As for the changes to MAA, I know you've said in the past they are a bear to deal with from a modders perspective. Particularly if we happened to get a few more expanded regional Famuli MAA's as a result. (maybe not just for Asia)


I can keep Compedita Succession but I think the code is a little old, hmmm, I'll see.

Just an FYI, the regional/special Famuli MAA all still exist and are completely separate, its just the "basic" MAA (eg skirmishers, archers, pikemen, light cav etc) are now cosmetic.
Feels a lot better imo, though I do have to check the MAA for changes whenever CK3 updates.

You need to start a new save to load in the Regula faith into the game.

I now remove the new China concubine cultural tradition on starting as Magister, so this should be fine now.
Would probs be a bit messy if you did this as Han as it would effect all other Han Chinese, but I have no idea how else to fix this unfortunately.

Yeah something like that, a mix between admin and Mandala I think, still not decided.

Bloodline goal numbers are in the file "Regula_Magistri\common\script_values\regula_bloodline_goal_values.txt"
I don't really get what you mean by ward age requirements, religion stuff you can change in the religion folder/files.

Yeah, that makes sense, I'll add that as a fix now, once I redo the Magister trait to not be piety level dependent I'm also going to remove piety_level checks across the mod.

heres a picture of the council. the decisions button I think mighta been an artefact from wicked debauchery as that one was still dated at the time

Two things to mention.

One, in regard to the rework of MAA, I take it there is no way to have them have unique display names for the player? IE so we could have the unique Regula flavored names like back.

Two, I am getting invalid holding type when constructing a Palace now. Says Feudal can't hold Palace, and when I built it and tried to move my capitol to it, it failed to move capitol and generated a random Baron to hold it instead. Revoked title and took it myself, showed invalid holding like it would for a city.

Not sure what's causing this but releasing the keeper in my game didn't apply mulsa to a lot of my charmed characters. I'm assuming that wasn't intended, correct me if I'm wrong.

More bug reports.

I am sometimes seeing the Show Book interaction, even after freeing the Keeper of Souls.

Also, in addition to the normal council screen being a bit wonky as Tyrranus has mentioned, the Regula council screen is very screwy for me. I can see the normal council screen transparently beneath it, it's misaligned, and I've had at least two CTDs trying to assign people to Regula council positions.

havent had any ctd but I do see the normal council behind the regula one

Seem to have a bug. After the original founder dies, when I take over his heir and open up the RC advisors window, it crashes straight to desktop. Happened several times now with several different areas.

For the Han concubine limit, I tried this out.

I think it works.....lol. You could also replace it with traits and make it tiered as well

 

Edit: nvm i think religion also puts a limit as well so i think it can just be removed then

I've noticed a problem: after acquiring a concubine, she quickly becomes crippled, and even if I bring her back, she'll become crippled again shortly afterward. I don't know why this happens. (This was translated using a translation software; I'm not very good at English.)

I was seeing those "Show Book" interactions too, but they would go away after letting a month or so pass. 

I have the same GUI issues with the Regula Council screen, (dunno what CTDs are lol), but I can't assign someone to the Prowess based position (Vilicus Contubernalis) without the game crashing.

Hmm, actually, there might be a way to keep the old names! Maybe even the descriptions, I'm going to try and add them back, I did like them as well.

Ah, yeah I've removed the government overrides, but honestly I'm going to re-add them to re-enable the palace holding everywhere, its just painful right now as its so many governments to override now. Wish I could just set palace holdings to be valid in every government type, rather then change every government to make palace holdings valid. urgh.

Yeah, anyone who has been "shown the book" (have the spellbound secret" should convert when releasing the keeper.

Show book should disappear the day after freeing the keeper of souls iirc.
Yep, council GUI issues noted.

