Once you have done parts one and two of the quest, you can choose to dismiss Balazar... where does he go? He says he might see you again, does he make the shrine his home or is he just sent to the void? He goes back to Oblivion. I had thought about him hanging out at the shrine and available to be picked up again there. But I wasn't sure it made sense for him to hang out there (beneath his station). Also, it's a bit of pain because I have to switch his and the PC's factions whenever they go there - otherwise they will be attacked - and then switch them back when they leave. So, I left the "might see you again" comment thinking it would relate to a future extension of the quest. If he's not with the PC, he could just appear and force greet the PC if he needs the PC for some task. I guess another possibility is the PC ends up with a scroll or spell to summon him.
lurker9001 Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 I just finished part 2, I have to day good job, the mod was well paced and remarkably stable throughout. The only thing I would have done differently in part 2 would be for the player to be able to choose the conditions for Balazar switching (ie I would have preferred the dog form at all times except for combat. Also I think the PC could still be able to talk to Balazar in dog form, given its a daedra, he could still communicate trough BS psychic powers. Still, really good mod, looking forward to what you will do with it.
killer905 Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 The whole mod checked on the LE version, but unfortunately needs a facegen conversion from SE to LE otherwise the NPCs added by the mod have gray faces. You can use SSE NIF Optimizer to convert from SE to LE facegen files. As for the mod itself. I liked the idea, but unfortunately the end is a bit disappointing. I was expecting something like "wow" or the other day. Nevertheless, I liked the mod.
Ralof of Riverwood Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 Currently working my way through. Love the mod so far. Couple of observations - 1. I use Naked Defeat for my combat mod and noticed Balazar decided to switch sides during the defeat scenario. Poor Lydia was violated. Not sure if this is a bug or working as intended. 2. Minor incompatibility with Vokrii perk mod. Vokrii allows you to smith and equip armor padding that takes up slot 56. When Bal insists on nudity, he fails to strip that slot but continues to complain about me breaking the rules. Thus far it's proven remarkably stable for an initial release. Nicely done.

Summoning spell or scroll, with a twist of having to make convincing arguments for him to join your party every time he is disbanded/resummoned? ps-Or maybe something like a pocket realm(like Sanguine/Sheogorath ones), where you entertain him/the troops. Guest Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 (edited) Just finished this and I want to say - really really good work! You tied everything together really well and the writing was very well done. I liked that you didn't rely on vanilla quests - I fully expected Spoiler Danica to tell me to fetch Nettlebane for her & was pleasantly surprised when she didn't. I'm really looking forward to anything else you put out because you clearly have a talent for storytelling - especially the popup message boxes which were fantastic. The only problem I had was Spoiler after talking to Dravynea, the objective said to follow her but she just stood there and did nothing. I guessed that she was probably going to go to the mine because it seemed like the most logical option and headed there anyway and when I entered it advanced the quest so everything was fine. But I guess her pathing glitched or something. While I'm in a spoiler tag I will mention that it was a little weird that Farengar had captured a dragon before I'd even been to Helgen - but I don't really know a way around that, I think being like 'you have to have practically completed the main quest before you can play this mod' would be ridiculous. And to be honest? I can definitely excuse a little weirdness if it means dragon sex. Also I liked that the second quest was opt in, giving a bit more choice (ironic I know). It lets your character show their personality and I always love that. All in all, great work! Edited November 1, 2023 by laylajack

