Hate - neutral - love? You're meaning 1-2-3 word variations? 1 word - only hand restraints, 2 - hand, gag and blindfold and 3 - fully bound.

When the draugr bind you with the shout during the quest to learn it you have 3 options befor they start the animation. "I hate it" "kinda hot" "I love it" or so.

Also since when do draugr pull out whips after binding the player with the shout?

Ah, that is your character reaction to it. The more embrace it - the faster you learn the word. You actually can deny learning it by hating it.

Whips are used when draugr arousal is too low for sex, so they teach some discipline instead.

Is the bookshelf trap unique to having Simple Slavery in the modlist, and is there any way to avoid it? I started with Simple Slavery, but I forgot to add consequence mods, and my load order is now full + many hours in this playthrough, so I'd rather keep it disabled... even though there isn't a built-in way to do this. Don't want to risk removing it, either.

Cool. I'm trying to learn the second word but all draugr shouts are too weak. Do I have to find a deathlord or so?

Just don't try to steal the key from Urag and buy the book normally to avoid it.

Yeah, or just practice it on enemies.

anyone else having this issue on latest version with Skyrim 1.6.640

When picking up or seeing black goo in an enemies inventory I get a CTD with "Unhandled exception "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION" at 0x7FF76DDEC3EC SkyrimSE.exe+0DBC3EC"

Fixed black goo texture there. Will likely be fixed in the next update to Unforgiving Devices (not an Unforgiving Skyrim bug)

I'm doing the Research Journal stuff. When it says she "needs time and gold", does it actually need time, or just gold?

You can also see message about how many days idle. If it's zero - then first of all time is needed. Naturally, it's good idea to drop a lot of gold into the chest.

"Good idea" 🤣.

That sentence is 100% arguable.

You spend half the time in this quest wondering why the hell you got messed into this... 😅

Thank you! that fix worked. Am new to both mods, so hadn't realised that the goo was part of UD and not US. Just had seen on the description for US about the research quest so presumed it had added the goo itself.

Hindsight being 20/20 and all I also realised if I had looked a little better at the trace in the crash log, it does show pretty well that the texture was the cause.

Check animation filter setting in the DD MCM.

Well, one of those mods is this one. To check it - use xEdit, you'll find records of the poison perk I've edited to add those effects to spiders, chaurus and falmers.

As always, to make sure my edits win over - esp has to be as low in load order as possible.

Hey, can u give me a better advise how to check it with xedit.?

I spent half the time coming up with different ways I will have my way with Nodaba once the questline is over and she's no longer useful. Shame there is no mod that lets you skin people and make them into leather hats. I would gladly kill the bitch and turn her into a hide helmet.

Trappings of fate like?

(Love that quest)

Here's the spells I've overridden from vanilla game to give them binding ability. On the right pane you can see that the last esp to edit them is mine. The same way you can check out any other esp and figure out what's what. If you're still lost - I'm quite sure there's plenty of tutorials on xEdit on Youtube.

The Abadon shout can break certain scripted events. During Wolf Queen Awakened I had to repeat the whole fight with Potema's inner council three times, because after getting hit by the shout and the draugr having their way with my character, the flow of the flight would break. First time I had the final Draugr Deathlord vanish after sex and since I was unable to kill him, the scene would not progress to the next stage. Second time one of the Wights was equipped with the shout and became aggressive immediately after whipping me and then having his way with my follower. Since I was still in binds, it was game over. Only after third reload none of the draugr was equipped with the shout and I could end them and progress to the next phase.

I bet various defeat mods would have hard time too here. I see no way to resolve this, unfortunately, so consider that fun derail maybe?

I'm still trying to figure out what I'm supposed to do once the Goo Research quest starts. It says talk to the alchemist, but no quest marker, and I can't find any mention of this mysterious alchemist's location. Tried using moveto command and placeatme command, nothing. It would be nice if anyone could help me figure out how to progress with the quest.

Any alchemist. There's a bunch of them. They have their shops. There is even one in Whiterun. She, too, runs a shop.

Thinking hurts, am I right?

Yeah, great, went to every single alchemist I could find. Even went to the one in solsthiem, none of them have any extra dialogue beyond vanilla.

Actually it's Arcadia, you should have the quest marker pointing to her.

Run "sqv US_GooResearch_Quest" in console and check if aliases are filled. If not - try new game.

All the aliases say NONE, but it says it's enabled, running, current stage 10, and priority 0.
