If you install it in a running game, it is probably the only mod doing this and thus will be rather fast.

OK then, how can I ensure that my character doesn't get the curse immediately upon loading the mod for the first time? I'd like to dynamically get the curse through gameplay by accruing/consuming lactacid per the MCM option, but instead my character was immediately given Bovine Degrading and Hammerheart started.

Hammerheart does appear at the start. All it does at that point is direct you to Paul, you say hello and that's it. Once you have the curse and at least stage 1 showing budding horns you can talk to Paul again and progress. Never noticed the Bovine Degrading thing before at the start.

The default mode for bovinification is just plain milking. If you install the mod when already milking, it will start the curse immediately. You could try to stop the milking before installation (player.removespell xx0369a8 xx = MME's mod ID, wait until milking is really stopped). Edited June 25, 2023 by botticelli 1

My character didn't have that spell (btw the id was xx0369a7 for me... possibly an SE change), so I simply removed her as a milk maid in the MME MCM. BAC detected this change and removed her as a cow. Success! Now to see if it'll probably re-init when consuming 10 units of lactacid...

It makes no sense to me that there should be a shift by 1 in SE...

I recall seeing somewhere in here that the morphs for BHUNP and 3BBB 3BA were more or less interchangable, could i theoretically throw your json in my game while using BHUNP and have it work? No, you dummy. You go to the ZAZ Animation Pack SE page and read the description to discover the links at the end of the first post. The link in the download section is ZAZ animation pack 7. The links are names ZAZ 8.0+ CBBE HDT 2023 or ZAZ 8.0+ UUNP HDT 2023. If you are using the 3BA body, then download the ZAZ CBBE and overwrote with this. Also download and install the ZAZ Patch in downloads. Redo all zaz Bodyslide with morph enabled. Yes, it is a mess-up page, but that how it was done. The effect of those morphs are barely noticeable unless you are very close or go over 100% morph range, distorting it.

BAC does it itself in the punishment quest with a head cage which essentially is a gag. it seems that leg cuffs make the udder disappear, and the gag doesn't show up at all.. idk if i can change equip region or anything but let me know if you have a suggestion. thank you for your help

You are amazing, I figured out the first part with ZaZ, hence my edit to that post, but it still wasnt working and i was stuck, thank you for that second half! As for the second post, i figured it wouldn't do a whole heck of a lot, which is why i wasn't concerned, just comparing jsons partially to confirm i did it right. It should show up as a greenish pulp. Since I used the ghostly remains (LE) as a role model, I (a) could not get rid of the blueishness of the smoke and (b) am not sure as to whther this appears correctly in SE. It is done with data\meshes\bac\Manure.nif. Maybe that nif isn't SE compatible? Spoiler

There's a highlight "Activate Cow Flop" and clicking it does nothing whatsoever; so what good is it exactly ?

I have in mind to change that Activator from "Activate Cow Flop" to "Collect Cow Flop" to be able to sell it to farmers as fertilizer later.
