Then is there a way to force all monster to all male?

By editing the code, for sure. A monster's gender is pre-determined at init time and set as a number from 0-3. whereas 0 means "not yet set" and will roll a number, 1 is male, 2 is female and 3 is futanari. You could change the code, located in `/scripts/sexbound/override/monster.lua` in the "Sexbound.Monster.new()" method, to always set it to 1.

I'm sorry i don't get to modding or editing the code but I can't find it in Sexbound Config file or it located somewhere else?

Nope. The feature is hardcoded, not configurable.

Hello, I'm kind of new to mods and I'm having some trouble. I thought I'd try SBR but I can't seem to have sex with any NPC's. I have a female player and my understanding was that if I lay down on an applicable piece of furniture (with the heart applied to it) a horny NPC would have sex with me. When I lie down, I get naked, the interface appears, all that works but NPC's show no interest. They're also not interested in using the furniture themselves. I tried calling the slu 2go service and hiring a male. Now he's walking around my house, but he won't have sex with me when I lie on the bed. He's even kicked me out of bed to sleep a few times. I can have sex with a dildo on the wall though. I feel like I'm doing something wrong but after going through all the documentation and a few pages of this topic I can't find the solution. Can anyone help?

NPCs arousal gain in SBR has been lowered by a huge amount compared to original SxB. In the current version, an NPC takes several hours to become horny (only counting time during which he is loaded in the game, i.r. essentially on your screen at all time). This rate been adjusted to more sane levels in the upcoming update 1.1, until then you can freely adjust the "naturalHorninessRate" in the main config file yourself.

Other than that, instead of waiting for NPCs to become horny, you can use mods like Aphrodite's Bow, EBs Lovely Whips or Lewdbound, which all offer weapons/tools with which you can forcibly control NPCs into sexual interaction.

As a final note, as you mentioned the Lustbound hookers - as far as I remember their gimmick was that for them the arousal gain is multiplied by 3 or something - which would still be up to a few hours - but I don't even know if that works in SBR anymore; never tested with them to be honest. Since the feature was for the old Naturally Horny mod, which is now integrated (but different in implementation) into SBR.

This item is part of this mod right? How do you apply these? I've tried with different tables and beds, both vanilla and modded and neither t2 or t3 work. How do you use these?

They are from Sexbound, yes. You apply them to a compatible furniture (primarily normal beds) and then you can use them to interact with the furniture for sex. If the furniture is not compatible you shouldn't be able to apply them, I think.

You need to, however, keep two things in mind. First: Interaction is finicky. Applying an addon to a furniture enables double use of that furniture. That means, if you click on the actual (e.g.) bed, you lie in it to sleep, kicking anyone having sex out. (can also happen with NPCs trying to sleep at night). When you click the addon itself, which is usually only possible at the highest border of the hitbox - aka. where the hearts themselves display - you interact with the sexnode and can have sex.

Also, these addons only apply functionality to compatible base game furniture. As I said, mostly beds. Furniture from other mods is obviously not supported by default, and furniture that solely exists for sex in the first place also does nothing. Tables, by default, only have sex interaction. There is also a Sexbound specific variant of every addon compatible furniture, that looks the same but only has sex functionality (without addon) - these you have to unlock and craft yourself though, they do not spawn in the world.

Thought so.  I tried with a few but nothing worked. Thank you.

Are you also having issues with the Tier 1 object, or is this issue specific to Tier 2-3?
Also of note, did you try the "Apex Wooden Bed"?

Posted

Just Tier 2 and 3. I tried a few beds and tables but found they work with the vanilla Avian Sacrificial Altar. I think it was just being very picky?

No I haven't tried apex wooden bed.

