I can't complete the Kyne's final trial because Graywinter Watch cave still has Ria and the bear. The bear sub-quest was completed without an issue earlier. When talking to Ria there's no dialogue option to move along. Is there any console command that might help in this situation?

During the quest ‘A Girl's Best Friend’, you must find out from Farengar who has the next book. Then you can enter the cave without Ria and Mr. Bear.

I had to abandon the quest because tirwin got slapped with BDSM gear, but has no dialog that allows for access to remove it. She is gimped with no apparent recovery options. Mod is a part of NEFERAM.

Another modpack like Wabbajack? The fact that Tirwin gets BDSM stuff is not the fault of the mod, but of whoever made the pack (apparently badly) so ask him/her to fix this problem.

Don't use NEFERAM but was curious and i would guess she was tagged by Deviously Enchanted chests as that can include NPC's, obvious answer would be to turn off the NPC part of that mod while playing this mod

Depending what was equipped you could either try consoling in some chastity/restraint keys to remove whatever she was equipped with or failing that do unequipall with her targetted in the console (might cause other oddities so wouldnt recommend that tbh)

Thanks for the quick reply! It got resolved for me after getting the next books at Broken Tower Redoubt. In my case I already had the next location and the quest

It's quite late for the problem to be solved, but it's important that you managed to solve it.

It's not exactly immersive, but you can use the console:

Open the console, click on Tirwin, type showinventory, find the offending BDSM gear in the list that appears, note its item ID, and then use removeitem <item ID> 1 to remove it.

If it respawns or what not, may have to unequip it first generally speaking. The reason I say this is that sometimes it's a pain to do a straight removeitem of something worn and it may get equipped again (typically happens with default items or some mods - i.e. spid will do this - which use a script to dress the item in the first place). I do not have NEFERAM so do not know what it's doing, the first thing I'd do is turn if off any setting from hitting npcs.

unequipitem <item ID> 1

removeitem <item ID>  1

I do a lot of spid and skypatcher tweaking and sometimes change .ini files up if I don't like it,  typically have to use the console to clean things up between.

Thank you. This is sufficient for me to move forward.

So I started the quest for this mod, went and got the first book, killed the bandits at the wolf cave, talk to her and she sends me behind the wagon, I go there, the quest updates, then after it tells me to peek she just stands there staring at the wolf. No matter how long I wait, she just keeps standing there. No animation, no quest updates, nothing. I have the required mods installed, and all the animations enabled, so I doubt it could be that.

Is there a way to fix this, or at least force the quest to progress?

1) Are you use SexLab P+?

2) Are you have Creature enaled in SexLab?

3) Do you have wolf animations pack?

Quests list and stages are here:

1) Is that different from the version of SexLab listed in the requirements, which I am using?

2) Creatures are enabled.

3) I looked through my animations in the loader and I have many Canine ones loaded, but none that are specified for wolves. Does that matter?

There is SexLab, and SexLab P+ is its improved version, but due to an error in P+, scenes do not start or other strange problems occur.

Do any creature animations work on your current setup? This would be easier to narrow down if we knew your creature animations were working as a general matter. Also, normal Sexlab is fine. @killer905 was just asking about Sexlab P+ because past versions have had issues with the Sexlab "TrackActor" function the mod uses.

This "wolf" animation request is using the racekey "Canines". That racekey picks up animations for any of the following races:

        AddRaceID("Canines", "DogRace")
        AddRaceID("Canines", "DogCompanionRace")
        AddRaceID("Canines", "MG07DogRace")
        AddRaceID("Canines", "DA03BarbasDogRace")
        AddRaceID("Canines", "DLC1HuskyArmoredCompanionRace")
        AddRaceID("Canines", "DLC1HuskyArmoredRace")
        AddRaceID("Canines", "DLC1HuskyBareCompanionRace")
        AddRaceID("Canines", "DLC1HuskyBareRace")
        AddRaceID("Canines", "WolfRace")
        AddRaceID("Canines", "DLC1DeathHoundCompanionRace")
        AddRaceID("Canines", "DLC1DeathHoundRace")

This still sounds likely your the animations are not available. @Gristle is right about checking first to see if you get any SexLab animations started in a test. If you do then we know it's likely something about creature animations.

Is she standing stick-figured like a mannequin? That may mean FNIS or Pandora - which ever one you're using was not run against the animations to create behavior files.

On the SLAL loader, You can check on the loader to see how many were registered, and even SexLab registry may list them, but I think there may be a settings on SexLab's first McM menu to actually enable/disable creature and aggressive animations?  I do not recall but some creature animations have the aggressive keyword?

There's a lot of working parts and settings to get SexLab up running.

As far as animation sets:

Bilyys

Anub

MNC

I think cover the basics... I have a couple more sets aside from those, like Sailings and Ayasato but I think the three I mentioned above cover everything in Animal research.

