I don't know of any specific mods I can identify to cause this specific error - maybe red knows more - otherwise your only option will be to hunt down the offending mod yourself. Which means backing up your player and universe savefiles, removing them, then starting with a fresh, clean install of only SBR and re-adding all your other mods one by one until the error pop up.

FeatherlessBiped Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 Ok so I've been trying and trying and trying again to get this shit to work, but I've hit a brick wall. I've deleted and reinstalled every mod in my mod folder and on the workshop (it took way longer than it should have), and I'm ready to surrender and ask for help. The issue I'm having wasn't happening before. It honestly just seemed to happen after a while of all my files working in harmony, until my sprite started to not exist. The ui doesn't pop up, the sprites don't appear, and my sanity is non-existent. I did manage to fix the Aphrodite mod, but lustbound is being a migraine. I've read through the wiki on how to install it, followed the instructions, with the only difference I can find being my installation of the extra addon mods. I also tried to delete these mods, but it spawned a new error. The second log shows this error. It also didn't do anything to fix the original error, so that's a no-go. TL;DR: I'm out of ideas, and I need help. starbound.log starbound (1).log

FeatherlessBiped Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 (edited) Ok so, the mod associated with the error is... Frackin Universe... I had a gut feeling, since I found out a while ago that the 'children' key mentioned at the end of the error is (I believe) referring to what tech nodes are unlocked as researchable when a parent is researched. I'm just gonna hope and pray that by some divine intervention, I or someone else can come up with a fix, but for now, I still do have an issue with the actual UI, not to do with FU. Alterdude13 Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 Is there a way so that crew members also become horny & use sex nodes when horny?
FeatherlessBiped Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 4 minutes ago, Alterdude13 said: Is there a way so that crew members also become horny & use sex nodes when horny? The Naturally Horny mod does this, but the mod is integrated into SxBR by default. You can tweak the rate at which they get horny in the config files, but I'm not sure which one. A quick way to search would be to Ctrl f and search "arousal" in each config.
Alterdude13 Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 I'm having trouble with climax. According to the configs, male should gain in their cum-meter faster, and both parties should ejaculate automatically upon reaching 100 in the bar, but it's not happening. What could be causing this?

I'm not sure what the 2 numbers in the "range" mean... Really? Last i heard from people who used that mod they claimed fervorously it was necessary, so that's a peculiar twist. The range implies they gain between ["this amount" and "that amount"] i believe, that's usually what a range means.

I'm just gonna hope and pray that by some divine intervention, I or someone else can come up with a fix, but for now, I still do have an issue with the actual UI, not to do with FU. Ok, so. The FU "error" you're mentioning isn't an error. It's just the notification of a patch failing. This is an "error" I see pop up in, like, everyones log files, so either this is Sayter looking into the future, supplying a patch that will forcibly alter behaviour other mods might add, or just a bad patch in general, who knows. Either way, it is utterly irrelevant. The only actual error that something, somewhere, is supplying bad values to Starbound's util random function. To be exact, the "randomIntInRange" list, which apparently gets supplied a range with only one and not two entries. Seeing as you are stating that Sexbound doesn't work at all (no UI, no sprites), I am going to assume that this originates from Sexbound. Have you, per chance, fiddled with the configs and edited some values? Specifically, some values that are defined as a range? --------------------------------------------------------------------- 10 hours ago, Alterdude13 said: Yeah, I figured it out I believe- In normal Sexbound I needed the villager patch, but once I removed it, everything started working. I'm not sure what the 2 numbers in the "range" mean... Range values are always simple to understand. It's a range, after all, ranging from the minimum (value 1) to the maximum (value 2). In the case of the natural arousal gain, in the current version that means any entity upon initialization randomly chooses a value between this min and max values to set as their arousal gain, which is then added every second to their arousal. Yes, in the current version the default values are all over the place, and it would take an NPC several hours of constantly being loaded to become horny, so changing these values might be advised. 7 hours ago, Alterdude13 said: Is there a way so that crew members also become horny & use sex nodes when horny? Crewmembers, just like any other NPC too, are sexbound enabled. However, there is a couple of things to note. A: NPCs only update when they exist, i.e. they are loaded in. In the form of crewmembers that means you have to be on your ship the entire time. B: In case you are running FU, they add their own fully non-sexable NPC types. This for most users becomes most notable with cremembers, who become non-sexable 95% of the time. C : Crewmembers are special, as they are the only NPC with the native ability to switch worlds (i.e. beam up and down with the player). However, they actually don't. What the game does in that case is remove the original NPC from existence, store a vague reference on the player, then spawn in an identical clone when the player next loads in on a new world. "Identical clone" here means as far as vanilla Starbound stuff is concerned. This is to be treated as a completely new NPC, so all pregnancies and all already gained arousal will be removed and reset. And there is no safely usable way around this to my knowledge, so crewmembers (or any kind of "moving" NPC) will always be wonky. Just like monsters, who also just spawn in, walk around a bit, get out of sight and despawn. 7 hours ago, Alterdude13 said: I'm having trouble with climax. In the current version of SBR, NPC auto-climax is always disabled for as long as a player is present, and the player is in control (i.e. not raped as part of Sexboun defeat). This has been changed on common request in the upcoming version 1.1. 1
