Is it possible that Sexual preference and Race preference options can be implemented during character creation. Maybe a Race Menu plugin. If I was good at modding I would find a way to do it myself. That would add a whole new level of immersion. And could add new possibilities to one of my favorite Plugins for this mod. I absolutely love the potentials for this mod and many of the modders seem to forget about people that like male on male stuff and SexLab really does make a gaymer feel welcome XD. Not to mention my fixation with Werewolves in skyrim. The usability of this mod is amazing. I have been able to fix most of the issues I have had with a simple uninstall reinstall and clean save. Mr. or MS. OR MRS. ASHAL I freaking love your mod. OH and not to mention I have yet to be banned from here. I got banned on the nexus for calling an administrator out on a bad call as an administrator. Not to mention Lover's Lab is not allowed to be mentioned at all.

This weekend probably, I haven't finished implementing all of the expression system yet, but it's all done in an basic useable way.

There going to be a version set on Alpha 3?  Devious Devices and Zaz Animations seem to think Sexlab Alpha 2 is version 0 in MCM they won't register.

The other mods like Aroused, Lovers Comfort/victim, etc don't seem to do a version check I guess.

This is an alpha version, what other mods seem and will remain is 0% of my concern. It's their responsibility to fix it and not mine.

 

Though I would not expect them in any capacity whatsoever to make themselves compatible with an alpha release.

before download just remember guys : if wanna that works well with mods need w8 that comes to stable version, not alpha or beta and wait your desired modder/mods got compatible with that, belive alot things changed.

Understood.  Kind of amazed it's working with as many of the other mods even in alpha so far.  Performance is way better so I'll probably stick with alphas until release.

A shame, it would be cool if Sexlab was compatible with body variety mods without constant adjustment.

 

I think its best to make SexLab work properly with standard bodies and to have nice animations without ragdolling or sudden jumping. What you suggested could be added later at some point.

I was thinking about animations for large groups, and it occured to me that if you could make the switching seem natural, you could support much more gangbang varieties by having a system where there is a regular threeway animation and however many masturbation ones, with the actors switching between masturbating and fucking semi-randomly at each stage or second stage.

Wow... that would be ALOT of scripting.   And probably better suited for a separate mod.

I was wondering, after having read about what will be done with expressions (Which I like) and their enjoyment being based on how experienced the other PC or NPC is, I wonder if some kind of system could be built in so that it makes orgasm dependent on that enjoyment? Like a specific amount of enjoyment must be reaches for either PC or NPC to reach orgasm. So at the end of the animation, perhaps one can reach orgasm and the other does not depending of course on the enjoyment/skills of the other participant. If this makes any sense at all? It could make it more immersive and bit more realistic and perhaps encourage getting a more experienced pc so that one could get pleased and I imagine it would make it interesting with prostitution mods, where you wouldn't make money hand over fist, you would have to "work" at it trying to raise the enjoyment of the other partner. Well.. these were thoughts of mine.

Ashal I have asked on another mod thread. But i think it will be better suited here:

 

Mods like Hunter Born has an option that once you install the mod for first try it will be deactivated at first game / new game. And once you load a new game you can then activate this mod though mcm.

 

I was wondering if something like this could also be implemented for sexlab. At first load to be deactivated and then switched on through mcm to prevent papyrus to be overloaded by different scripted mods all trying to load at the same time ??

 

The reason for this is many sexlab mods all are using heavy types of scripting like defeat or other combat oriented mods. Lowering the papyrus usage at first start will stop papyrus from being totally overloaded and also allow all mods to be initialized properly after that.

Wouldn't that cause a whole bunch of errors as all the sexlab mods tried to initialize?

All mods require sexlab.esm as base of there own. What difference is there if Ashal made a major update those mods needs to be updated to to work with the latest esm. If all mods uses that then all mods will be off at game start till Sexlab is activated. This will only work as fail safe to stop overloading papyrus when all scripted mods wants to do the same thing at once, since a new game will overload the entire system.

SexLab has no control over what other mods do, and by itself is completely inactive, in that beyond the initial install SexLab isn't doing anything with Papyrus at all until told to start an animation by another mod. Making it disabled by default wouldn't stop other mods from running their scripts, it would just break them as they fail to start an animation.

