Messing with the PC's ability to orgasm in sex scenes seems likely to break something or have unintended consequences.  At a guess, it would involve overriding one or more SexLab scripts, with a lot of potential for conflicts, so that's not something I'd want to do.

Hm... Maybe then reduce the pleasure gauge of the PC to some minimum values instead of an outright interdict? Reduce to 0.01% of standard or something like that

The skill loss mechanism is a good penalty.  However, when I think about a lovesick 'overload', I would think a penalty of insatiable arousal and/or an inability to wear clothes/armor in the body slot for X number of game hours would have some interesting role playing options.

Also, the permanent resistance loss seems a bit harsh.  Maybe offer an option to make a large contribution to the temple of Dibella, or go without sex for an ingame month, etc., to reset the resistance stat.

Thanks for the mod.

Does it work with female NPCs?

Hi, I see that you're a new member.  Welcome to LoversLab!

This mod only affects the player character.

I meant sex with a female NPC.

No, only men.

I don't know how to make custom patches and creation kit is not opening, can you provide an optional patch with your nMales variable including sexlab female count? That will most likely do it I think.

If you have time, thank you for the replies anyways.

That really goes against the concept of having sex with one gender being risky and the other safe, so that's not something I want to do.  If you're looking for more general sex consequence mods, you might consider SexLab Survival or a wear & tear mod like Apropos 2.

So I dig the concept of this mod, but I'm running into an issue where the Euphoria/Love Sickness debuff seems to count down in real time instead of game time? IE, it gets up to say, 24h, I sleep for 8, it's still 24h.

Is there another mod that could have possibly been fiddling with this and I'm just missing it?

I did a quick test and the effect counted down normally during sleep.  You might check your timescale setting to be sure that it's what you expect.  It's also conceivable that a mod is interfering with spell duration while you sleep, but I'd expect that to affect all active spell effects.

Hey @HexBolt8! Can you please for SE convert esp file to form 44 and mark as esl please?:)

It could be converted to form 44 but it is not a good idea to convert it to esp-light (this last one you can do it yourself with Wrye Bash). There are mods like Sexy Adventures that use Love Sickness and changing their formids would break the integration.

Form 44 here:

I've found it does not need a conversion to Form 44. I was also able to eslify it using Vortex's mark as light feature.

Exactly, it works in both LE and SE without conversion. This only serves to prevent MO2 and Wrye Bash from showing you a warning that you are using plugins in form 43.

great mod. might be a fun addition if the sliders could also be adjusted to help 'buff' the player and balance out some of the debuffs for some pros/cons to love sickness

It's designed to give debuffs, not buffs ;)

For what it's worth, this continues to be an important part of my builds to add some negative to failure. Simple concept and execution. And has worked in a wider variety of setups than I expected (currently functioning under a experience/static skill leveling game).

I wish more mods were aware of it, but that's a whole 'nother ballgame.

Hmm would it be possible to make this mod work with Ostim Standalone as well as sexlab?

I can't say, I don't use it.  This mod is designed for SexLab.  To the extent that other sex frameworks are built to be SexLab compatible, they might work, but no guarantees.

EDIT:  Thanks to A|one, there's now a version for Ostim.  Choose the appropriate file from the downloads section.

Version 1.2

New:  MCM setting for shout cooldown.

Changed:  The Working Clothes setting didn't work well due to clothing stripping before sex scenes.  A new mechanism remembers the last equipped clothing.  If you're updating and you had enabled swallowing when working, simply opening the MCM once will recheck your clothing.

Changed:  Changing a setting in the MCM now automatically updates the spell effect (no need to click Reapply).

Changed:  Preserving your settings across save loads while love sick is more robust.

Changed:  The "When to check" setting will default (on new installations) to "On sex end" if SLSO is detected.

Changed:  Notifications now use past tense if "When to check" is on sex end.

Removed:  The MCM "Reapply" button was removed because it's no longer needed.

I used your mod before in my list and it worked. I started a new play through and i cant get in to show up in the mcm. Any suggestions? I've tried the previous file and the new updated one as well.

A non-appearing MCM is a generic problem, but I can suggest general remedies:

- Be sure that you have installed the prerequisites and that they are working.

- Save and reload your game.

- Try "setstage SKI_ConfigManagerInstance 1" in the console and wait a minute or two.

- Enter any other mod's MCM menu, then exit and wait a minute.

- Reinstall the mod.  That sometimes works for people.

I found this while trying to recompile

Running: .../Papyrus Compiler/PapyrusCompiler lvskMain.psc -f=TESV_Papyrus_Flags.flg -i='<dirs>'

Starting 1 compile threads for 1 files...
Compiling "lvskMain"...
...\lvskMain.psc(3,17): cannot name a variable or property the same as a known type or script

Your source file starts off with:

Scriptname lvskMain extends Quest Conditional

lvskMCM Property MCM auto

I'm compiling from the command line, not the CK, but I can compilation works for any other mod I try.   Are you using the Bethesda compiler?   Is there something different I need to do to make this compile?

It turns out that there's something in my mod tree that's defining "MCM" as a type...   Leaving this post here in case anyone else has this problem.  (Obvious quick fix it to rename all instances of "MCM" to something else like "lvskMENU".)

Ostim Version

An Ostim conversion was kindly provided by @A|one.  It's in the downloads, labeled "Ostim".

- SexLab is not a requirement.
- The "When to check" feature only works when "cums inside player".
- Removed everything related to rape or creatures.

- Removed all mention of SLSO.

Thank you to A|one for creating this conversion!
