xyzxyz Posted June 10, 2025 Posted June 10, 2025 Don't you think the abadon weapons are a bit too common? I'm fighting forsworn right now and basically every one of them has an abadon bow or sword.

When you wear something to improve magic resistance - it goes even lower. So I'm quite happy to see then in the wild in hands of NPCs, which adds small chance for fun things to happen. 1

That may explain why my breton never got hit IIRC so far. Good to know When I forged a weapon with the effect I got a 14% chance.
belegost Posted June 12, 2025 Posted June 12, 2025 Considering that vanilla dart traps have been converted to goo traps, would that also work for dart traps added via other mods? I assume the answer is yes, since this appears to be a complete mesh replacer, but I'd like to know for certain. Is there a mod you know that adds more dart traps to vanilla dungeons? I already use subliminal traps to actually get caught, but that's not enough. There aren't that many of them around actually and since I've been playing this game for 13 (almost 14 now) years, I pretty much know the location of majority of them. I need more fun surprises.

As long as they use the original magic effect - it would work, it's done via overwriting the ME. Same way spiders and falmers got their ability too. I saw one fun mod which was adding traps, it was using invisible actor to run along navmesh and spread traps. It was really long time ago, so I forgot it's name. It was janky as hell, but worked to some degree. 1

belegost Posted June 13, 2025 Posted June 13, 2025 (edited) During Goo Research quest, after eating Concentrated Black Goo in front of Nodaba, if the player will be equipped with mittens or any other device that blocks picking up items, they will not receive the key. "Locked in bondage mittens, you cannot pick up the item" The key will not be placed in player's inventory nor will it be dropped on the ground, to be picked up later. It will cease to exist. This in effect blocks progress, unless the door to the house is opened via console or the key is added via AddItemMenu. Edited June 13, 2025 by belegost

I think I managed to pick up the key from the floor when it happened to me... Maybe I'll add safeguard in form of unlocking the door via script...

Maybe I'll add safeguard in form of unlocking the door via script... I had this happen twice on two different characters. First time I didn't even notice and had an unpleasant surprise when I wasn't able to get into the house. I can't recall what the character got equipped with at the time, just that she didn't have the key. Thought of reporting it then, but decided it may have been some script fuckery or lag or whatever, and since I had nothing concrete except "key gone, mod bad", it wasn't worth it. Second time was as I described, just today. She got equipped with those new fancy bondage mittens from DDNG. Nodaba had a conversation with Hulda, then handed over the key and ran out. Except I didn't get it, nor did it drop on the floor. The mittens notification showed up, there was this "click" sound as if it had been dropped but it did not materialise. And in case it might have been somewhere but hidden: I use Better Third Person Selection. If it had been on the floor, it would've activated if I had hovered anywhere near it. EDIT: And while we're at it, could you make a chest upstairs into a safe container? I'm fed up with stashing all my stuff into that dresser downstairs. Edited June 13, 2025 by belegost

I´m using it as a method to spice up the dungeon crawling with my 3600 hours in Skyrim. Just make sure to disable the devious traps parts and cursed items since they are really buggy. And disable the restart on failure, since in some dungeons that can lead to a huge spam of traps and enemies. If you do that you get some extra fun in dungeons.

You can use the chest for the quest stuff for safekeeping. It will use gold to uncover ingredient effects, but everything else is perfectly safe.

baitlob Posted June 17, 2025 Posted June 17, 2025 currently having crashes when bound in the "bound cunt" bondage gear from calcelmo and then try and talk to anyone... using DD NG 4.1, Sexlab P+ 2.15.7, when trying to struggle out of the bound cunt gear it crashes, when talking to someone while wearing it, it crashes. but only when the full set is on, not just the collar. also had similar problems with talking with Urag, it crashes as soon as I talk to him if the quest is active.. i've checked the papyrus logs and can't find anything that stands out as consistent between the crashes. Unforgiving devices by itself works great, all the minigames, the abadon plug, shouts and weapons all work fine. Synthesis has never worked for me, it errors out before it even starts compiling; so if the devices in this unpatched are the problem, i'll just not use this mod 'till i can figure out what's breaking synthesis.
kurotatsu Posted June 17, 2025 Author Posted June 17, 2025 Well, all custom devices in this mod are fully made to work with the latest UD. What is Skyrim version you use, what versions of UD and US used? Those crashed make me think about wrong versions in play.

belegost Posted June 17, 2025 Posted June 17, 2025 What determines whether or not Urag wants to conduct "testing"? He keeps saying he has no gold, even though he keeps buying goo.

Buy off goes for credit, so he ends up in negative figures, which he has to work off. Give him a several days, he'll get around to it

Give him a several days, he'll get around to it For the money I got from selling goo, I bought Proudspire Manor with all furnishings, cleared all School Masters of their spell tome inventory, ordered a full set of double enchanted gear from Sergius Turianus (Honed Metal) and have enough left to pursue a habit of becoming a skooma junkie (Skooma Whore). All that with 100% inflated prices (Trade & Barter). I think his grand-grand-grandchildren's children are still going to pay off interest in a century or so. I can't wait that long. The game only runs for 3 years before the calendar ends and funny shit starts to happen. Edited June 18, 2025 by belegost
belegost Posted July 14, 2025 Posted July 14, 2025 If Hulda gets stuck on furniture during whipping the scene will not progress. Went to Nodaba with Concentrated Goo, ate it, the whipping commenced, Hulda gave her the key and then she got stuck between Simir sitting on a bench and that big fireplace in the main hall. She was spinning around trying to path out. I had no control over the character nor did Nodaba do anything. Finally I consoled Hulda to me and she was able to walk away. Only then did the scene resume.
belegost Posted July 18, 2025 Posted July 18, 2025 Man, Forelhost suddenly became much, much more difficult. Half the ghost Dragon Cultists there had the shout. And they were not pacified after using it.

It would mean they are detected as females. No. They just used shouts as part of combat, alongside magic. Completely different routine than say, draugr. Draugr usually will only shout once in a while. If player gets bound, they commence all the pleasantries, the fight stops. Those guys used it often and would not stop fighting. I think one hit me 3 times while still chasing and in combat, before I got a hobble dress and could not run away anymore. Then it would keep attacking until Defeat kicked in, and it actually broke it, since appareny it was not a valid attacker for a sexual assault. But that's different issue and not relevant here. There were no notifications at all. The one using shout was a mage and from the looks I think it was a female, but hard to tell over that overlay all ghosts have. EDIT: I looked them up and I'm talking specifically about those guys: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Dragon_Cultist They are only present in the first area and are unique to this dungeon. Further on the regular draugr are present and they did not have the shout. Based on the information from this page, I think the one that kept hitting me with Abadon shout was a spellsword female, BaseID: 000CD642. I went there in late 20's, so they all had the level to match, and quite a hefty HP pool, if that matters. Edited July 19, 2025 by belegost

Probably you were too busy to notice those messages popping up in the upper left corner of the screen, females are not pacified, so it works as it should. Only one weird thing in here - is massively reduced shout cooldown, but I would blame it to some combat or magic/shout overhaul mod you're running. Otherwise - works as intended.
