You have to run around and talk to different innkeepers until they say something about missing women in a certain province, then go to that province, and talk to the steward or jarl to find out which location in that province that you need to go to.
Naps-On-Dirt Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 I noticed that the CBBE version doesn't have a CBBE Vamp Barkeep outfit, the captives nipples are distorted, visible through the translucent fabric. If I can figure out where Vortex stores inactive mods, I have a few CBBE outfits that I updated for the 0.972 version that I could pass on to you to update what you have. I think it was @EinarrTheRed who helped me find some of them and told me where to install them. 1

Started as a new member at the mage's college so that I could avoid the Whiterun area early on. When I got to Riverwood I went and read the note in the shop and then went into the inn to ask Orgnar about rumours. He directed me to Falkreath. When I got to Falkreath Nenya sent me to Knifepoint Ridge. After defeating most of the bandits the prisoner was clearly visible at the forge while 6 of the bandits remained unaware of my presence. I dealt with them too. I did not enter the mine to deal with their leader. The Daedric wisps did not appear. I approached the prisoner, got her to follow me and headed back to Falkreath. Because I had not defeated the leader and read his note I did not have the journal entry to speak to the blacksmith but I spoke to Lod anyway and he sent me on to Nenya who then sent me back to the mage's college. It was at this point that I remembered I had not dealt with the bandit leader so I headed back to Knifepoint Ridge. When I headed into the camp 2 or 3 energy beams (as if fire by whisps) zapped the prisoner and she died. So I reloaded the autosave back in Falkreath, told her to wait for me there, and went back to Knifepoint Ridge without her to deal with the bandit chief and read his note. This time there were no wisps and he had no note. I suppose talking to Nenya & Lod removed the note from him. Don't I need to read that note to spawn more camps? Hopefully everything won't be completely broken by that point but we shall see. Edited April 7, 2022 by Balgin

The only way that should happen is if no valid Captives were found in the roster, or the script that generates the notification list has failed. It was built to not break if you skip steps. You can actually bypass the blacksmith and go right to the mage of your choice. The Quest log will tell you that stage was failed, but so what? You also may be able to go directly to Nenya/Sybille/Falion and bypass both the blacksmith and the lower tier mages. Hopefully that works too; much attention went into allowing for each possibility. What you can't do is talk to someone like Farengar and he'll recommend one of the Nenya/Sybille/Falion trio, then you go to a different one. Balgin Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 The prisoner was Livia Orland in case that makes any difference. The mystery wisp bolts that killed her upon returning to the area are odd 'though and might be related to them not appearing the first time 'round.

Strange how it only happens with certain items. Next to the page is a couple of Soul Gems and a dagger of binding. I can pick those up no problem, only the pages won't show up in my inventory. Heads of cabbage in the sky were used as name placeholders, since for text replacement to work the name of the object to get the name from has to initialize with something before the name of the camp(s) are known. You can change the name of something later by script, and it will change on the book/note in question; that's what happens here. You can change individual items, but expect everything to revert once a cell change reload happens. The "Anchor" is an invisible ring that's part of every outfit and acts as the last part of the outfit to prevent instant reapplication of the whole outfit when you remove the final item. For saving Outfits, you can't dynamically write to an Outfit, which is basically just a list of Armor Forms, like you can with a FormList. You can, however, populate an Outfit with Leveled Lists, which can be written to dynamically and only hold one item. That's a future feature of SBC, mainly used for the travel-to-destination timeframe. However, since we don't know why your setup isn't initializing there's a chance the backup will fail for the same reason as the primary sequence. A manual method, as a third option, may be in order. 2

The questions are more specific as to reports of disappearances, and you initiate it from a dedicated line appearing much higher, if not at the top, of the dialogue queue. Your concern of cluttering your Quest journal from anything with SBC, other than SBC specific destinations, is unfounded.

Maybe is some lag because too may scripts to load. Most new MCMs take a few minutes to load unless helped out by a mod, or by the user by opening another MCM in the list and waiting about 5 seconds. Most of the scripts are tiny; the MCM delay you're seeing is natural, not script lag. However, if you're seeing the MCM that means the scripts are loading so that's one less unknown in troubleshooting your problem.

AAAAND I really don't remember what all the provinces are called, since they're not on the map, just the cities, so when I'm told to go to the Reach or whatever, I have no idea where that is. I have to exit the game and google it. Just sayin'. But I'm a filthy casual caveman, so who really cares? (In my day, all we had was Pong that we played on a black and white TV...AND WE LIKED IT!) lol? Here's an off topic thing for EtR: I have two Keeper Carcettes in the Hall of the Vigilants. And I don't like the new Imp Cpt. The blush makes her look like a skank. But that's just me. Sorry, but LL is loading really slowly atm, and it'd take ten minutes to switch over to PB forum or maybe even timeout. So feel free to delete this if it's aggravating to your sensibilities. 1

All of the other textures in my admittedly bloated game seem fine. This mod just uses vanilla textures, correct? I guess I'll try it on a new save and see what happens. All of the scenes and quests worked fine for me. Thanks for your hard work. 1

Pondering how this might happen; can offer the following explanation: Last Bandit sequence runs (multiplies bandit HP by a fixed amount) but you're far enough away that combat stops. When it starts again the same Last Bandit is selected and is buffed again with the HP multiplier. Or Last Bandit sequence is being triggered multiple times from the same initiating event, but still results in the sequence above. Either way, it should be solvable by applying a cap to the bandit HP allowed. Something like 3xPlayer HP. That's just an extra couple of lines of code.

nmpp Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 I've noticed that using the BRRF addon for Devious devices (either 5.1 or 5.2 beta4) causes the startup message of this mod to not appear and the MCM to not load (using SBC 0.98d an SSE). After disabling that esp and starting a new game the startup of SBC appears to work as intended, though in my case the notes are still nowhere to be found and the parameter SBCNotesplaced remains 0. 1

After following the Kajit clues (I asked all 3 caravan leaders, none of them could help me, btw, is there more here or is this a bug?), I went to Morthal to ask around, found Livia and asked her to follow me. Now the thing is, she says "For you, anything" but doesn't follow me. There is no dialogue topic to part ways but the one "Hello again" is still there. I have EFF running and SBC recognizes it. 98b on SE 1

She checked Tonra to see what sort of enchantment this was and seemed to have gotten into an endless loop. After the third time Sybille tested the enchantment, I gave up. Skipping the blacksmith/court mage steps may not be such a good idea after all. 1

Quest "Read between the lines" started. Giraud Gemane at the Bard's college gave me the Khajiit clues. Visited all 3 Khajiit caravan leaders, but none of them could help! Now in quest journal: find Ma'dran/find Ahkari/find Ri'saad are checked off, but "find the key Khajiit caravan leader who can translate Masken" ist still open. No idea how to proceed. Am I missing something? Or is this a bug?

Probably another 'me' thing, but figured I'd mention it.(I just need to stay alert and hit the surrender key in a timely fashion, when necessary) I've also noticed several other little 'quirks' that have popped up since I've installed SBC, but I'm thinking it just means I have a tad too much going on in the background for my poor computer to handle well. Thus the 'me' things happening. I only mention them in forums when it's something new, on the off chance it's an actual bug. As an FYI thing. Ignore at your leisure. I won't mind. The last thing I wanna do is piss a modder off.lol Y'all are giving me free stuff, after all.?? I bit the bullet and wrote down all the holds and their cities. Ahhh, pen and paper...takes me back to a simpler time.? 1

I just booted up my game and nethers follower framework said it was only able to access 2 slots instead of its usual 10 and something was interfering...