Commenting in response to HyperJuni regarding the Neki Race Support :

Have just a few mods installed, experiencing animation errors, likely due to the patch being made for the original Sexbound, not Sexbound Reborn. I suspect it's something to do with other errors being thrown by the patch, so I'll drop my error here. Please let me know if you need more information, I would love to help resolve this issue :)

  • The climax bar doesn't go back down until the characters climax for a long time, changed the numbers a bit to save time.
  • NPC auto climax is enabled but does not trigger, only manually clicking the top button in the UI will trigger climax.
  • Pregnancy does not want to proc at all.

Have tried traditional methods, subgenders, all result in dialogue and animation errors. I'm fairly new to poking around the codebase so I don't entirely know what I am doing yet, so it's a bit difficult to fix it myself.

Apologies for not posting on GitHub, I'm hoping to get some pointers here as I don't really see any issues reported regarding race compatibility.

Here's my modlist and log, if you want me to redirect this to the Issue tracker, I will gladly do so when I have time.

StarExtensions is installed by the way, never seemed to have a problem with it

Steam:

  • Neki Race Mod
  • Peglaci Character Extender

Let's see.

Issue number one: You have Sexbound Extended Dialogues installed. I don't know which version of SBR you are running, considering that the first error in the log is missing neki dialogue files - which existed in the first 1.0 release of SBR (and I guess I accidentally readded in one of the later versions) but got fixed down the line - so it might be an older version, but since SBR 1.0_r1 it is integrated into SBR, and running the old mod just breaks notification dialogues.

Also holy heck why is the traceback for that dialogue file over 100 steps long.

Issue number two: Nothing in this log hints at another error. So I don't know what animation errors you are talking about. Need further description.

Issue number three: Climax bar. What exactly did you do, what happens and what are you expecting to happen to classify this as an error?

EDIT: WAIT. You say "the button at the top of the UI" and the bar not going down until they are at it for a while. Are you pressing the bar itself or actually the devider between the two bars? In case of the latter, you are triggering a scripted climax. As the name suggests, this is a special climax involving all actors simultaneously (hence only being able to be triggered when atleast two actors are at 100%) and - the scripted part - runs on it's very own pre-determined logic. This logic runs on a timer, not the climax gauge. As such the gauges do not decrease normally, but just snap to 0 after the script is done. Your config set timing values also have no effect on this.

Issue number four: NPC auto-climax. In the current version of SBR, NPC auto-climax does not exist for as long as a player is present.

Issue number five: Pregnancies. Since the log contains no debug logging (as logs for error reports need to), I have no idea what you are doing and what is happening. But I'mma gonna make an assumption. Since the Neki dialogue error triggers, one of the actors is a Neki. But Ill assume the other actor is not a Neki. In that case, by default, no pregnancy can happen as the Neki race is not natively compatible with any other race, and I assume you neither set turned off the compatible partner only setting nor edited the "compatibleSpecies" table in the config file.

Thanks for the feedback!

Issue number one: I tried this with and without Sexbound Extended Dialogues installed, should have specified that. I am running SBR version 1.0_r1h1-source. Not sure about the traceback, I deliberately restarted Starbound to demonstrate the bug so the log would be shorter.

Issue number two: Ah, I see. Those animation errors did not occur when I restarted the game, maybe because I didn't try as many positions as I did the previous execution (See attachments for a snippet from the previous execution. the modlist has not changed, same character). The only thing I did was using StarExtensions to change the player's gender and using the Sexbound menu to change subgender. If I understand correctly, both my player and the NPC were causing dialogue errors.

Issue number three: Might have been an oversight, w/ the original Sexbound iirc the bar depletes after climax triggers, in my experience the Sexbound Reborn climax bars for both actors stay at full for an extended period of time and then simply drop down to 0 afterward. My player and an NPC had sex, waited for the climax bar to rise, clicked the button and observed how the bar reacted.
EDIT: Thank you for the clarification, I did not realize I was triggering a scripted climax.

