Hello yall some help would be very appreciated, I tried to put the mod in my mod folder but Im not seeing any codex or item in my inventory that I should have upon spawning. Here is my log if that helps, I'd really like to know if Im doing something wrong.

file:///C:/Users/treem/Downloads/New folder/steamapps/common/Starbound/storage/starbound.log

That's not a logfile, that's a file URL to your local machine, doxxing your windows username, silly! That would be error number one. We'll continue this after getting an actual log to look at.

Hi I am trying to replace the original Sexbound Mod with this new Sexbound Reborn version.

I downloaded the new files and patches and placed them in my mod folder, but it wont work properly.

When I initiate sex no UI shows up and the nude characters just stand around doing nothing.

My Log file shows only these 3 kinds of error messages:

Spoiler

I'm pretty sure the issue with climaxes spawning was specifically fixed in Reborn, are you sure you have Reborn, updated to the latest 1.0 release?

If so, you may wanna file a issue in GitHub, and if possible, try to nag the person behind StarExtensions to stop crashing your game ?

Latest version of both mods, star extensions fucks with a lot of starbounds base code, and considering the mess that is starbound already they probably interact very very poorly with this kinda stuff. Ill file an issue.

The solution to your problem is quiet simple: You don't have Sexbound installed!

Please read the wiki on how to properly install mods.

So I installed SBR, and with the latest version of SxB, The Saturnian patch worked just fine. While messing with the files, I noticed that there were config files that the patch was missing counterpart patch files for, and I was wondering if this might have caused issues with the port. I even tried to go in and manually add as many race support features into the configs as I could, but currently this has neither has an apparent positive or negative effect, leading me to think the issue is the problem stated earlier. I'll upload a log file after I reinstall all of the mods in the morning, but if the info I have already is enough to make doing so obsolete, I'd be fine with that too.

I'm mostly looking for a solution that isn't time consuming, like updating the mod myself, but given I have very few mods installed (FU, Saturnians, and already approved mods which I know are working fine), I can really only hope for a confirmation of my suspicions

I am also aware that someone has stated that the saturnian mod was causing them issues, so I'm mostly looking for a place to start in terms of updating if I decide to do that

Got the log file. Main error occurs on line 176, but smaller errors at 142, 150, 165, and 196. Error on 205 seems irrelevant. I'm not proficient in C++, so I can't accurately locate the exact problem in the code, but I can see that the openUI function is the issue. I'll look into the files more to see if I can find where the function is imported from.

So... are you asking for help with "Normal" Sexbound in the Reborn Thread, or are you actually using Reborn? Because if you're using Reborn, you're missing the patches for both Lustbound and the Aphrodite's Bow, otherwise, this error isn't because of Reborn.

If that is indeed "normal" Sexbound, it's because you seem to have the Reborn version of "TeratoScenes" installed. The latest version (Prefixed SxB) is meant for Reborn and the previous one, for Normal Sexbound.

I am using the patches and reborn, but I might have installed them incorrectly. After looking back on this thread, page 2 has someone having an issue with the openUI function as well, and their issue was a missing patch. Reinstall everything I need to and get back with a definitive answer.

Ok so after doing some installs, I may have had a eureka. I combined the files together on install, as I'm pretty new to SB modding. This most likely led to the confusion with which version I was using.

Hello, hello! Just curious, is there a way to make all women in my universe(other than my character, of course) futanari? For, ah, research purposes, of course.

Only way I can immediately think of would be editing the species file patch for every race and add "sxbSubGender": "futanari" to the female gender declaration, then manually change your player's sub-gender back to "none" in the customizer.

Thanks for the response!(And side note, I'm glad this community is still here!)
I went snooping around in the patches, and couldn't find the female gender declaration at all.
I hate to be a bother, but could you possibly provide the location of the files I need to mess with?

/species/<speciesname>.species.patch

In there you add

{
	"op": "add",
    "path": "/genders/<female gender number>/sxbSubGender",
    "value": "futanari"
}

With the number for the female gender usually being 1, but you'd have to check this for sure (especially for custom species) in the respective base species file.

After fixing the install of SxBR, (I had both SxB and SxBR installed at the same time, just like the page tells me not to :/), I found that teratodefeat no longer works properly. I'm unsure if it is teratodefeat or SxB defeat causing it, but the actors just stand apart... awkwardly... and the UI doesn't come up. The creature does turn into a sex node though, so it might not even be defeat.

You have two versions of TeratoScenes, with the older one overriding the newer one. You also improperly installed the patches for Lustbound and Aphrodite's Bow. And finally, you have a stray sexbound mods folder lying around that might cause trouble.

Firstly, FUCK. I thought I had fixed those issues with the patches. The patches are unedited, so I can absolutely fix those in a heartbeat, so I just need a bit of a pointer for where to find install advice. Secondly, I'm not sure where the second teratoscenes is coming from, so I will send a screenshot of the mod folder.

Edit: while typing I may have noticed where the conflict is stemming from with terato, as I have SxB_-_TemTems_Teratoscenes.pak, as well as TeratophiliaScenes.pak

Hello hello! I'm back to bother.
I tried reinstalling the mod and looking through other mods, but I appear to be getting the error,
[Error] [string "/scripts/sexbound/override/npc.lua"]:25: attempt to call a nil value (upvalue 'Sexbound_Old_Update')
over and over again.
This only happens in the Outpost, and I have no idea what's causing it- whatever it is, though, makes all NPCs in the Outpost stand dead still & un-interactable.

(Oh, and thanks for the help earlier!)

you also got two version of Fuchsia installed and two versions of Sexbound (sexbound reborn and sexbound-latest.src.zip)

The dupes you see are either patches or backups. The zip file (from what I can tell) has no effect on the game. And the dupe of fuchsia is a patch for reborn support. I'll check the mod folders and see if I do have to combine the folders, but doing so has caused me issues before, so I'm hesitant.

So I found something that MAY have been causing issues. I'm not too confident though, given I am inexperienced, but I noticed that both the lustbound and Aphrodites bow patches were in an extra folder inside of the folder in the mods folder. Basically most of the mods are in a folder in the mods folder, but these two were in a folder in a folder in the mods folder.

Fuchsia has no patch 0.3.3 is the same as 0.3.2 just fixed up for reborn so having both will cause issues
