To have solved the vanilla conflict between Trudy and Wolfgang. Preferably that both of them stay alive so you have access to two quests.

While not directly from CS the debuffs you will get from sex attributes due to the probable actions you take in CS (i.e. being submissive, no spirit, being considered a slut) prolly going to make it pretty hard to pass the dialogue checks for the peaceful option that keeps everyone alive in that scenario

Maybe an item or drug that gives a temporary buff to help pass the speech checks might be a good idea so that they will both be around in the future for the repeatable quests you've created for them

The first condition is simply to ensure that both Trudy and Wolfgang are alive, no matter when you have resolved the conflict. Whether you did it before CS has no impact.

The important condition is to ask them for these quests during "Pet Walk".

Who did you try to talk to in order to do a quest?

Why do you say it is buggy? The quest doesn't start? Or does it start but without objectives?

This is the first Pet Walk quest that Lindstrom gives you, not the repeatable quest (maybe that's the problem?). I go talk to Trudy and Wolfgang, their first line of dialogue is cut (the one telling you what you're supposed to do for them) and it jumps directly to the dialogue choices. But accepting it doesn't do anything, no new quest markers or anything.

Yeah that's why I did the Drumlin diner quest before CS, because of attributes reducing my charisma is difficult to keep both of them alive.

Silly question but you are on the Pet walk quest and not the one where Lindstrom first makes you create drugs and tells you to go sell them?

Yeah this might be the problem, I'm on the first pet walk (create the drugs) quest not the repeatable one. I'm dumb, the first quest is called the Pet. All my fault, sorry! ^^'

Ah, that's the quest "The Pet". Not "Pet Walk". Try again during "Pet Walk". You have access to this quest by winning "The Whore House", you can ask Lindstrom for it.

OK, now I know how to replicate it, I will block those dialogs during "The Pet" in the next update to avoid confusion.

Yeah that was totally my mistake, thought the first quest was also called Pet Walk ^^'

Thanks for the help!

I added some custom headwear in Milking Human Kindness for precisely this reason. Putting it on has a variety of debilitating effects so that the player won't just go around wearing it all the time (also it looks really silly), but if you wear it and get naked you'll have a whopping 1000 bonus to the Mod Charisma Challenge Chance perk entrypoint (I originally did 100 but it was insufficient to overcome severely advanced Sex Atributes speech challenge debuffs, possibly because I was using the Deep Addiction mod along with SA when playtesting). Something similar could definitely be done with a very scarce drug with a short duration, for example.

In my current run I failed the persuasion check three times in a row, so I opened the console and typed:

player.equipitem 10129A

That command will have your character pop a grape mentats, which will boost your charisma by +5 for 8 minutes. That persuasion check didn't have a chance after that.

Yeah something like that, slight tweak to the Lindstrom dialogue - "If Trudy and Wolfgang are arguing again pop one of these and convince them to calm the fuck down" - to help through the vanilla quest would help

As Jarnin mentioned you can cheat via the console (buffed my PC to 10 charisma via addperk) a way of resolving (and not limiting yourself/missing the content JB has taken the time to create) without using the console would be good

Yeah, I mean, if you're going to use the console anyway then may as well do:

SetForceSpeechChallengeAlwaysSucceed 1

(No joke, that's an actual console function which does precisely what it says on the tin.)

Lindstrom provides ASA clothing with +CHA buffs. I think you can get +2 or +3 that way, as long as you wear the right outfit.

With severely advanced SA speech debuffs, I've failed speech checks while sporting an effective charisma over 30. Just boosting charisma doesn't always overcome it (though it can help to a degree) because SA directly debuffs the speech challenge score separately from debuffing your charisma.

Wow, I had no idea! Thanks for the info.

Everything was going well until the quest "The Hooker".

In my Pip-boy I have the entry: The Hooker - Meet Gristle outside.

He is outside with three women, when I talk to him all he says is "I don't have the patience for this shit".

Nothing else. I tried to reload, to change cell and come back, hit him and the girls, teleport him somewhere near, kill him with the kill command, but to no avail. He just stay outside the whore house with the three women.

The same thing happened in my current game. Use the following console command to start the trip to DC:

SetStage _CS_DC 105

Maybe it's another condition I'm not seeing.

Here the two conditions.

  • Have you had cosmetic surgery?
  • Is it your first time traveling or is it your second time?

And, of course, what version of the mod do you have?

Uh, it's a bug in that version, there is a new one on Mega. You can install it safely, and when you talk to Gristle he will proceed correctly.

In any case, the console command also works.

SetStage _CS_DC 105

Ok I see, I downloaded the 2.3.8 version that was uploaded literally yesterday. I thought you were working exclusively on Nuka Ride right now it's nice that your're still improving this mod. Thanks.

I'm feeling dumb but I have tried adding Commonwealth Slavers to Vortex but Mod Manager tells me I'm missing 1. Commonwealth Slavers.esp
I know its probably something obvious to get it up and working but I'm completely missing the solution. I'd appreciate any help or advice to remedy this.

When downloading from mega.nz, it gives you options to download files individually or all together as one giant zip. If you do the latter, that's not an installable mod, it's a zup bundle containing mods and you'll need to extract the ones you want and drag them to Vortex.

Hey @JB., I'm an idiot. I downloaded the voice files for CS and went into the game only to realize that I'm playing a submissive non-junkie. Yep, dumb as a brick am I! I always play a junkie when I run through CS, but this time, for some unfathomable reason, I did not. I'll start a new run tomorrow and skip ahead so I can hear what the junkie sounds like.

By the way, Nora's voice sounds pretty good. It's got the typical monotone issue that all generated lines do, but playing CS with Nora speaking is... odd, but good. I did notice something, however: Your use of "..." in the text lines you're feeding elevenlabs is creating an artifact that jumps out to me. The artifact is normal, but your frequent use of "..." in dialog (which isn't a problem with text) is making every one of Nora's lines that use "..." have an identical duration pause that causes it to have an uncanny valley effect. I know you're doing the audio in batches to save time, but I think you'll get much better output by swapping most instances of "..." to a comma or period.

Since the junkie might not end up sounding good, have you considered doing a silent protagonist for your mod, but voicing all the characters and generic raiders? I'm used to a silent protagonist from so many games that I prefer it in a lot of cases.