Change log from the previous alpha 2 is as follows:

  • A proverbial shitload of optimizations I won't bother mentioning.
  • Completely reworked the install system so it is now more consistent, faster, and reliable.
  • Added back expressions to animations
  • Added a toggle option to completely disable expressions
  • Added a toggle option for disabling lip sync on moans (disabled by default)
  • Overhauled a lot of the actor stat tracking:
    • In addition to the original Anal, Oral, and Vaginal stats, there is now 3 additional ones: Foreplay, Purity, & Perversion.
    • Purity & Perversion both replace the previously implemented single purity stat.
    • Foreplay skill increases as you play animations during the foreplay stage before the main animation.
    • Stats are now tracked with "time experience" rather than single one off increases every animation. The longer you play a certain type animation in a scene the more xp you get from it.
    • Max 5 XP gained for each skill type during animation.
    • In addition to xp gains for skills, an actors enjoyment of an animation is increased with their partners proficiency in that animation type.
    • Enjoyment penalties are given to gay actors in straight pairings, straight actors in gay pairings, straight male actors in female positions, and straight female actors in male positions.
    • Actors "enjoyment levels" of an animation are increased by their partners skill in animation types and feeds itself into the expression system, the higher the actors enjoyment level the more pronounced the expression is.
    • For debug purposes: Currently during an animation your console will be spammed with a lot of text concerning actors and their current enjoyment levels. Right now I'm not really happy with how this scales, it seems to increase to quickly and to easily for actors with low proficiency levels. So I'd appreciate some thoughts on what people think it should scale like.

Barring any major complications and bug fixes that need to happen, this will likely be the last alpha release. If it goes well I may decide to forgo the current new feature plans and just release it sooner rather than later as an official release, working on the new stuff later.

After installing i had to click on rebuild in mcm to make it work (probably as intended)

 

Bad Things:

 

-a bit of camera shaking when preparing stage and undressing

-characters shouldn't change places (teleport on each others side)

-characters shouldn't undress while standing directly in front of each other (serious clipping when they bend down. distance should be increased during this stage)

-while changing stages one character was equipping strapon while other one was humping air (one should wait for the other to be ready for next stage - stand by phase perhaps)

-some expression is making characters open their mouth way to much (happened during kissing),

-character is not blinking during expression and looks dead (perhaps expressions need timer settings same as sounds)

-spells for debugging are not working when casted - nothing happens,

-strapons don't equip sometimes (my guess is because of tfc mode on, but i think it happened even with that option turned off)

-ragdoling is working as usual, but when turned off characters get up faster then usual and exuip clothes almost instantly (perhaps undress animation should be played here again)

-sometimes while changing stages characters equip and then again unequip armor (probably bug and reason why strapon is also not always equipped)

-im not sure if even actor hights technicly does anything now but while off positions were not correct, when on it was much better but im not sure if there was any hight scaling

 

 

Good things:

 

+Character positions seem to be better then in 1.39 version.

+Expressions work as intended except for one that doesnt look right

 

Used alpha 3 with latest Sexlab Submit. Mostly tested girl on girl. Improvement is visible but i hope this things will be fixed in final release.

creatures animations doesnt work, it tries to use the default animation registry instead of the creatures one.

In the alpha 3 i can't choose the PC voice anymore (except for random), not sure if it is not current bug in the alpha release though.

This really should be in the Original Post now instead of deep in the thread where so few people will ever look but if you want to report problems, then you need to provide more than "xxx doesn't work". Follow the link and follow the instructions for reporting problems so Ashal has the data he needs to work with to find and fix the problem.

Expressions have been fairly jarring for me. Often their teeth stay more closed, and thus disconnected from their mouths. http://i.imgur.com/kOJWvmy.jpg They also are just kind of scary because they do not move at all, it is like fucking a screaming doll. That may be impossible to avoid, but for now I think I will keep them off. Neutral expressions are a bit weird, but at least they aren't creepy.

 

I also had a case of sex interrupting to applaud a bard and a case of someone requiping their armour during sex. I should have checked the console messages then, but forgot.

Can confirm the creature problem. Creature functionaly is entirely broken, as they call from the wrong animation list. The woman will perform a random human on human animation, while the creature stands there idling.
