I noticed that I'd been having my corruption raised without meeting any of the conditions listed in the corruption settings page, seemingly accompanied by the message 'I love pretty jewellry' (with two L's?).

Jewellery always has two L's. It usually has 3 E's 'though. It seems someone was conflicted as to whether to use the American spelling or the correct spelling :p.

My assumption is that there's a hidden tracker causing me to gain corruption when wearing anything classified as jewelry (genius of the year, I know...).

My question,

Is this intended, or is it perhaps a missing setting from the corruption settings page? Or maybe another mod's attempt at integration?

You wear a jewerly (earring, necklace and etc) with the CC_SluttyItem keyword.

Isn't Jewelry American English and Jewellery British English? Correct me if I am wrong, I am not native.

Precisely. I'm English. Not American :p.

So will Lexanne's quest be completed with this update, or is it simply the next stage being added?

Lexanne's quest is finished in this update, with 6 more stages and an ending.

I had another idea that's more in line with hardcore mode than something to leave on by default: what if the tonics you can obtain were limited by your alchemy skills, but rather than just not let you make any at insufficient level, you were restricted to crafting weaker ones? E.g. If your alchemy level is low, the best you can make is tonics that merely remove bimbo dialogue and craving for sex while the modified body, degraded skills and need for skimpy clothes remain (the last one would need modified thoughts to reflect the character being compelled to wear such outfits rather than wanting to because she's a bimbo).  If the player's skills have degraded too much, her follower can handle the crafting instead. As an extra option, sufficiently horny bimbos could fuck up the process entirely and make a potion with different effects (e.g. a tonic that just makes boobs bigger for a few days).

Those are fun ideas, but unfortunately it would require a lot of reworking of the curse on the backend to make it work. It's the sort of thing that I would do if I was building the mod from scratch today

Tried unchecking it but there was no difference. I think trying to fix this bug I have somehow succeeded by shifting between bimbo/not bimbo and applying different combinations of "remove nails on tonic use" but now I can't use the nail salon at all - when I sit in the chair after choosing the nails nothing happens and all nail items are returned to me with a message [SlaveTats is busy. Try again in 15 seconds]. No matter how much I wait nothing happens. Not sure what to do at this point.

UPD Solved Slavetats bug by returning to earlier save but still don't know how to solve the forced nail salon bug, still have to wear long nails in both forms. Nail monitor in YPS is disabled but the message keeps emerging.

Unfortunately that sounds like an issue on YPS's end that I don't think I can fix. What if you (in your older save) uncheck 'use legacy nails' (so use YPS's newer nails), and then try the tonic?

I think this must be from another mod- I ran a search on my whole script/source folder for "jewellry" and got no hits, which means it's some other mod using that as the message in the addCorruption event.

EDIT: But as DrSeptimus says, it's actually "jewellery" (the correct spelling), then yes it's caused by wearing an item with the CC_SluttyItem keyword, which adds 2 corruption and is not currently configurable.

And coming soon, hopefully (I suspect a lot of Bimbos like it when things cum soon). Bimbos aren't used to waiting for satisfaction. They're more instant gratification oriented. And I suspect you've got a whole thread of them waiting here and one reason they might not be practically begging for it is that many just think they're so good anyway that they should just get it without having to ask because it should be obvious that they just deserve it.

Then again some enforced patience might do the bimbos good.

DrSeptimus was right, I made a typo in my earlier post.

Just did a double check, dropped everything my character was wearing and checked their keywords via the console. Best I can tell none of them have the CC_SluttyItem keyword, and I'm still consistently gaining corruption hourly even after trying to reduce the amount gained from dressing slutty to 0 and when attempting to change the chance of gaining corruption to 0.

EDIT:

Tried finagling a bit more. It seems like that by dropping all my worn equipment, saving, re-opening the game, picking the armor up and re-equipping it I've managed to get it to stop constantly raising my corruption for seemingly no reason.

I don't know how that fixed it, but all seems well. Just gotta hunt down an alchemist to help with the 56% corruption increase the issue caused lol.

Damn, 6 stages? Does it involves the brainwashing dwemer helmet you talk about?

Now I really cannot wait for the next update. :D

Yeah, shouldn't be too much longer now. Spent the last few days reworking how morphs behave on the backend (particularly the Reset All Morphs MCM button). I don't think a player would even notice anything's changed, but it had to be done to make stacking morphs work properly. Also I'll know that it all makes more sense now.

My must-do list for 1.9.1 is getting very very short.

Glad you got it sorted.

I'll double check the implementation of that keyword's corruption, in case there's something behaving wrong in there.

Well, spoilers (don't say I didn't warn you Wut):

Spoiler

Yes, the Dwemer brainwashing helmet is the last treasure Lexanne sends you to locate for her.

Maybe check how yps's faction addiction causes corruption and applying makeup causes corruption settings work in case they're utilising the same keyword.

I love surprises so much that I have no need to peek. Thanks for hiding it.

American English drops letters primarily to establish a distinct national identity and improve linguistic logic. In the early 19th century, lexicographer Noah Webster consciously simplified spelling by removing superfluous letters (like the ‘u’ in colourcolor.   etc.    There is a myth, i believe would be proper term?  That the reason was type writer ink and charge by letter.   Which to an extent is mildly believable as short hands of everything possible or abbreviations get done for similar reasons in Newspapers that still print.   Anything to save a fraction of a dollar where possible.

The words are so similar it shouldn't be difficult for anyone reading to not understand what something means even if they're different.   Ise  vs Ize in some words is another comparison.   Or double ii  in some words.   The interesting part is how this effects things like Scrabble.

I was always taught that it's more to do with the Dutch language having a stronger influence on American English (due to so many of the early American colonies being originally Dutch) and French having a stronger influence on British English since the discovery of America due to France being just across the English Channel.

I doubt that. Dutch has a lot of words where 2 vowels are combined to make a single sound.

Yeah but OU is more French whereas the Dutch tend to use O for the same sounds.

Either way, this issue is too complicated for simple Bimbos to understand. Maybe we should just accept our differences and continue to anticipate the coming update with eagerness befitting a bunch of Bimbos.

That's true, but there is no incentive with all those double vowels to skip some. The financial narrative makes more sense imho.

The thing that bothers me about that claim is that if it was done to save money then why did that only occur in one country? Surely there'd be skintight penny pinchers on both sides of the ocean.

Getting a bit off-topic here, but ... while true, we should not forget that Europeans tend to stick to their culture and traditions a lot more than US Americans who are more likely to embrace change. If your choices are to save a little bit of money, but risk alienating and thus possibly loosing your readers/buyers, most businesses tend(ed) to err on the side of caution.

Oh we're definitely off topic. It's interesting because standardised spelling is a fairly recent invention. Would be nice to get back on topic 'though.