Issue number four: Thank you for the clarification on NPC auto-climax, I'll keep that in mind. :thumbsup:

Issue number five: Okay, after a lot of testing, it seems that setting the Sexbound.config immersion level to 0 (default was 1 when I first posted) doesn't really tell me anything about whether or not the player is pregnant. The only way I was able to determine that my player is pregnant was with pregnancy tests.
- I tried Neki and Neki, Cuntboy Player w/ Male and Female Player w/ Male. I managed to get the pregnancy to trigger after messing with the pregnancy config a bunch. I turned off "enablePregnancyHazards" (although there isn't one that applies to Neki in the code atm), I turned off "enableCompatibleSpeciesOnly", I turned on "enableFreeForAll" (as I noted before, shouldn't* have any bearing on Female Neki w/ Male Neki though).

As for the "compatibleSpecies" table, Neki is listed as follows:

  "compatibleSpecies": {
    "apex": [],
    "avian": [],
    "fenerox": [],
    "floran": [],
    "glitch": [],
    "human": [],
    "hylotl": [],
    "novakid": [],
    "penguin": [],
    "neki": [],
    "neko": [],
    "felin": []
  },

... *sigh* ffs. The references to neki dialogue are actually still in, even in 1.0_r1h1. However, I don't think that's any problem (other than error log spam). Good news though, I apparently finally removed it from my local files so it'll be gone by 1.1.

Now, for the rest. Issue number two: Still not seeing any relevant errors. So unless you can give me a description on what is visibly going wrong, I don't know how to help.

Issue three: Again, there are two completely different, independent types of climax. The first is triggered by clicking the climax bar of an actor itself, resulting in that actor only going into climax state while depleting the climax bar. The other option is clicking the divider button between two climax bars, resulting in a scripted climax with all actors. The bar does not normally deplete here as it's an entirely different logic running on a simple timer. That feature also existed in OG SxB, the only oversight there was it never having any purpose or functionality. In SBR, it works as intended. Check the UI Guide to learn more.

Issue number five: Yeah thats the empty list. In order to make different species compatible, you have to fill out that list. E.g. to make a Neki able to impregnate a human, you'd have to add ' neki: ["human"] ' in that list and vice versa. Check the Wiki Settings Section for more information. However, as you are saying both actors are Neki that doesn't matter - same-species sex is always compatible. You are saying that you are taking on the role of female in this scenario though. In which case additional conditions apply, like the ovulation cycle. You can read more on that in the Mechanics Guide,

As you are saying that you are snooping around the code already I assume you can understand basic debug outputs, so by turning on debug level logging you would also get useful information on what's going on - or wrong - in the log.

Ah, my bad, didn't really know how to do that. Beyond Immersion level being set to 0 for more info which did not seem to work for me.

Thanks.

The solution is either to follow the Advanced Troubleshooting Guide or providing us with the proper information we need to actually help you. Like the log file.

Coming here to report an apparent bug a friend found while testing the release candidate version.
Apparently you get stuck on the birthing pose when your baby is a stillborn, which my friend said they cannot leave by pressing esc or other normal buttons.

image.png.c235e3ed8cd153204eb08ccd460a126f.png

He got lucky orinally with the vanilla stillborn chance to discover this; He then tried a normal birth and didn't get stuck; Trying with 100% stillborn chance made the event occur again, so it must be correlated.
Keep the good work!

I'll need a log with the proper debug logging enabled, and I'd like to ask you to add that to the GitHub issue for 1.1 pregnancies.

We are not the most experienced with debug logs and that, but we've got the log file here.

We've found a part of the log that might be linked to the bug, but again, we have no real idea. Here it is, if you wish to look it more specifically.

Spoiler
  1. [11:14:57.935] [Error] Could not load image asset '/artwork/overlays/overlay1.png:position-birthing.r', using placeholder default. A little confusing, but the part that seems the fishiest to me is highlighted.

I've sent it here first instead of GitHub right away since I was not sure; If this log is correct, you may let me know and I put it there.

Yeah, thank you for the reply - however, I already did some testing myself (since you said it can be 100% reproduced), found the issue and fixed it before releasing the 1.1 update. So this can be considered done.
