 

 

RCRN- for dark nights.  

 

 

Feminized Level Lists - turns the random NPCs (like bandits) into mostly women.

 

Realistic rents - rent and food is expensive. (works well with CL solicitation... money for room rent heh).  And getting bound in CL (bad solicitation result) then carries on into CD :).

 

FNIS Sexy move - Adjustable, works well with the slaves as they walk.  Or servents in shop.

 

Fill Her Up - belly inflation.

Right now things are going pretty good overall. I have some dialogue to add and update, some of it just needs some conditions or extra options. The MCM menu needs options added in and the triggers for some of the quests need tweaked or simplified so they are more reliable.

 

 

As for DD and SexLab mods I am not running many currently and I have some suggestions regarding them in general. Here is what I have now (not including CD or its requirements):

As normal, any mods that start sex scenes should be temporarily disabled (hopefully they have an MCM option to do so) during any scenes, especially anything long term. Take caution with slavery mods as some consider anyone with a collar to be a slave and can interfere with quests.
