I've been doing some testing and I have isolated and confirmed a bug related to wearing armors that takes up certain armor slots. So far I've isolated armor slots 57 and 59. When you have armors equipped in those slots there are several things that will happen:

 

1) The defeat knockdown won't work and you will die (happens sometimes)

 

2) The downed state animation after the rape scene does not play. The character will stand there (but the events will progress normally). eg. animations where she is sitting exhausted or lying exhausted on the floor. (This happens 100% of the time)

 

3) The animations where she covers up her breasts and crotch when running away also does not play. (This happens 100% of the time)

 

Once I unequip the armor items from those slots however, the animations will play as normal and defeat will work normally. My question is why does defeat seem to be affected by armor slots? I don't understand why the two should be related but they are definitely causing some animation issues.

 

I would post a papyrus log, but I'm not at home at the moment, but I highly suggest people test out armor slots 57 and 59 to see how it affects Defeat.

I wanted to try compiling this script, but good lord I can't figure out how. pex compiler doesn't accept it, and the creation kit explodes when I try to compile it in there. How in the world do you guys even pack the scripts? Gosh I'm a papyrus noob, even with what I know. Lean more every day, though.

You have to have unpack the BSA files for that various required mods so that the script source files are available.

 

One super oddity about the Papyrus compiler is that it doesn't link to compiled PEX files, it always requires the source PSC file instead.

Put it in the scripts folder with the rest of the Defeat scripts. Overwrite.

Quick reference from DD seems to show 57 as vaginal plug and 59 as arm cuffs was it generic armor item or DD items?

 

It was generic armor items. I have DD installed but I don't make use of it.

Put it in the scripts folder like you were told. You went deeper and into the scripts/source folder which is where the psc files are, it is not a psc file it is pex file and renaming it would not be right.

My follower stops working after being assaulted in combat.

I can still speak with her and give her follower commands like 'wait here' or 'follow me' but they do nothing and she just keeps standing in place.

I also can't trade things with her anymore. I have the disalogue option, but the inventory doesn't open up after selecting it.

 

It's almost like her AI script was overwritten by the defeat script when she was assaulted and didn't come back after the assault.

 

Is this a bug or most likely an incompatibility on my side?

I don't have any other mods that modify on-hit-events and I don't have any mods that edit follower behavior either.

My follower stops working after being assaulted in combat.

I can still speak with her and give her follower commands like 'wait here' or 'follow me' but they do nothing and she just keeps standing in place.

I also can't trade things with her anymore. I have the disalogue option, but the inventory doesn't open up after selecting it.

 

It's almost like her AI script was overwritten by the defeat script when she was assaulted and didn't come back after the assault.

No, Defeat doesn't overwrite or change Vanilla's follower's behaving. Try any of these:

 

 - Open MCM menu and press "Clean" under general that should release your player from "stack in script".

or

Open console command right click on your follower and type:

 

1. epc and press Enter.

or

2. right click on your follower and type disable+ press Enter key and immediately after type enable and press Enter. This will reset your follower's AI.

3. If none of these work, if you have AFT, go to the settings and reset AFT (I know you said you don't have such a mod but I mentioned it anyway)

- by default, Defeat use EFF follower's control but it works fine with AFT as well. Get any of them. It will easier your life with your follower(s)

4. If, again, none of these is working, load some of your earlier saves and try again or temporary disable Player/Follower as victim in MCM menu.

I usually set the difficulty to Novice and try to knock down my follower and then revive them. It seems to fix the problem.

is there anyway i can make it so even if i hit 0 health defeat still activates? DA is just too buggy so ive started using defeat on its own,

or a way to make so you cant go lower than 1 health?

Odd problem. So I added the mod to Nexus Mod Manager, and attempted to activate it. Mod Manager says "Operation: Install, The Mod was not Activated" and refuses to do anything further with Defeat. Any suggestions?

 

 

EDIT: I'm an idiot and forgot to install SkyUI.

I just wanted to let you know what a tremendous job you have done.  Defeat was always a mod I wanted to include but it would frustrate me so much. The constant waiting for the mod to decide what to do, the terrible job it dig triggering at all, I would just depend on Death Alternative to give somewhat unsatisfactory results to poor planning.  

 

While it is true I had only the one scene it was glorious.  So I ran my little Wood Elf into the main chamber of Reordan's Retreat and surrendered.  So gathered around were a Bandit Dog, 2 male Bandits and a female Bandit Chief.  The Bandit Dog was first and I just remembered I had Untamed installed and this was my first beast encounter. It went off beautifully even with the initial messages that mod puts on the screen.  Then the males took turns with appropriate comments and positions.  Even her rest position between assaults was beautiful.  After the males took their turns she sat up the resist bar came up and filled quickly.  She got up covering herself and ran out of the room.  

 

So once again excellent work, very professional and well done.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I saw you provided support for Serial Strip, I am now thinking of installing that mod to make these encounters even more immersive.

This has happened to me a lot of times and usually i'll do step 4. Going to save this on my favorites and in case it happens again, going to try the other steps :)

I had this happen yesterday to a follower. I use eff and after trying many things fixed it with eff's 'clean' function.

The broken followers - press 0 or ) key - the default option.  Choose clean.  Then choose clean tied up.  Your follower will start walking around again.  It seems that 5.1 isn't cleaning itself up anymore and I have to do that every time someone friend or foe is assaulted during combat.  But it doesn't require STEP 4!!

After having sex with a corpse, does the corpse re-equip her armour or she will just stay naked?

 

Edit:

I found out that the corpse stay naked after sex, is it possible for the corpse to redress if the corpse inventory still has any armour?

I got everything running properly, but the threesomes never trigger, despite the occurence change being set to 100%. Enemies just take turns. Any suggestions how I can make them happen, without resorting to matchmaker?

Just asking is threeway animation selected as a "AGGRESSIVE ANIMATION " in SEXLAB FRAMEWORK because I believve DEFEAT only uses ANIMATION TAGGED AS AGGRESSIVE.

Sexlab also allows you to NOT restrict aggressive tagged animations to the aggressive scenes.

 

Turn off the "Restrict Aggressive Animations" option in the Sexlab menu and you're set.

I remember I used to have the ability to surrender and animals would engage in non-consensual sex with my player. Now when I surrender, they just drop hostility and walk away.

 

Is this a bug?

It been a long time since i play skyrim with with mod. My senses on managing MCM got dulled so i got a bit confused.

 

I have been playing Defeat without DA b4 but i decided to try it. What is the optimize setup on MCM? i got ctd when npc start to rape my character. The new Defeat is different from the old Defeat ( forgot what version) i play.