@ban10Is it just an art problem, or also a coding problem? Because if it’s mainly about the art, maybe the community here could help. I used ChatGPT to generate a regula version of the Vigmen, and it came out okay. With a bit of editing in GIMP, I think I turned it into something acceptable. It’s far from perfect, it doesn’t  match the regula style, and it’s still a lot of work for one person, but it's just dumb labor that everyone can do. If someone in this community (especially those who want the art changed) is willing to put in some effort, I don’t think it’s impossible to gradually produce art and feed it to you for replacement.

 

That said, I don’t know anything about coding or how much work it would take, or what issues changing the art might cause down the line. I’m not trying to pressure you; I just think the art side of the problem is feasible.

Its mostly an art problem, I can add the regiment overrides no problem, but generating a lot of art and making sure its good would take a while
Though yeah what you made here is really solid.

How long did it take for you to make? What did you do to make it?

I'm about to put out an update for some bugfixes but I'll include this in the next version afterwards

I had assumed it to be a coding problem, but if it's just a art problem, I'd image we could get the art together. AI gen can do a lot these days.

 

Would be very interested to hear your exact process bubuseven, might try my hand at it tonight.

 

Is there a full list of MAAs that art would be needed for?

Hey new here, Just want to ask if i can play this mod with phaze's futanari mod, as i like to play as a futanari, will I still get the main content? Do i have to edit somethings to make it work?

if you play as a futanari you will not get essentially any of the active content in this mod (it focus's on being a male ruler) in theory you can manually edit all of the checks for this in the files however,  in relation to Phaze's content you will still have access to the futa conclave and associated content, but if RM has any inheritable traits these will NOT be passed on via phaze's futa pregnancy unless a patch is specifically made to do so

wasnt worried about it showin up so much as posting it in case the code wasnt working like not making a character preggo since it states it lacks perspective

Alright, I’ll put my process here for you @ban10, but also for anyone else who’s interested and wants to give it a try.

As I already mentioned, it’s a two-step process involving ChatGPT first and then GIMP (though you can also use Photoshop or whatever you’re more comfortable with).

For the AI part:

I take the original art (the larger one from ck3, located in game/gfx/interface/illustrations/men_at_arms_big). The art is a .dds file , which ChatGPT cannot read, so you’ll need to convert it into another format (PNG will work fine). You can use image-editing software like GIMP: just load the image, then go to File> Export As
Alternatively, you can use an online converter.

 

Once you have your converted file, upload it to ChatGPT.

Then I Googled a reference for what I want my main girl (the one front and center) to look like.

In this case, it was: viking female fantasy armor.

I upload it in the same chat together with a prompt of what I want the AI to do, and 95% of the work is done (in like fifteen minutes).

3.png.8109c4854f234f3d0a47f7b4bd497f7f.pngRegarding the prompt: you don’t need to write like a scholar or even be grammatically correct (as you can see from mine), but you do need to be precise about what you want. Anything you don’t specify, the AI will feel free to do however it wants.

Also, avoid any words even tangentially related to NSFW content, sometimes even something like “muscular tone” can cause the AI to block your request.

 

Now for the hard part: the other 5%. As you can see, AI output isn’t perfect.4.png.a63fe6786ab50fd48e853899f49d8463.png

For me, since the Vigmen are actually archers, not having the archers in the background was a dealbreaker. So I fixed it in GIMP by taking parts from the original picture and blending them back into the AI one (that took me about an hour). After that, I used the two original images (from the CK3 files) as references, resized and framed the picture in a similar way, and of course exported it as a DDS file.

Simple test I did, using the method described above, taking the Samurai pic from the game files to as a base. Took about 10 minutes.

Could easily be refined further, but sadly, there is a daily limit on image generations for free ChatGPT.

thanks for the update, i am having an issue with more then 7 secondary spouses, it will not display portraits beyond 7, if you click secondary spouses, it brings up a purple square

Oh, I actually had this as well and forgot to report it as a bug.

so I dunno if you did anything ban10 but I did a clean install of the update(delete all files then drop the new one) and the council is all cleaned up
