Good question, didn't take the chance...

 

Ended up hiding both, you can rename both files another name so you can change it back in case

So removing the skeleton turns the super mutant penis into a stretched out buggy mess that pokes out even from under their clothes. Sure they fall as they're supposed to but you can accomplish the same thing by just removing the edits done to supermutants leaving them as completely vanilla. It also breaks the penis for animations so supermutants just sort of hump you with their ken doll crotches, or with their penis stretched to infinity and beyond behind them. So unless there's some way of making this work without removing the skeleton, or until the fixed skeleton gets finished, we're still essentially left with the option of vanilla supermutants or freezing on death supermutants with intact junk. The only option this mod seems to add is breaking the penis to add mostly working non-freezing death animations.

Unless there's a step we're missing that makes it all work, in which case, please, enlighten us.

As far as I have seen, this is working along with the skeleton provided by Creature Resources. I didn't delete any skeleton files, I just uninstalled the other super mutant freeze fixes/workarounds I'd previously used (including Don't Lose Your Head).

Yes i seem to see the problem and i misread what a user had written in this thread, i just tested in game and you don't erase the skeleton because you lose control of the super mutant penis.

 

You just replace the supermutantfreezingfix.esp with this one and it should work 95% of time

That's what I had done originally and I was still getting super mutants freezing on death pretty much every time. So now I don't know what to think. ?

 

Does anything look wrong here?

Seems right, did you check with FO4Edit to see if something was conflicting with the esp ?

Late to the party as always...

 

Thank you elzee, works well with my old and outdated AAF 1.33b & UAP 2.1.0 install.

I had no other freeze fixer mods installed at any point in my save.

Wish I'd found your fix sooner :)

 

Hope it works just as well when I update all my mods to current date and start a new game (fingers crossed).

What exactly is the problem there? In the skeleton, or in skeleton.hkx? Maybe just take a vanilla skeleton and re-add penis bones to it? Will this solve the problem? I got the corpses hanging in the air.

Yes, there was a lengthy discussion, but the end result is that Creature Resources 1.1.5 now has a repaired skeleton so if you're using that (or UAP since it's included there too) then you shouldn't experience that problem any longer. If you're using those and still seeing the freeze, make sure the skeleton from CR/UAP isn't being overwritten by one from, say, an animation pack.

 

Edit: Specifically, make sure the Meshes\Actors\Supermutant\CharacterAssets\skeleton.hkx from CR or UAP is not being overwritten and wins any conflicts with the same file in other mods you may be using.
