Drukla Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 You can see in my picture that I have activated SK Child Armor Swapper but I don't how. ¿How I should have my userlist.txt? I post mine userlist.txt Your userlist is fine, however you don't need to remove entries for modules you do not intend to install; if a file in your userlist isn't installed in your game BOSS simply ignores it. I need to see your complete load order with all the plugins in your game. ¿This?
Seiji-Chan Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 We are presently using the vanilla skyrim voices for now. We had a fellow working on custom voices for us, and said that they were near completion, but he has unfortunately been AWOL for 2+ months. I'd really like to get us some better voices, but unfortunately the vanilla ones will have to do for now... The boy voice is pretty close to complete. Need to update the compat patch though, it's a bit out of date as mentioned. What parts aren't complete? I find that a lot of the voice mods out there don't even include all the parts, such as shouts, stamina panting, etc. Would love to see what's done so far, and it would be great to have a standalone mod for just the voices. There really aren't enough male voices out there.

Sarathis Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 I'm having that issue again where the armor patcher isn't running correctly. The last time this happened was after I disabled all my custom race mods but Skykids. The patcher would not run until I reactivated one of them. This time I tried (stupidly) to install Feminine Females. Well, my game didn't like it. At all. I got CTD as soon as I tried to move my character. So I uninstalled it. Unfortunately, that seems to have made the patcher malfunction. It runs through the check list and BOSS load order just fine. As soon as I hit "Patch" though, the java window simply closes immediately and a 0kb SK Child Armor Swapper.esp is generated that Wrye Bash identifies as corrupted. Last time I was able to "fix" the issue by turning on The Ningheim race mod. This time, though, I'm stuck. I can't turn Feminine Females back on because it crashes my game. But I can't run the patcher to make a new Swapper.esp without it, so I still CTD. Anyone have any ideas why this happens or how to fix it?
JerWA Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 @Seiji-Chan, All parts of the voicing are present because it started as a copy of the base actors voice. There were just 1 or 2 lingering sounds that needed to be adjusted I believe. It isn't my work, I just made the compat patch for it. Unfortunately the author is MIA. You will need Dawnguard and Dragonborn. The biggest potential gotcha is this does edit voice formlists and if you've got other mods doing so it would likely conflict. First, you need PCEV. Second, you need SK Child Male voice for PCEV. This includes all of the audio files but again, not my work, just packaged by me for SK with the authors consent. I just updated it for beta 3. Lastly, install, enable, sort (you may need to add a BOSS entry for my esm, see the included readme or check below), and go. Only impacts the "human" races at the moment; breton, imperial, nord and reguard. This is definitely the most complicated thing I've done in my Skyrim modding yet, but I pulled it off I think! Thanks a bunch. Funny that I used GECK a lot and even custom made my own NPC companion for Fallout New Vegas... but Skyrim confuses me more. There's already a child voice replacer for Rcots. I use it. Yeah, I cracked that zip file open and it's just for females. ALL player character females, I believe. Not what I was looking for.

I changed it to maleeventoned and it works fine for my boy characters. In fact, it's actually a recording of a boy's voice, not a girl's, so it works out even better than hoped.

Oh well, learning how to use PCEV was a good thing, and amazingly I pulled it off the very first try.
Rez Delnava Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 I'm having that issue again where the armor patcher isn't running correctly. But I can't run the patcher to make a new Swapper.esp without it, so I still CTD. Anyone have any ideas why this happens or how to fix it? I'm thinking there may be two separate issues here. The first was when you installed Feminine Females. It probably conflicted with FNIS or some other animation mod you have, that may be why it crashed when you moved and not while loading or sometime after. I don't think it has anything to do with the SK armor patcher. The second is an occasional issue encountered with a lot of Skyproc Patchers, SK armor included. If there is an existing destination file (in this case SK Armor Swapper.esp) the patcher will sometimes bug out. Delete the file, then run the patcher again with the 'Force Patches' option ticked in the upper-right corner.
Rez Delnava Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 I did some comparison on the two voice packs (the SK one JerWA uploaded, and the RCotS set). The intonation, phrasing, pitch, etc. is identical for the various shouts I listened to. The only difference (as far as I can tell) is the file size. The ones JerWA supplied are larger and have an earlier signature date which leads me to believe they are the originals and the ones in Glouf's mod are copies and have likely lost definition or have been compressed. These seem to be copies of the female eventone voice with a pitch/frequency modifier. Great for short phrases and breathing noises, but if we tried doing the same for longer audio samples like NPC dialog, it would likely be noticeably bad. The sounds are fairly gender neutral, so if anyone wanted to, the changed audio (you can use Glouf's version to get a list of just the chnaged ones) could be copied over to female folder female too. EDIT: After more comparison: The shouts are the same, but a number of the breathing and death noises are different. The death noises from Glouf's pack have definite (young) female tone to them, while some from JerWA's pack are using adult male sounds and some are repacked noises from the malechild vanilla set. I'll do some more comparison tomorrow night, maybe start merging the two sets into a complete whole.

I was looking forward to having the women actually stand and walk like women but that mod caused such a problem I wouldn't know how to begin to fix it. I did the usual GenerateFNISforUsers bit after I installed it but it was still bugging. C'est la vie. I'll have to remember to try the "Force Patches" bit if this ever happens again. I actually wound up deleting the whole Skyproc Patcher folder and .esp, then replacing it. When I did that it ran fine and I was able to play again. Sadly, the save I was using was corrupted and would CTD as soon as it finished loading. It wasn't too far along but still irritating.
gvman3670 Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 I don't see how Feminine Females could be a problem. I am using it with no issues. And I don't see how it could effect SkyKids or COTS kids at all. Odd.

en_hawk Posted February 15, 2014 Author Posted February 15, 2014 yes it does work, it will even make a girl armor fit to your boy character or the contrary I suppose, and thats very usefull as you can have your character wear any armor but, tell me if I'm wrong, if your follower is not of the same sex than your character the converted armor wont fit to him her nothing is perfect Uhh, no. I don't know where this misconception keeps coming from, but the armor swapper doesn't convert anything, it simply enables us to display race specific armor meshes. Someone has to actually go and make those meshes for a piece of equipment to appear 'converted'. All the vanilla armor is converted because someone took the time to go edit every single mesh in the game to fit the new bodies, and through the armor swapper those meshes are setup to only display on the child races. Really, read the OP people.
jimmy2 Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 ok ok, I should have misunderstood that : When the armor swapper is operating properly, you will be able to equip and use any armor mod you like and it will display properly. If it is an adult armor your character will obviously magically grow breasts, but it will be functional(and UV compatible) nonetheless. but yes patched armors only fit to the char and not to followers
JerWA Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 There is no patched armor. For the armor that's swapping meshes, it's tied to SK. If your followers are not SK, they will not show the SK meshed armor just like if your player character is not SK you will not show the SK meshed armor. There are some SK followers and the swapper works fine for the player or the followers, either way, of either gender. This is entirely by design, since mods that stomp all over your entire game are not cool. And, as far as I'm aware, this is the only mod where you could have 4 characters on screen at once, male and female child, male and female adult, all wearing the same armor with only 1 item, no special items, all with just the exact same vanilla item and all showing proper/unique meshes.