I do know one thing @Gristle mods use straight forward SexLab animation calls, and does so in a clean and quite eloquent way tending to cover the basics... if they're not working it's the SexLab setup.

Turns out that a bunch of my animations either never got registered, or somehow got unregistered. Other scenes were happening naturally from other quests, so I thought everything was working. I was glad to have figured that out, so I continued the questline of this mod to see if things happen when triggered now. Entered Graywinter Watch... no bear. Oh, the joys of modding.

Is the fire on the upper level of the cave burning? If it's burning, you're in the vanilla cave (which is not good). If it's not burning, you're in the (correct) mod cave. If you're in the right cave, then you probably need to go back a stage (to Jorrvaskyr).  If you step through the dialogue quickly the last command might not fire (enabling the bear).

It is the correct cave, as indicated by the fire not burning. Had to play through the barrow again as my last save was from before then, but finally got back to Jorrvaskr. Saved before entering, then went through the dialogue a couple times. Each time without skipping anything and letting it progress on its own. Each time the bear still didn't show up. I can keep trying, but I could use some suggestions as to what to do differently each time.

Thanks, by the way, for helping me through these issues I'm encountering while wanting to enjoy your hard work.

No problem, but this is a hard one to figure out. The code is pretty simple. When you finish speaking with Ria about the bear, her ending dialogue sets the stage to 60.

The stage code for stage 60 looks like this:

CaveBear.Enable()
CaveDoor.Enable()
VanillaDoor.Disable()
setObjectiveCompleted(50)
setObjectiveDisplayed(60)

As you can see, the same stage code that enables the mod-added cave door and disables the vanilla cave door also enables the bear.  So, if you have the objective displayed "Take Tirwin to see the bear", all of the above code must have run.  Also, if you are in the mod-added cave, all of the above code must have run. (So, I was mistaken before, there should be no possibility of being in the bear cave without the bear, even if you did rush through Ria's dialogue.)

The objective for stage 60 also puts a quest marker on the bear. Do you have a quest marker on this stage? Is it floating in the air where a bear should be?

Last question: Did you start this playthrough on an early version of this mod? (Originally, the mod used the vanilla cave.) I'm not sure why that would affect the mod-added cave which didn't exist at the time, but it's worth asking.

I did actually start on an earlier version of the mod a while back. When I returned recently I didn't update any mods, until I came to this page asking about the wolf (which was the unregistered animation issue, not the version). ((I hope, was hoping the bear would work properly then this happened.)) Seeing that there was a new version from when I originally downloaded and that it didn't say anywhere that you couldn't update mid save I went ahead and did that. However, on the save I play, I hadn't started the bear quest yet, nor had I been to Graywinter before.

Also, there is indeed just a floating objective marker in the middle of the cave with no bear underneath. When I approach, the quest updates and allows me to have the conversation. When that's finished nothing happens and she just keeps following me as normal.

Yes, I never had that issue... and don't, no body should.

Just my thoughts, when going from the prior version to the new update, for a new play-through of the mod or even not very far I'd remove the mod, load a save, make a new save, quit and add the new version. Load up the last save and play from the start.

I do not know how true it is but I'd heard cells persistent objects bake in a save, would not imagine that could possibly screw up anything though for a new cell and that code is tight so should not possibly screw up... maybe the enable followed by moveto marker (an object or something), Is it possible the bear somehow fell or spawned out of the cell?

I have the Sexy Bandit Captives mod in my load order and sometimes it spawns wisps outside the cells it's meant to spawn them in.

Enabling the bear did make it appear, although the Sexlab scene for that part of the dialogue still did not trigger. Since I didn't want to be held up by this any longer, I just used commands to jump the quest forward. To my pleasant surprise, the dialogue to see it again worked and the scene between her and the bear fully played out, then again with her and my character. I'm hoping that this is the last of my troubles and I can continue without commands.

Thanks for the help, everyone!

I hope I don't need to ask for it again.

Great mod.

The only things I didn't much care for was the last quest. Tirwin bitches if you bang the Dark Elf like you cheated on her or something but then two quests later she gets DPed by sailors and you have zero say the matter, maybe an option to pay an extreme amount to skip that or more focus on the dog if your character is also female the switch away from the mods main focus there just kinda sucked.

Also there is scenes where your character could be doing something but your just sitting there with your thumb in your ass.  Mainly the Riekling quest where there is Rieklings who bang Tirwin and the rest just kinda sit there when your character could get involved, and again the North wind quest where your on the boat and you just sit there doing fuck all while she gets banged by the dogs.  It's not such a big deal when it's just the one beast but if there is more your character should be interacting the Troll quest was a fantastic example both you and Tirwin are doing something.

Only maybe bug I encountered was I lost the dialogue for sex between quests after the Riekling quest then it came back after the final quest, so I'm not sure if that was intended or bug.
