Yes, losing skill level does reduce your "level exp" by some amount (going from two handed 5 to 4 makes you lose 5 exp), but I was wondering if it was possible to not make it reliant on skill loss, but pure base exp loss. Like in Experience mod you get 30 xp (base, not skill) for clearing something, same here - overload causes base 30 xp reduction + reduction from skill loss if they were lost.

That's really not something I want to do. The mod is built around losing skills (with their associated XP).
