yes... it seems it happens with one of the animations...the tentacles are deformed and look like they are coming from the wall and not the ground

It looks like something is wrong with your install of Estrus.

Make sure you have the right version installed for SE.

What is the chance of transferring a parasite to a NPC and is there anyway to edit the percentage? I seem to be unable to transfer a parasite from the player to a NPC and I want to test further.

I don't think I made that chance of transfer editable yet.

 

If I remember well, Tentacle monsters or Living armors can transfer during sex with a potential host. That's about it.

It's a fungal infection. It starts with the hands. After a while, it should spread to other body parts automatically.

 

A big thing I want to change this year is to make the progression of all 'flare' and changes from parasites more predictable.

For example, once a week for spriggan parts, once a day for chaurus eggs, etc.

 

Right now, it is too random and confusing (when it is not plain broken).

I have tried testing with tentacle monsters and living armors but I doesn't seem to be able to transfer to a potential host after multiple tries. The chaurus and spider parasites are working as intended for NPCs so I am not sure what is preventing the transfer. Are there any conditions to satisfy in order for the parasite to transfer?

Hi! I have a problem I can't seem to figure out. For some reason, any of the body parasites are invisible when equipped in game, like the living armour or spriggan body. The other pieces work fine. I've built and rebuilt it in bodyslide, redownloaded the textures, to no avail.

Check the Device Hider menu option for Devious Devices. That's probably causing the issue.

Hey, just transformed with the seed stone and ever since I cant equip items because it says my hands are tied. Theres nothing by DD equipped except the armor, mask and such. When I turn off the Chaurus armor my hands are also invisible. Also, when I travel or enter an instance my screen goes black but the game runs normally behind that. I can see my Hud, monsters detect and attack me and I can move around, the screen is just black. Reloading sometimes fixes it but it happens with every transition which is pretty annoying. Thankful for any input

Which version of DD NG do you have?

You may also wish to go to your console and click on you PC and type inv, make sure nothing is in your inv that was not removed when it should not, how you tell is you wont see a name, also save before you do that just in case

v0.4.2.7 but I had it disabled, thinking it broke something. turns out it was just device hider settings that were messing with ddng. anyway, enabling it fixed pretty much everything, the hands thing was some broken item that I could remove thanks to tonitrulupus  advice, thanks for that as well. Just finished the fight with the queen and got the body armor, question about that: whenever enemies start searching for me my char auto equips the bound chaurus claw in the right hand. As Im not really wanting to use it its pretty annoying, any way to disable this? TY

It cannot be disabled right now but it will be soon.

Other people have requested that feature.

I'm also having issues with framerate, though admittedly some of it might be related to Milk Mod interactions, as those are when the framerate is the worst. That said, don't think that accounts for all the frame issues I'm having, any tools or advice for finding out what's causing it? Because i'm somewhat consistently getting hitches dropping to 6 fps in an unupgraded breezehome.

Heya! I've just had my first run in with the Living Armor ("Gum Osta Itinere"?), but I think the mod might be bugged for me - it's very aggressive with how frequently it triggers animations. I feel like I can barely make it any distance anywhere between each trigger, it's very oppressive. I don't see any settings in the MCM for trigger frequency, and I have to assume this is unintended. Any idea what might be the cause, I have no idea what the trigger is meant to be :s

I see that there was a previous bug for "Parasite events threshold becomes negative and triggers events too often", which seems to have been fixed a while ago (2023). The version of this mod I have downloaded seems to be SE 2025 01 05, so I don't reckon it's that (though potentially related?). Thanks for any help or ideas!

There still a bug around frequency of events.

Try setting the Flares timer to a minimum value for now.

I am just about done setting things up on a new machine and I will be able to test my own mods again very soon.

Devious device issue, go in its MCM device under an disable everything there

If possible, through the console. The Queen doesn't appear when the key is activated.

That usually means you have a mod changing dragons loaded after Parasites.

Make sure to load Parasites after anything touching dragons.

 

It is not possible to trigger the queen by console yet but I can track down the quest stage if you want to skip that part and still complete the quest.

 

It should be:

 

setstage SLP_QST_QueenOfChaurus 400
