Public Whore Comments

View File

NEW VERSION 1.7 – Corrected naked detection. Fixed current/prior-PW-in-location comments occurring in wrong locations. Removed mod comments from Dibella faction NPCs. Conditioned some additional harsh comments on low relationship rank.

This mod adds over 1300 NPC comments to Visio Diaboli's excellent Public Whore (PW) mod for more variety and immersion, including comments on current and prior PC public whore status, Dragonborn and thane status, PC race, visible cum, yokes, and other relevant conditions. Comments include a subset triggered during PC SexLab animations, as well as a set of “bump into NPC” comments. Some comments are based on PC/NPC arousal. Also includes comments for spouses of female PCs to react to their wife being used as the public whore, as well as NPC comments to public whores who are married. The mod makes no changes to PW gameplay. Comments are included for male and female PCs, though the majority are for female PCs.

NPC comments on the PW's sexual activities reflect actor count, main partner gender, certain animation tags (Rough, Vaginal, Oral, Anal), and creature involvement and type (Dog or Horse).

Some NPC comments are dependent upon PW MCM settings, as follows:

  • For a female PC, if the gender preference in the PW MCM is set to “male”, female NPCs will not be potential PW clients and will have comments more sympathetic to the plight of a female public whore.
  • If creature content is enabled in the PW MCM, NPCs will comment on the PC’s willingness to have sex with beasts.
  • Followers will not deliver NPC comments unless followers are allowed to ‘approach’ the public whore in the PW MCM, with an exception for a spouse follower, who can always deliver custom spouse comments.
  • If guards are not allowed to ‘approach’ the public whore in the PW MCM, they will have comments on this fact.
  • If beggars or the elderly are allowed to ‘approach' the public whore in the PW MCM, other NPCs will have comments on this fact.

  • If the PC is allowed to solicit customers in the PW MCM, NPCs will have comments on this fact.

Comment Frequency Control:

Speak to the Jarl if you want to increase or decrease mod comment frequency. Select dialogue option "About how everyone talks about me..." For comparison, the default of 70% frequency is same frequency as the default for SLSF Fame Comments.

Note on Married/Spouse Comments:

A female PW will be recognized as married if wearing a Bond of Matrimony ring. A PW follower will have custom spouse comments if wearing a Bond of Matrimony ring. (You can use “player.additem 000c5809 2” in the console to give yourself a set of rings.) There is no need to have a marriage ceremony at the Temple of Mara, though you will each get these rings if you do. There is a dialogue option for spouses wearing a Bond of Matrimony (during and after PW status) that allows selection of the spouse's personality type and reaction to the PC being the PW. This interaction also sets the spouse's gender for NPC comment purposes.

Note on First-Person 'Thoughts':

The mod can also generate first-person 'thoughts' (as notifications in upper left corner of screen), some of which have relevant animations, and are triggered by nearby NPCs as well as PC arousal levels. If unwanted, speak with any priest to make them go away, or confess to the priest that you like being the public whore, in which case they will change in character.

Great mod and thanks for sharing. I have a maybe unrelated question though, how did you make the game show subtitles during a Sexlab scene? These lines are nice and spicy but once my PC started to get fucked the game turns off almost all HUDs and I can't see what NPCs say no more.

I'm not sure why. I still have my full HUD during SL animations. You can't see the rest of the HUD in the images I posted only because I cropped them to reach the 2Mb posting limit. Do you have dialogue subtitles on in the Skyrim Settings>Display menu?

is this safe to convert to ESL?

It should be. It's just a single small .esp file, and it's not used by any other mods.

This looks like a lot of fun! Will definitely be installed whenever I get home!

@Gristle Question: Is it cool if we submit new comments for the mod? I'd like to contribute some lines, but I won't if that's not something the mod author is interested in doing.

That's fine. Always happy to get new comment ideas, though I reserve the right to edit to be consistent with the general theme of Visio's mod, and also to be consistent with Visio's writing style in Public Whore. As you probably know, his writing in PW is very high quality and strikes a nice balance between being Skyrim immersive (i.e., Skyrim's fake-Norse, medieval setting), incorporating a wide variety of sex-related terms, while at the same time avoiding modern sex slang.

My comments in SLSF Fame Comments use vocabulary that is a bit more limited than these PW comments, as I was going for a very Skyrim-immersive experience with SLSF, but I have to say it was fun to match Visio's somewhat more explicit style more in this mod, though I really respect the choice to avoid modern sex slang. I know some would prefer it, and many dialogue mods have it, but it really takes me out of the Skyrim setting and seems anachronistic (and I think unnecessary, with some creative writing).

Cool! That makes sense. I'll check out the lines already in the mod to get a sense of the style you want and to make sure I don't suggest anything already there/too similar. I'll also put them in a text file so the forum doesn't become walls-of-text style posts.

Since you're checking it out, I won't touch it. But you might also fix some sentence constructions there in the meantime. In this mod's preview image 2, "When it is my turn to use that Dragonborn cunt?" should be "When's it my turn to use that Dragonborn cunt?"

