Ok, a little update on the matter.

I've read all the "lore" behind the app that were suggested.

From the papyrus strings, I'm actually quite high, my count is 53k, whereas the limit is 65k, so I'm in the process of making patches to the most heavy pex mods (slaverun maria eden and CD).

About the crash fix; I couldn't use it, as it needs a plugin so it can load before skse, and the file is hidden on the nexus, apparently some heavy fixing was needed according to the author's note.

I tried disabling autosave and try to finish the quest, but in my way to Solitude I got the "r6025 pure virtual function call" error and crash. Resintalled vcredist and I'll try again.

On the string count I am usually at 56k or so and it doesn't move too far from that during my game.

Last edit.

I was almost done with the quest (playing with auto save disabled), and got the r6025 pure virtual function call error again...So, I'm done. This is just so energy draining, I'll just uninstall all these mods (devious devices related) and forget they existed. Thanks for the help though.

Maybe a little kneejerk to uninstall all DD mods, most are pretty compatible with each other, I have however had problems with Maria Eden and other DD mods. It's probably jsut a case of the straw that broke the camel's back, and probably the only long term fix is to cut losses with the current save and begin the slow (and energy draining) process of debugging and eliminating problem mods until your skyrim is in a more stable place and then start a new one.

Unrelated, I was replaying SpaceEsc the other day, keep up the slow awesomeness. :)

Well, it's not a great loss, I've never liked BDSM, I was trying out these ones for the faint corruption aspect of them with the submissive checks and what not. If you've followed SpacEscape, you know that is my shit.

Yeah, 55 - 56k on a new game here (after restringer patches). I can't vouch for the integrity of using restringer mid playthrough, as its effectively altering scripts that your game has already loaded through and has reference to.

I assume disabling Autosave let you go to an outside cell? If thats the case, finishing the quest or not may not matter in the long run.... as when you eventually try to save, you will likely face the same fault.

The SKSE patch you were sent to the Nexus for also fixes the 64k string limit problem BUT the author of that patch posted it here first (http://www.loverslab.com/topic/56084-crash-fixes/).

The Preloader is available again now so you can implement that particular fix now too (all the fixes it provides are optional, including the on that requires the preloader).

I haven't ever had an issue with corrupt saves but then the most complex mod I am running is CD. Even after 20 levels of play it does not vary by much more than 1k-2k in either direction for me.

I think they said v3.84 had a string count of around 2000 but v4 will have far more since the number of scripts is a little more than doubling.

There should really be, like, a progress bar, or something along those lines. Can't wait, so excited :D

Would be great, but impractical. What do you do when you get down to that last little bug, then discover it is a symptom of an issue that needs an architectual change to resolve. Do you leave the the bar one pixel from completion for weeks while you pull apart the mod and fix the structure, or do you back down the progress bar to reflect the true state of affairs? Either way the complaints in the forums would be much worse than what is going on now. :D

Run into that several times already. Several of the beta updates required new games to continue testing.

I'm a 3rd year student of informatics at a university, let's just say I am already pretty familiar with those very issues (my poor screen has had more than it's fair share of curses thrown at it :P). But just because I know it's not very (or at all, really) practical doesn't make me any less anxious to see the progress :D

I will state ahead of time that the following series of events makes no sense to me.  That is why I am posting it here to find out if someone else can make heads or tails out of what occurred and why the fix that I discovered worked.

I was going through the Embassy quest for Master.  The first time in I had a ctd once Elewen removed the harness via the ring.  The second time I got a ding sound from outside the game as if a system message had popped up and then Skyrim froze during the "clean her up and try her out" scene after your first night.  This occurred four times with me trying various things to fix it from load order to install order via MO to checking Papyrus logs.  Nothing seemed to fix the freeze.  I assumed that it was a script error since I was getting a system message, though I could not actually see what it was since once Skyrim froze up I could not alt-tab out of it.  The only solution I had was cntl-alt-del then log out of Win10.

I came to the page for Captured Dreams to see if I could find anything to make sense of this.  I disconnected my laptop from my TV and disconnected my controller so I could easily put it on my lap.  after a search that revealed nothing new I started Skyrim again hoping that maybe I could save/load my way through.  Turns out it was not needed.  The rest of the quest completed through all three days with out any more freezes, crashes, or bugs.  Infact not even a dragon attack outside the CD Shop could stop the quest from rolling on through.

My only conclusion is that for unbeknownst reason having either my X-box controller or my HDMI connection plugged in was what was causing the error in Skyrim.  I've always played the game that way and never had a problem before so I would assume that CD didn't like that for some reason.  I've got no real clue why, how, or anything else.  Just what I've stated above.

For whatever reason the Embassy quest will always crash during one of the sex scenes. If you make saves every so often (you can save during anything but direct dialogue and sex scenes) once you reload it it will not crash again. The crash itself is from SexLab and not CD, CD has started the sex scene and is waiting for it to finish.

Hey Veladarius, Have an odd issue that you may or may not have heard of.  In front of one of the doors to the guest house (the door that points toward the mansion) there seems to be something there blocking the way.  I have tried to see if I could select it via the console, but I cannot seem to find it.  I will admit that I have not spent too much time on this.  I thought I would bring it up to see if anyone else has had the issue or not.  Last year when I posted my load order for another issue, someone replied with saying that they thought there was a conflict with CD and Cutting Room Floor.  I have not looked in xEdit yet to see.

I think it is related to the physical boundaries of some object and it is no longer connected to it, my guess it is the side door there.

ok, here is my feedback about this mod:

Very complete, but too long... played arround 5 days with it (somes hours each day) and i tryed to finish main quest for remove thoses F... devices on my char... No way! 20 radian quest done, 4 quests for expan done. Master still concidere my char like a slave (Relationship was excelent, success rate too, was dom stat and voila)

I realy was bored to lose my weapon all the time and can't use my spell without see my char going crazy. (cuz vibrate plugs)

Finaly, i uninstalled the mod for now. Maybe i'll retry it after a update ! AND ! when i finished main quest and sub

My advice for ppl who wan test it:

Do your F... quests (main and sub) before do it!!! U'll going crazy to do nothing with your char, lose your weapon on water cuz ur char lose control with plug.

You can't remove ur plug before too much time (please put a way to remove them yourself)

Anyway, nice job for this mod

I was under the impression that the time between sex acts, i.e. when the guards are talking about who is going first, how good you are, and how the one couldn't look at sausage for a week, was Captured Dreams responsibility and not Sexlab's.  It wasn't during the actual sex acts but in between that the crashes were occurring during the dialogue between the two guards.

Either way, I got it to complete and the only variables that changed that I could observe were the external monitor (HDMI) and the X-box controller which I found really weird, so thought I'd post here and see if anyone had an idea how or why it would do that.  I'll chalk it up to what the creator of Civil War Overhaul refers to as Skyrim Sorcery.

Often have to wonder if Skyrim learned it's sorcery from Mickey.

The crash happens after CD has handed things off to SexLab and it is doing its initial setup for the scene, I have even enabled the player's controls at that point as well. Originally the issue was related to the actor scaling that SexLab did but apparently there is something else there. The odd thing is that I have been able to go through the entire quest starting from a save made as soon I was taken to Elenwen's room.

@Veladarius, you mention this...  "Currently ZAZ Animation Pack v6.10 will stop any scene of mine where the player is bound due to AI changes in ZAP. The previous version of ZAP (V6.07) would occasionally do this but the latest version will do it every time".

I wondering if you can tell me more and have a solution you are using? For my mod (in signature), I've had two players report scene getting stuck, and I'm wondering if it's the same issue.
