I just did a power run through the first two-thirds of slavers. I hit a snag during The Scavver: After getting enough materials to satisfy Medium-Sized Bomb, we headed over to the main entrance to Corvega. As soon as MSB got to his mark, he immediately went into his dialog without Jared, snoopy, or the Bomb Bros present, causing my character to get her head blown off waiting for Jared to exit the building. After reloading, I tried again, this time getting farther away from Corvega, thinking that Jared needed more time to get out, but that didn't work either (two missing heads). I fixed it by moving Jared to me.

 

I also have a "Talk to Lindstrom" objective in my Miscellaneous quests that I have no idea how to complete.

You have to wait for jared to come out. I just report to the bot when i am relatively far away from Corvega and when we arrive to the main entrance, everybody is waiting outside.

First time I was inside Corvega. We went outside. MSB immediately started talking to Jared (who wasn't outside). Head explodes.

Second time I was outside Corvega by the whore house. Followed MSB to Corvega entrance. MSB immediately started talking to Jared (who wasn't outside). Head explodes.

It's like Jared's prompt to move outside is MSB getting to his mark outside Corvega's entrance, but MSB doesn't wait until Jared is outside to start talking to him.

 

Anywho, just ran into a CTD after exiting Corvega after completing The Weapon. It asks if I want to try and escape. I say no. Loading screen. Crash.

Ugh, the second thing is so complicated, right now I don't remember which Quest asks you for something like that xD Let's just hope it's something harmless. Maybe it's the surgery quest (_CS_Castration) in case you want to look at the guide and finish the quest manually. 

 

About the first thing. Maybe it's like Lee said and it's a scenario that the mod doesn't expect. For cases like that there is no choice but to use "TGM" to avoid dying, until I catch a countermeasure.

Yeah, a problem of conditions. You have to consider that the surgery quest is blockable in the MCM, so Gristle should greet you considering that you have had surgery (he mentions something about your new boobs before starting the walk), or if you haven't (he just says it's time to move). 

 

Global _CS_Surgery = 0, no surgery

Global _CS_Surgery = 1, player underwent surgery

the time it takes Jared to come out is determined by an interaction that is different for everyone.

 

it is comprised of three main things:

1 = your computer

2 = how heavy is your modlist (the heavier your modlist is for your computer means it will take longer for him to come outside) and if you have other

       mods that can/do interfere with CS, Corvega and/or raiders

3 = distance from Corvega when MSB tells you that you have enough components

 

the combination of 1 and 2 determine how far away you need to be for number 3

 

as for Lindstrom the only time i had that happen was due to VIP quest once.  what worked for me was after completing another quest (when

Lindstrom told me to go get some sleep) i talked to him again immediately (before i went and slept) and that cleared it for me. 

no clue if it will work for you or not.

JB and you both posted as i was typing, and from the sounds of it (walking from Whorehouse should be far enough) i think

you might have some other mod (whether you realize it or not is a different matter) that interferes with Jared/Corvega/raiders.

That's usually because you don't have your AAF configured correctly, since what follows is the first scene with AAF. See the official guide and make sure you follow it step by step, you can always test it manually to make sure everything is correct. 

 

A typical sign that your AAF is not set up correctly is that you will notice a percentage at the top right of your screen. 100% means that everything is correct, otherwise, you need to fix it.

I'm running the same modded build I play with every time I run through CS. Prior to this version of CS (v2.3.6) I never had an issue with this particular objective.

 

@JB.

Also, I mentioned above, but it may have gotten missed: CTD during The Weapon when exiting Corvega heading back to The Whore House. I choose not to escape and I get a loading screen, then it crashes (presumably when loading into the Whore House).

Something in my mod wants to activate a special camera, but as far as I know at that moment there is no special camera. (the one that usually has special angles). 

 

Edit: OF COURSE. You decided not to escape, and you go straight to the Whore House. So Declan activates his typical special camera. 

My recommendation to disable dialogue camera at least for that moment should circumvent the CTD.

I also refused to escape and went into the WH, but didn't crash

Hey @JB., ran into a weird one!