@GristleApply contractions where appropriate and reorder "it" and "is." Hope to see what y'all come up with. I personally can't bear reading bad sentences lmao

Good catch, thanks. Typos really bother me too. I'll fix soon.  EDIT: Fixed in version 1.01.

Are these voiced? If not, this could be a good use case for ElevenLabs. There was a thread recently where people were offering their extra ElevenLabs tokens to help generate voice lines

Fantastic add on to PW mod and really adds to the atmosphere and playthrough. The only thing I noticed is that the guards seem to have a lot to say and quite frequently they're not in the immediate vicinity of my character (ie: within a range you'd expect them to be talking to you and passing a comment). Other NPC's seem to work fine upon passing.

Are they treated differently in anyway? - Not a major issue and, besides, there's a lot of guards around so maybe why I'm seeing more of the comments coming from them than anyone else.

I see the comments are also aware of the race of my character and appears to know if I'm wearing a yoke or not so was wondering (if not already planned/done) if it was able to hook into some of the flags within PW itself, such as number of days spent being the PW, number of clients left, whether you've had money stolen or not etc..

In anycase great addition, thanks for your efforts.

I only wrote down a few lines last night (work kept me busy), but I'll keep a lookout for typos too!

Not voiced, or at least not yet. But it might make sense to hold off a bit, as the comment set will likely grow over the next week or two.

Yes. Or at least I did on my PC and it's been working fine. It just adds additional random "Hello" and "Idle" and "Bump" comments. No scripts, so it's pretty bulletproof.

Thanks! Are these guard comments "Hello" comments in passing, or are they "Idle" comments (which are the ones that occur in the mod when the PC is in a Sexlab animation)? I have noticed that the latter are coming from folks in line of sight (because there's a LOS check) but who are a bit too far away (because there's not a distance check). I will add a distance check to these (800 units?), but let me know if you are seeing something else.

As for the "Hello" comments in passing, the approach/distance check on those is handled (and handled well, in my experience) by the vanilla "Hello" comment system, so hopefully no issues there. Also, in my experience, guards' vanilla "Hello" comments seem to be high priority, so guards give "Hello" comments (from mods) less frequently than other NPCs -- at least that's my experience from running SLSF Fame Comments for a couple of years, which uses the exact same "Hello" comment system.

Things like PC/speaker race, sex, clothing/armor, faction and job (and time of day and location and weather and lots of other Skyrim things) I can get from vanilla dialogue conditions.  I can also use variables from within PW as dialogue conditions, but only if they are so-called VMQuestVariables. Visio has set up a lot of these in PW, which I think are all as follows: (see spoiler)

Spoiler

MAIN INFO

* PC is PW here

* PC was PW here

* PC is PW anywhere

* PC is in enforced mode

* PC is naked

* PC is collared

* PC is yoked

* PC is gagged

* PC is thane here

* Punishment due

PW MCM INFO

* Gender preference (male, female, both)

* Beastiality enabled

* Followers/Guards/Beggars can approach

* PC can solicit

* current client pay

* overtime cut

* not paying chance

* weapons allowed

* stealing enabled

OTHER INTERESTING STUFF

* PC is DB, Arch-Mage, Harbinger, Companion, College mage, Dark Brotherhood, Listener, or TG Leader

* PC has joined Imperial or Stormcloak

* PC has slain Alduin

* Emperor is dead

* Civil war is won

* # of dragons slain

* Current PW hero fame

* PC armed

But, I can't hook into any PW variables that haven't been set up in this way to be read as dialogue conditions, so I can't condition dialogue on any of the things you mention. Otherwise, I've used a decent amount of the above variables already, but let me know if you have any suggestions for ways to use the above variables that may not be addressed by the current comments.

Looking at this list, interesting (currently unused) variables might be:

* PC is PW anywhere - Might be useable in cities where PC is not PW to hear rumors that PC is PW elsewhere.

* Punishment due - If due, NPCs can chastise PW for disobedience and warn/threaten PW of coming punishment

* PC can solicit - If enabled, NPCs can call PW eager, willing, etc.

* PC has joined Imperial or Stormcloak - Opposite faction can be more hostile/aggressive (but probably too limited, as most NPCs aren't in such factions).

They appeared to be idle but I noticed it within DragonsReach .. which there's a lot of guards, but didn't appear walking past me, most of them stationary, Thinking about it while i'm writing this I'm wondering if the comments were more noticeable whilst a sexlab animation was underway in which case given the location in dragonsreach where majority are guards that's likely why it seemed they were more vocal.

I did pay more attention on a walkabout through whiterun but didn't really observe it as much, so I think it's just down to me having to have been in an area populated by guards on my first playthrough.

I knew there'd be some technical term for it! :)  but sounds like you have it covered in anycase.

If there are more you think would be useful to have marked as conditional lmk and I'll try to flag them eventually

Thanks! I'll take a look. In the meantime, the current conditional variables provide plenty to work with.
