I think the natives have been getting restless in this thread since around February. A little longer won't hurt.

Maybe check how yps's faction addiction causes corruption and applying makeup causes corruption settings work in case they're utilising the same keyword.

That's handled on YPS's end, so if it does have a problem (hopefully it shouldn't) there's not much I can do.

Getting a bit off-topic here, but ... while true, we should not forget that Europeans tend to stick to their culture and traditions a lot more than US Americans who are more likely to embrace change. If your choices are to save a little bit of money, but risk alienating and thus possibly loosing your readers/buyers, most businesses tend(ed) to err on the side of caution.

Ah, all this talk of Europe and America but you've failed to consider the secret third option... Australia.

Fortunately, it shouldn't be too much longer now. My to-do list is down to like 6 little things, and one more run-through test of Lexanne's quest...

Well let's not get too carried away with this whole 'no bugs' concept. This is still a Skyrim mod after all.

Will we be able to place the "Dwemer Brainwashing Helmet™" on npcs?

Yes. The way it functions is that it gradually brainwashes them when worn. NPCs then have a chance of taking 'actions' (no spoilers) every hour, based on how brainwashed they are. So at first they might only do something every few days, but after wearing the helmet long enough it'll be nonstop.

Taking the helmet off doesn't remove the brainwashing, just stops it progressing further.

Can the player be a victim of the brainwashing helmet as well? (If this is too spoilery feel free to ignore me, I'm just mostly interested in things happening to the player rather than doing things to NPC's)

Is there a setting to prevent a specific npc from becoming a bimbo? I don’t want this npc to become one nor having to manage her ever,

if i have tonic, how do i give it to a bimbo npc?

Yes. It used to be (and still is) a dialog option while holding a debug item but it might be possible to do it directly with the mcm now too.

What are they? All i can do on the mcm is use the makeover section, which gives corruption and hair replacement. The only debug i can see is the dialogue of the same and debug spells of bodymorphs and names.

Well, if you're daft enough to put it on...

Unfortunately we're not all paid actors. I could use the passive income.

There should be an MCM option to enable debug dialogue, then you can talk to the NPC and tell them to never be bimbofied.

The MCM button for it isn't in the current version yet.

Yeah, I'm not getting the dialogue option for some reason. Is it because she is at stage 2?

Ah, guess I never updated that dialogue option properly to show on mid-curse NPCs.

Putting the NPC in the CC_BimboBlockingFaction will pause their curse where it is. Since the curse has already begun, you'll have to use the console command addToFaction xx2FEEA6.

Quick question, would Deren hypnotize you to put it on? Or would the lovely letter tell you to do so?

Patience, patience, we all will find out soon enough.

I wonder if you're all celebrating X-mas the weekend after Black Friday cause you can't wait? 😛

I put on the ring just to see if anything interesting happened. So of course it was always my intention to try out and/or put on anything MC gets sent out to find. But now I absolutely have to put on the helmet for the funsies.

Ah, now, don't be silly. We all know that Earth is flat and Australia is on the underside. Obviously nothing can be there as it would just fall off. ;)

You know I've been suspecting you were from Australia for years now, both from some of the lines of dialogue in the mod itself and the times I've noticed you come on; but now that I have outright confirmation, I can humbly say:

What deadly creature took you hostage and forced you to learn coding for this mod

I've played enough dnd to know where that line of thinking goes.

granted bimbos don't come up usually.

That curiosity is partly what I'm relying on! But also, I'm hoping that since Lexanne is appreciative when you can tell her more info about the things you collect for her, players might consider 'testing' them out.

It's a nice idea for a hypnosis note, but no it's not something I've done.

Oh that's actually a common misconception, the creatures are harmless to us. They're only deadly to tourists.

But now I'm curious as to what lines of dialogue in the mod scream Australia to you?

I thought the Emus made a lot of casualties in the war. Or is it to early to mention that? 🤔

I guess it's Anaitas line where she says "Oy Mate, want to turn on the barbie when you're done fuckin' spiders."

I think she said that... 🤷

Edit: Tbh, I had no idea that you're from Australia, except for the hours that you often post.

Stereotypical as it is? Mostly the usage of the word "mate". I know its common throughout other western countries, but it's not a word you see very commonly in The Elder Scrolls. When I write dialogue for something, I'm careful not to use language that wouldn't fit the setting, but if a word is common enough in my own dialect, I can sometimes overlook it without thinking. Figured it was probably that type of thing. That's the type of word you probably wouldn't write into someone's dialogue in TES unless you were trying to sell a specific type of character, location they were from, or you overlooked it because it didn't come off as out of place to you; due to its commonality. My guess was the final, since I wasn't seeing signs of a specific type of writing anywhere else in the dialogue for the characters I had seen it on.

Long winded explanation, but when you're constantly trying to write every character a specific way, you start to pick up on things like that.

So putting two-and-two together between the writing and the times you typically come online and reply, I figured you had to be Australian. I've had buddies from all over the world over the years, the time zone matched up best there.

Very common in England. So much so that I was getting more of an English vibe from Jib than an Aussie one. Although the times posts were made did not match up with that (I did consider international travel due to work etc).

As a very great actor once said "Australian is like Cockney but with your mouth shut to keep the flies out."

Now that's interesting. The Elder Scrolls (and many other modern games) are written in what I tend to call "Mod Speak". It feels fake, alien, un-English. It's informational and very static, formal, but lacks the kind of every day conversationalist nature you'd experience in written speak. It's kind of like the uncanny valley of written communication. If I were to write something for a mod I'd be tempted to emulate more usual speech patterns and, as such, what I would write would stand out as feeling out of place among the "mod speak" text.

Glad you're making the effort.