  • I completed The Scavver, got through the CTD, saved, and then reported to Lindstrom.
  • I slept. After sleeping I talked to Lindstrom and asked him to make clothes (I made purified water instead).
  • When I was heading back to talk to Lindstrom to get a new job, Lindstrom interrupted me and told me there was a VIP, so I did the VIP mission.
  • When I got done with the VIP mission, I talked to Lindstrom again. The only option I had was to get another job, so I took the next new one: The Threat.
  • Ran over to Abernathy Farm with a nuke up Vaultmeats ass. Everything went fine. Ran back to the Whore House and talked to Lindstrom.
  • Talking to Lindstrom this time allowed me to complete the "I want to make clothes" job, and got rid of my access to workbenches, but I still had the VIP objective of talking to Lindstrom AND The Threat objective of talking to Lindstrom.
  • Talking to him again and all he'd do is tell me to go sleep, so I did, for an hour. With the nuke up my ass and the timer ticking away.
  • Woke up and had to train with Snoopy. With the nuke up my ass and the timer ticking away.
  • Talked to Lindstrom again... He only wants to give me new jobs, not complete the two "Talk to Lindstrom" objectives I have open for The VIP and The Threat (plus that weird misc objective of talking to Lindstrom).
  • I tried to find the quest stage to complete the "Talk to Lindstrom" objective for The Threat in your quest stage list, but couldn't find The Threat in that list. Instead, I found the correct stage to complete the "Talk to Lindstrom" objective for The VIP. That completed correctly.
  • Do you have a quest stage to complete The Threat for me? Thanks!

 

Also! My Vaultmeat has a nasty bruise on her nose from when I ran through The Fighter. It's not going away. How long are facial bruises and such supposed to last?

looking at an old stage guide, and it shows "SetStage _CS_Threat 700;    Report to Lindstrom after Minutemen incident" so unless the stages

changed in CS 2.x that should be the one you want and completion is stage 1000 provided you did not fail.

 

attaching old stage guide as some quests (CS 1 quests) in the linked stages guide for 2.X are not shown. (and i am being lazy and not digging through

the thread to find the original post of them)

@JB. @izzyknows

I fixed all the visual glitches i could find (report anything you can find), even got rid of most of the weeds under the floor slabs and asphalt (roads).
I had to break two SCOLS cause there was a gap in each one of them and while at it, took the liberty to replace the wall with the appropriate material. As a side effect the matswap reverted to blue instead of red (not really a problem that justifies redoing previs for it).

Previs generated using scripts (command lines, like PRP) so there is two plugins, one for edits, and one for previs patch. I tried merging them together but it's a PITA and both plugins are esl flagged anyway so... why bother.


I finally managed to generate previs without any stuttering, it was a problem with the last CK fix (Platform extender) so i reverted back to CK fix 2.0. The author is aware of the bug and working on it.

Hey @lee3310,

 

I finally got around to checking out Combat Zone Restored, and it's a bit of a mess.

  • I went there during Pet Walk to see how it behaved, and immediately noticed a lot of broken precombines all over the place. I have Slavers loading late, so I'm guessing it's revamped stuff getting overwritten?
  • The infinite Cait fight is going on, and doesn't end (CS change, right?) so no fighting or betting available.
  • All of the revamped stuff is open, but navigating the location is hard due to all the invisible walls, floors, ceilings.
  • Upon entering I had a raider proposition Vaultmeat for sex. Afterwards, I couldn't get any raider to ask for sex; they were all stuck on the revamped dialog and kept asking "which gang are you from?" If the NPC was sitting up in the balcony, all they'd say is "Kill! Kill!" watching Cait beat the shit out of some dumb bastard.
  • I could interact with vendors and buy/sell.

Should I move CZR below CS and see how it breaks that way?

Well, it doesn't hurt to try but from what you described, both mods need be patched together, and not just a previs patch, but interaction with NPCs too (dialogues...). If i ever make a patch, i will post it here.

I didn't really do anything, I just made those guys non-aggressive. But recently I saw a suggestive image and maybe I could do something in the future.

I edited some of Leito animations using hkxPoser, they were edited with SC in mind, i will post it here since they were done for this mod these are not edits to be used for lovers characters they are edited to be used for slave and master type, u could say they more flashier? it edits FM, FF, FS

 

Also they were done with hkxPoser which means they are Leito animations with different bone locations so they are not new animation you will need to overwrite Leito animations and sadly there will be some wonkenss in them you can install it overwrite go through the animations pick what you like unpack it delete what you dont like zip install, the edits done from stage 2 after. stage 1 was not touched

Just finished mod first time yesterday and found it quite enjoyable. Besides some minor bugs and a couple of CTDs in entire playthrough didn't have any serious problems with the latest version. Though for some reason Rose's Revolution looks like a double barrelled shotgun while judging from specs and reload animation it should be a combat shotgun. Any idea what might be the cause of this strange glitch?

wasn't expecting it to be anywhere near as fleshed out and detailed of a mod as it is! Absolutely fantastic and when you say its taken a year to make, I can definitely see why. I sorta got used to no voices, but I'm looking forward to seeing what you're able to do with them. And I guess it would be nice if someones able to make custom vault-girl/meat-themed artwork for quests

 

@JB. I'm a professional 3D artist by-trade, so if you ever want custom props, environmental textures or other things for the mod (e.g props for the Whore House), I'm happy to help out as best I can (though I have no experience porting things to work in Fallout 4, I just make models and textures for games)
