Eryneth Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 *Sigh* I just spend a good while last night upgrading sex lab, defeat, LOOT, SKSE, SkyUI and FNIS hoping to fix my issues with defeat not triggering. Went to test it and as before even with it set on 100% chance on hit and all those settings i just get smacked around until DA tries to trigger but nothing happens now not even DA is triggering i just stand there being pummeled and then everyone just freezes and they they get back to trying to kill me. I tried the submit key and i got the options of (from memory) resist, pray to the gods and something else. One time it did trigger on what had to be the hundredth attempt but the other bandits just kept attacking me. Hopefully with some more work on it tonight i can get it working again... any suggestions would be welcome. I just want to get back to playing rather than trying to fix it Not sure if it will help or not but try downloading Papyrusutil and letting it override Sexlab's version. Some people (myself included) were unable to get things to work with the new Sexlab otherwise. I saw a few people talking about that but i never much saw it mentioned anywhere. Ill give it a go tonight, thanks! The resist, pray to the gods and something else part, sound like the submit options from SD+. So you're using the same submit hotkey for both mods. I've tried using defeat with sanguine debauchery, and I just could not get these mods to play nice together, not even with the defeat settings suggested in the SD+ documentation. (which I suspect only applies to the 4.x version of defeat which doesn't use death alternative .) In the end I made the hard call to stop using SD+ and ditched DA as well, so I'm just using defeat.. and it works pretty well. I think the mods would be compatible if defeat would have an option to keep using the old, threshhold or resist system of submitting. even when death alternative is installed. because this should avoid the incompatibility between SD+ and defeat+DA. But maybe I'm wrong, it's all just guesswork for me. Interesting i had no idea SD+ had a submit option, ill try remapping to somewhere else and trying it again. In that case then defeat is certainly triggering as i did get some start animations prior to other bandits trying to kill me. Yeah i had no issue with the 4.x version with SD+ but now that i've upgraded to the latest defeat none of them seem to be triggering. Urgh.. I'm still stuck here... can't wait to get home.
mantronix Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Can't download the new version V5b.3.2. keeps downloading as a .tgz file not a .rar or .7zip
JerseyWalrus Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 I can't seem to grab anyone. I've tried with Resist and spam G, even when they have a sliver of health, and nothing happens. I try it with the Threshold option and drop them to a sliver of health and the nothing happens as I spam G. I try Modifier key + G nothing happens. Did I do something wrong that doesn't enable me to grab or am I just blind and didn't read the description right? I was able to taunt and was able to be a necrophiliac but grabbing a dying enemy is just bugged for me. I've tried doing the Cleanup in the MCM and it doesn't help. Then I've tried using Threshold with the Bonus Action Percentage and the Health Threshold percentage both all the way to 100% yet my PC still can't grab anybody. No messages saying I was successful or unsuccessful came up either. This is my very first installation of Defeat, if that helps, so I don't have any loose scripts from previous versions. Edit: Tried changing the Action key from G to O and it still didn't help. Any suggestions?
Eryneth Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Can't download the new version V5b.3.2. keeps downloading as a .tgz file not a .rar or .7zip Strange you're the second one that's mentioned that. What browser are you using? I'm using Firefox and it downloads fine for me.
mantronix Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 I use Internet Explorer, downloaded it with Google chrome and it worked right, must be something with reg Internet Explorer

afa Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Ok Update Sexlab to 1.58b, FNIS to 5.1.1, SKSE to 1.7.1 And using Defeat v5b3.2 NO Death Alternative Here is a log of the scenario I described earlier...or is that how it is suppose to work now? Player victim set to All Down Started a new game, Live another life, Whiterun start, using AFT to pick up one custom companion. Head on outside. Fight a wolf. PC got brought down by wound (probably shouldn't be power attack, and I disabled exhaustion). Companion kept fighting. PC in the kneeling animation has the resist bar shows up, after filling up the bar, PC enters the sitting down animation, need to fill up the get up bar to get up, then Run Away show up, need to either run or wait before able to start combat again. Companion was fighting all throughout, no animation trigger so I don't get why the sitting down animation shows up. In previous version it used to be knock down > get back up > return to fight if applicable. Sitting down animation and get up bar only shows up if rape occurs. Is this happening to anyone else? Am I missing some settings? Or is that the way it works now? I think I like how it was more Should only need to bother with nearing the end portion of the log...
vagrantauthor Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Hello. I've recently returned to Skyrim and am going through the process of reinstalling mods. Everything is up and running properly as best as I can tell except this one. NPC's will only ever attack and kill my PC no matter what Defeat's numerous options are set to. I know the mod is running to some degree because I can press "K" and surrender to make enemies to stop attacking. However, there is never any dialogue, the NPC's briefly return to their previous activities, and once surrender times out they return to attacking my PC until she dies. I can use the console command "TIM" to force her into the downed state at 0 health and at that point NPC's will strip her bit by bit, but she always gets back up after a few seconds causing NPC's to resume their attack. I have updated FNIS, SKSE, and everything else I can think of. I have Aroused and Lover's Comfort installed also, if that makes any difference. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
redlove108 Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 When you die with DA it's most likely your aggressor is not allowed to do anything else to you depending of the location and his faction. If Defeat triggers at the same time as DA it's because you have some knock down way enabled (wound exhaustion & stun) I guess, they are not needed cause Defeat uses DA's knock down system. Wait... so I could disable the "wound" options and Defeat will still work? I'm gonna have to try this and see! So I did this and everything seems to be running smoothly! That is awesome. Ashame it took me this long to find out/figure out how to properly set Defeat to work with Defeat Alternative and SD+.