Good point about followers. One aspect of this mod is that I'm having the PC peacefully encounter (and lead) creatures that are normally enemies who would attack the PC and her followers on sight. This is accomplished by taking Balazar out of his normal (enemy) faction, and also by occasionally putting the PC and Balazar into the same (enemy) faction as an enemy creature. I would prefer to always instead change the faction of the enemy creature, but if they are not unique NPCs I don't know how to do this. So, that means that the PC and Balazar (in true form) will occasionally turn into "enemies" when they are hanging out with enemies (like in the shrine). I hadn't thought about how this might affect other NPC followers, but if the worst that happens is that Balazar violates poor Lydia, then I have to say that sounds pretty in character for Balazar. Also, this faction switching stops after the end of Part II, so your PC continues to travel with Balazar, this shouldn't be an issue. Just curious: During what combat did Balazar jump Lydia? 6 hours ago, Ralof of Riverwood said: 2. Minor incompatibility with Vokrii perk mod. And to be honest? I can definitely excuse a little weirdness if it means dragon sex. I'm not sure why the delay in the travel package. Normally, it can take up to 10 seconds for an NPC to switch AI packages. But I'm adding a command that makes the NPC evaluate the new package immediately. In my game, she starts moving within a few seconds. (But sometimes I do have to back off so my PC and Balazar don't block her.) However, two others above in the thread had the same issues you did. Herowynne reports that she had her PC exit and reenter the inn, and then waited a couple of minutes and eventually the NPC started moving. Do you have any added NPCs that could be blocking her path inside the inn? I had this problem in the Winking Skeever once. Glad you enjoyed the quest. You should check out the Markarth exhibitionism fame quest in SLSF Fame Comments some time. That was my first quest, but I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. I think in some ways it's better than this one. Maybe I'll pull it out of SLSF Fame Comments as a separate quest sometime. I think a lot of people overlook it there. 1

It's hard for me to justify why Balazar would want to stay in dog form all the time. But concealing his true form in cities and towns seems wise. Also, the switching adds variety, as Balazar can initiate both canine sex or humanoid sex, and is still always in his powerful form when you need him most, e.g., wilderness and dungeons. Also, I wanted the PC to get comments on both the dog relationship and the relationship with Balazar in his true form. And, I wanted to set up scenarios where NPCs run in fear from Balazar. This is in the mod in a minimal way now, but I had planned to expand it. I also intend to add scenarios where a guard will occasionally try to attack Balazar in his true form. Also, I'm switching him now with simple dialogue conditions. Switching him at combat start and back at combat end would be a lot more complicated and would likely require a script of some kind. 10 hours ago, lurker9001 said: Also I think the PC could still be able to talk to Balazar in dog form, given its a daedra, he could still communicate trough BS psychic powers. Balazar can talk in dog form, in the second part of the quest, through BS psychic powers like you say. There is a notification (up in the upper left corner) when he first talks in Part II (when you ask if Part I is finished and if you are free) that says "you hear Balazar's voice echoing in your head". It's easy to miss though. Perhaps I should repeat it. So, he does have dialogue as a dog, but it's true that I didn't give him the random comments that he has in his other form.

Pretty sure it happened because Naked Defeat draws in anyone nearby who isn't a follower as a potential attacker. Since Bal isn't a normal follower, he qualified to have his way with the ladies of team Dragonborn. I don't actually consider this a problem, given his nature. 1 hour ago, Gristle said: I'm using the SexLab strip function, so you can select exactly what is stripped in the SexLab MCM. Animosities. Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 Maybe you misspell the priestess of the Temple of the Divines's name? Her name is Freir, but seem you misspell that as Frier.
uncleben7 Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 I finished being Balazar’s bitch. Lol Great mod. I had no issues with quests at all. The only slight annoyance I had was caused by Sexlab Aroused Creatures. Doggy Balazar kept banging everyone slowing me down. But the immersion breaking thing happened just after Danica asked me to meet her later in the temple, so no one else would see her letting Balazar do her. Just then Balazar sensed how horny she was, and jumped her bones right there in front of the tree. I was worried it would break the quest. It didn’t. A guard walked by, and even commented something like “Danica, you dirty dog slut.” Afterward she still was acting like, no one must see. Lol They already did girl, the whole of Whiterun. It was that point I turned off SLAC in the MCM. After finally dismissing Balazar, I was surprised he didn’t give me a spell to summon him for when the need arises. Anyway great mod, looking forward to any future updates.
Encogt Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 (edited) Spoiler Hi, I am facing a problem where the troll does not move. I have arousal working normallly but he just stands there attacking. My have taken off everything and it still doesnt work. I tried moving him with command and he just slowly walk back. Edit i fixed it. Unsure it was SLAX or Cratures framework. When you've constantly got a dog next to you, SLAC is a bit too much. Balazar is not a standard follower, but maybe if I put him in a follower faction you can shut him out of SLAC in its MCM by turning off animal followers. Still working on the next stage of the quest. He might just show up again when he needs the PC for something, but providing a summoning spell would be good too, in case it's the PC that needs him.

