Nalessa Posted February 4 Posted February 4 It said first it needed black goo, and I added 50 to the chest. Then it said it needed concentrated goo and also added 50 to the chest. Now it says need more time and gold, several days have passed and put 25000 gold in it. I have gotten the alchemy, enchanting and book quest done too. Would I need to add more goo then, despite it not mentioning it anymore? I can just do some quests meanwhile, see if it changes after some more time has passed and add more gold, but if I see no changes after that I'll try the console command.
kurotatsu Posted February 5 Author Posted February 5 Don't be greedy, put all the goo you have in the chest, it's used for all the research, as well as research points (these come with time) and gold. Some research also require additional materials, you'll get hints about them. Gold and 2 goo types are by default, needed all of them. To see if you have spare research points - see n day(s) idle in the report when you read it. If it's non-zero - you have some to spare.
Nalessa Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Just for testing, I added 10000 of black goo and concentrated goo and a million gold and 2 random dragon nuts I found on a dragon that attacked when walking over to the house lol, waited a couple days, still says needs more time and gold with 0 days idle. Used the console command this time

I'm asking because 0 time idle means you have zero research points, which are generated by ingame time. If you waited but still it's at zero - means you have some mod that messes up the ingame timer used to calculate this. Same problem would arise with Urag too, he has his gold income counted similar way. Edited February 6 by kurotatsu
Nalessa Posted February 6 Posted February 6 As far as I know I don't have any mod that affects ingame time, it progress normally. Urag seems to work fine, every day I can go to him for more testing and he'll give a new test and gold.

The problem is obviously you not getting the research points, which are staying at zero. All of that logic is in script tied to the logbook.

Not a problem, it's all handled in the script. Problem is that somehow research points timer is not updating in your game, thus you are not getting them. Probably can purloin some via pqv console commands, but I'm unsure it will work for the item script and not the quest one.

You can have that insufferable high-elven cunt identify stuff in bulk if you dump your entire inventory inside the chest, go to a tavern and sleep through the night. Useful if you use vanilla alchemy tree, less so with something like Ordinator, since you only need two perks and alchemy 30 to be able to identify all effects yourself. Still you can save one perk point if you're short (and you will be with something like Vokriinator Black). Never tested it with CACO though. It will probably still work, since I once tossed custom ingredients from Skyrim Underground inside and it was fine. Edited February 7 by belegost 1

What i don't really want to do is to be hit by the abadon shout 12 times in a row again to learn it by the draugr because i find it tedious (being a dom myself, i only intend to use it on other women in the game, not myself), so is there an actual way to unlock the shout via console command? I tried the "player.addshout" followed by the id of the abadon shout, it work, but it's obviously not unlocked. So then i tried to do "player.unlockword" followed by the id of the first word... and "error, wrong paramter for word of power 'ID' is not a word of power." So, yeah... apparently the game do not recognize the abadon shout as a shout, and i don't really want to do the thing with the draugr shouting at me (i've done it plenty of times on other saves, i just want it to be done now) Any help?

Player.additem xx246633 where xx is US mod ID in the load order. You'll need to have dragon souls. I intend to add ability to get the book through play later.

But then again i have another mod that give me access to any objects a mod add, and for UnforgivingSkyrim, i see no object that can teach the spell so maybe i don't have a version that implement it yet.

Quick and easy fix with QuickChange script for bulk editing. The script works fine in SE and AE versions of xEdit. Thanks again @kurotatsu for the pointer, I would've never thought to look under that specific record and would probably wasted 2 days in NifScope trying to figure out it if there was something wrong with the mesh file. Please make sure you are using the latest US version from the GitHub, it's one of the latest additions.

I didn't even know there was a github of this, but after searching i found this page GitHub - kurotatsu77/UnforgivingSkyrim: Extension to Unforgiving Devices mod by iHateMyKite · GitHub and downloaded the mod from there, but then again, still no luck about the additem, still say that parameter for ObjectId doesn't exist.