vagrantauthor Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 I can only guess the mod in not installed properly, you should take a look at your log and see what errors it throws. All files are in their proper places. I've installed them both manually and through NMM (not at the same time, of course). I've double-checked my required mod versions and everything is up to date. By "log" are you referring to skse.log? Thank you much for the answer, by the way. I'm sure I'll figure this out with proper guidance sooner or later. I'm also sure this is happening because of my own actions - I'm just not sure which actions those were yet.

In your skyrim.ini file find this: [Papyrus] fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=500.0 bEnableLogging=0 bEnableTrace=0 bLoadDebugInformation=0 and change it to: [Papyrus] fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=500.0 bEnableLogging=1 bEnableTrace=1 bLoadDebugInformation=1 Then save You'll find a new directory called logs has been set up in the same place as your saves directory after you run Skyrim for the first time. You need to run Skyrim a second time and logs will then be generated Use the skyrim.ini file from the c:\users\name\my games\skyrim directory btw

Hopefully with some more work on it tonight i can get it working again... any suggestions would be welcome. I just want to get back to playing rather than trying to fix it Those options might be from from Death Alternative, or I *think* from Sanguine's Debauchery. They are not from Defeat, AFAIK. So, you have mapped the submit key on the same key you use for either one. And the problem with not triggering - if the options are from that - may have to do with the trigger percentage and priorities you have in Death Alternative. If it is from Sanguine's Debauchery - and I think it is more likely - then teh scene that triggered was probably from that mod, not Defeat.

(And I need to read through the whole thread before I answer) But I got both mods to play well together with no issues. Defeat is set to trigger 5% health normally and with DA to trigger at 75% of the time and with a higher priority than SD+. I put SD+ to trigger from DA at 65%. I got both of them to work fine together.

I'm just curious because from the start I've always had some weird bugs. Most were me having the wrong settings which conflicted with other mods. I think I got that sorted out but it would be good to know if anything I experience is a bug that this can fix or not. So far things have been smooth, just the odd monster that won't pounce for the rape. Then again those were added from monster mod/immersive creatures so not sure what would happen with them.
circ Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Is there any reliable way to get rid of the Run Away! message after it bugs out? I cleaned up Defeat a few times. Uninstalled it through the menu then reinstalled it. I went through an extra rape unintentionally, that didn't clear it. Got gangraped by Forsworn courtesy of Deviously Helpless. And then surrendered to an afflicted just to try and get rid of it. Also slept for a day and just sat around walking for 30 minutes real time. Now reloading an earlier save. But I don't really feel like reloading if it happens again.

Thank you for the help. The mod now works as intended.
germanicus Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Goubo - let me just tell how much I enjoy playing your mod. I truly love "surrender" and using it whenever I can. My elf wizard met a group of 5 female bandits and his surrender to them. Man, I'm talking about hours and hours of various sex with these ladies. From single to 3W. And my speech, even increases. When got enough, I just killed them. I worship you for this. You did a perfect job. Picture included: All of them have been fucked many times and still waiting for more.
JerseyWalrus Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 If only my Dragonborn can be blessed with such a gift.
Coolchipsbros Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Whenever I am playing this mod the options and everything else is in another language. Is there a way to change languages. I would like it to be english but cannot seem to figure out how to change it.
kernins Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Wierd though about collateral, looks like the follower isn't added to the alias, is the aggressor properly walks toward the follower? Does he say the line to the follower and just do nothing? I need to rework the system with this. About reaggros it shouldn't happen but I can't properly make it 100% work depending on the situation the player is when he surrenders, are those aggressors vanilla? I use a faction to make them non-hostiles and when the player is in this faction they shouldn't reaggro, the followers become neutral for them too, does this happen when you have no follower? Yes, aggressor often says something about he going to try this one and then nothing happen. Reaggros was happening to me each time when surrending to group of bandits, as far as I remember, and those bandits was actually OBIS ones. I tried to disable it and several other similar mods, still the same behaviour. But then I tried a completely fresh skyrim install with minimal set of mods and new defeat 5.3.2, and now it working as it should, no reaggros during surrender even with OBIS. Collateral works fine too. So either you fixed it, or there was some conflicting mod on my old install. Not tested much on new install, had a very little time, but so far noticed two another glitches: - bandits (OBIS) often reaggro even before dialog starts when there is at least one other enemy (from bandits point of view). I mean some NPC or even a deer, not PC followers. Not a big deal though - there is often a big delay before SL animation starts, but if I open-close the console during such delay, anim starts immediately. Not sure if this defeat related, not yet tested any other ways to initiate sex, but I haven't noticed such delays before on previous install and have very minimal set of mods on current one

About the delay I don't know, but that's Framework related. Whenever I am playing this mod the options and everything else is in another language. Is there a way to change languages. Make a clean save from Defeat, unfortunately this is the only way I can think of to get rid of it. Though does the Run Away! still get stuck in the last version? Or was it from an older version of the mod?