Actual solution would be to allow end user to set Balazar's arousal level trigger to be higher than 25, mainly because arousal scale goes up to 100 and in some setups, like mine, where CF, SLAC and other mods triggers are tuned to much higher thresholds to trigger their events, 25 can be a problem of sorts. Anyway, after recompiling with that small change - removal of BB's hard limit - there is no need any more to disable anything, and BB coexists peacefully just fine with others, in terms of arousal visualization and events at least ?

I haven't tested the mod due to some problems with my Skyrim installation ATM, but how about quest triggers? Balazar could appear after certain quests and demand something that is related to the quest. For example: He wants to analyse the Staff of Magnus and stays to have some fun with the PC (at the cost of the PC's well-being). Or you could use the statistics. If the player is overly engaged in sex with animals or daedric beings, Balazar could decide to return and taunt the PC at best. He might be up for something worse – after all he is a Daedra, however the quest ends. Then again: Have you read the stories by Devianna? They might give you ideas as well, since there are some quite interesting Daedra (Trezaath aka Trez, Vulvun aka Vul-Vul, Lady Eira aka the harlot and others).

So I went trough and kinda tried to break the mod as best I could, I found a few bugs as a result but its nothing major. With the Whiterun quest, there are times where you have to engage the quest twice, I am not 100% on what causes this, maybe just going through it too fast? In the 2nd part, I made sure, and can confirm you can get through the whole quest even without any proper animation mods, you at times (Windhelm) have to actively engage NPCs, to force the tree to progress, but you 100% can do it. (Just a for fun thing I tested out) Like some people metioned there is times where you are marked as an enemy so odd situations with other mods so odd situations can happen, like Balazar seemingly switching sides, etc. In the final act, with the final boss, I wouldn't say its a bug but at times, it can disengage you and if you don't realize you are supposed to kill it, then you stand there for a while before you realize what you are supposed to do. Hope that helps a bit, if you want me to maybe test more I am happy to try stuff out. Thanks again for your hard work!
Alterdude13 Posted November 3, 2023 Posted November 3, 2023 Just finished the mod. Lovely work! I only wish, as others had said previously in this thread, that you could summon/go visit Balazar after the quest is complete, or that there was more content after. Definitely the least buggy quest mod I've tried, and the only real gripe I have is that you at some point can fuck a dragon, which seems a little unrealistic to just happen but eh, whatever. Props to you! I do hope to see more quest mods from you in the future.

But the issue that I has having with, and I think the issue that uncleben7 was having, is not Balazar sex attacks caused by this mod, but rather Balazar sex attacks caused by SLACs, in particular Balazar attacks on NPCs. Raising Balazar's arousal threshold in this mod would not address that. I think the issue is more that, unlike a normal situation, where you only occasionally encounter dogs, with this mod you've go a dog right next to you all the time, at least in the first part of the quest. So, you're going to get a lot more attacks with the same SLACs arousal settings. SLACs has already anticipated this, because (if I recall correctly) it gives you an MCM switch to exclude creature followers. The only problem is Balazar is not a follower in any sense that can be detected by SLACs. That's why I thought if I could put him in a follower faction that SLACs could detect, then the problem of his constant presence could be solved by the SLACs MCM follower exclusion switch.

Yeah, the dragon is a bit of a stretch, but the location works. Part of the rationale for the mod was to try to make use of some of the creature animations that rarely get used. Hence, the dragon, the automaton, and some creatures from the second DLC. I will be adding a summoning spell and eventually more content. 59 minutes ago, Alterdude13 said: Props to you! No creatures, but I think it's a very fun quest, and a good amount of content. Another companion-type quest: a veteran soldier in the first half, and a young noblewoman in the second half.
